Editing this because my review seems to have been removed….strange.I came around 4:00 PM on March 16th.The cashier checking me out (late 40’s, 5’7”, gray beard) was extremely out of touch/sexist. He repeatedly stated how he loves when women have a membership to harbor freight (insinuating that it’s uncommon for women to shop at harbor freight or need basic tools??). Not only did he make myself, my girlfriend, and another worker uncomfortable, he sounded like a complete idiot. A worker standing behind the cashier was asked if he agrees and tried to bail the cashier out by stating he “loves when everyone has a membership” but the cashier seemed to lack the cognitive ability to take a hint. He proceeded to double down on this terrible take and when I was finally about to leave the cashier asked if I needed help loading up my purchase. After telling him no he started making remarks on how I would need to “man-handle” this package. I told him that I would simply only need to carry it and he continued on remarking how I would need to “man-handle” it and how he loves “man-handling” things. Heavy emphasis on the “man”. Overall if you’re not looking to be bothered by a sexist POS I wouldn’t recommend shopping here.

I've been waiting for a long time for harbor freight to come to the coast. I wrote the owner of numerous times and asked him to put one down here and he has finally done so. There are many things you can buy at harbor freight that you can buy at Lowe's, home Depot, and any other major retailer. The main difference is the fact that the same things they sell for five times the price you can get at harbor freight for the base price. I weld, I can buy all my consumables right there at harbor freight and save tons of money. Or I could go to a name brand store get the same product and empty my bank account trying to pay for it. Everyone should go to harbor freight. Highly recommended

Excited to see a harbor freight in Newport. It’s a good size harbor freight with the same prices as the other locations in big cities. Great for hand tools and some power tools but you’ll have to go elsewhere for construction materials.
