Be sure and make time to wander this store for a while to see the wonderful selection of quality gifts, clothes, games, and toys - as well as items you never knew you needed - for all ages. I was really impressed. (Bring your own bag, as a way of encouraging use of reusable bags, the City of Newport requires businesses to charge for providing bags; but if you forget, it's only a dime and the owner directly donates all funds from the bag fee to essential local non-profit service organizations:)

This is the most beautifully curated store. I am a local and have been going to Childish Tendencies since my child was born, almost 8 years ago. From cuddly bamboo clothing, to adorable stuffies, and award winning games, this store has something for everyone young and young at heart.

Was not satisfied with the customer service, thank Goodness i was just visiting. Oh travelers beware this gift shop charges you for a bag on top of your purchase. (It was drizzly that day too.)So I carried my Christmas gifts in my hand, which really took away from the entire shopping experience. 😕

I walked in to browse the slime section as I was in need of some scrumptious slimy slime. A very short lady walked up to me and asked if she could help and she did very well. She showed me the pickle slime so I was like omg I love pickles. I purchased the pickle slime and walked out happy. The customer service was so good in fact I came back 3 times just to say hi to the staff and to browse the plushies. I will definitely be coming back. Thank you to the staff.

I love this store and am grateful for the huge impact they have on our small community. Not only does my family love to shop here but the family who own this store give back to the community in so many ways through their time and donations. They have a huge selection of toys, games, books, and clothing along with so much more. Not only do they stock a wide variety of high quality boutique items that are hard to find other places; they are constantly finding ways to contribute to our local community. My kids LOVE shopping here, I love shopping here, and I recommend anyone looking for a high quality enjoyable gift for your child shop here as well.

The store is lovely but the young girl working was beyond rude. My 6 year old and I were shopping with grandma and he wanted to show me the toys he found, but because I was in the attached store she informed us that toys must stay in the toy store. While that is fine and makes sense, her tone, and the fact that she jumped down my mother throat when informing her was unnecessary. When my mother replied that he is only 6 and was looking for his mom, she replied " it doesn't matter". A six year old is not capable of understanding why the stores are separate but not separated and working at a toy store, this has to be pretty common. She acted as if he was trying to steal or I was using him as a way to steal a plastic sword. She then watched us the entire time. I had about 200 bucks worth of toys I was going to get and I put it all back.

We have been purchasing from this company for years. I am in an online group of moms who discuss the best places to purchase gifts with the best selections and customer service. Childish Tendencies is hands down one of the best places. We love all the staff and the personalization with each order. It is very clear they company truly cares about its customers!! We have been back a ton and will continue to shop there!! I would give it 10 stars if it was an option!!

Super cute store. Most seaside store merchandise is tacky and low quality but I was seriously impressed with this store! The clothing was cute and really good quality. Not to mention at an affordable price for tourist spot! I loved it.

I found this shop through a Facebook ad and decided to give it a try as it has a lot of bamboo baby clothes we love (Kickee pants). Upon placing my order, within MINUTES I received my shipping confirmation! A few days later when I received my package, low and behold there was freebee’s for my children! Stickers and the cutest little trinkets! Granted it was a hefty order and our first but regardless, definitely wasn’t expecting that! I’m sure this isn’t an EVERYTIME thing, but that extra mile has definitely made me a return shopper! I love that there is still kindness in this world. Thank you Childish Tendencies!

When I walked in the owner was talking about toxic masculinity and political views. The whole situation made me uncomfortable as I was just trying to take my son toy shopping.The store was clean and tidy. They have quality products that aren't found is nearby retail stores.

I went shopping from Boise, we first entered the store and were barked at to sanitize hands, to which we both just did. On top of that the blonde Manager was very rude when we had to go back and return a blouse missing a strap. She seemed Put out, and made the comment that " don't return again ", no worries We Are From Boise. This store is never going to do well with such negative energy!
