We had a great time at Breakers End! The cottage is beautiful and perfectly appointed. I especially liked the kitchen, with its roomy refrigerator and Dutch door. My daughter loved making mini waffles every morning and then exploring the beach. Low tide meant sea stars and sea anemones, crab shells and sand dollar pieces.The whole family had a great time — and September was the perfect time to go.

Breakers End was a charming cottage just a stone’s throw from the beach. We appreciated the attention to detail throughout the space and found ourselves commenting on the thoughtfulness that went into everything from the well-stocked kitchen to the port hole in the upstairs loft that made the kids to feel like they were captains of their own ship. My favorite feature, however, had to be the outdoor shower with hot water. It was the perfect way to wrap up a long run on the beach. Just what this family of five needed! Thank you.

Breakers End is our favorite place to stay on the Oregon coast! We love absolutely everything about this home!!The layout of the house is perfect. It’s on the smaller side but perfect for our family. We cook almost all of our meals in the beautiful, well-equipped kitchen. The towels, blankets, soaps, sheets, etc. are top of the line. In fact, I have purchased many of the same items for our home because I loved them so much.The house is amazingly spotless each time we’ve been. I really appreciate this as we’ve stayed in some places that look clean online but are definitely not.The large, fenced in yard is a huge plus. We like to bring our dog and we feel great letting him safely run around to get his energy out.We love the small, charming town of Neskowin. We get take-out at least one of the nights from the cafe down the road. And we pick up groceries from the market next door…all within walking distance.The home is just steps from the beach. Being able to walk a short distance to the beautiful ocean is priceless!We are able to unwind and relax in this beautiful home. Hillary is incredibly easy to work with and we are so thankful for that. We are so happy we found this gem. We have stayed here a few times and can’t wait to schedule our next trip!

Breakers End provided the home base for the restful and rejuvenating spring break we were hoping for. The home is beautiful and the hosts have gone above and beyond to provide amenities that provide for a comfortable and fun stay. My kids loved the loft and spent countless hours playing and reading up there. The kitchen is fully stocked- with items you would expect/ hope for, but also so many thoughtful additions. The waffle maker was a definite highlight of the week. It was our first time in Neskowin and we look forward to coming back. The beach is beautiful and quiet- and a quick stroll from the cottage. Sunset was breathtaking. Hawk Creek Cafe has delicious wood fired pizza, and Village Scoop was a favorite stop for treats throughout the week. We took a quick 15/20 min drive to Pacific City one day for a hike, lunch at Pelican Brewery, and pastries and Stimulus Coffee. But other than that, we were quite content staying cozy in the house and exploring the beach. Thank you Hillary and family for creating this beautiful space- we look forward to coming back!

BEST place in Neskowin we've ever stayed! Close to the beach, creek, Proposal Rock, store, cafe...everything! Endless amenities, stocked with everything we could have possibly needed. Beautiful, homey, perfect.

Breaker's End is fantastic. It's been recently and beautifully remodeled. Everything there is super comfortable and well thought out. The kitchen has then best induction stove I've ever used and is well provisioned if you wish to cook your own meals. The week we stayed there was mostly rainy (aka Oregon liquid sunshine). We had one sunny beach day which was glorious - great beach, very close, proposal rock. We can hardly wait to revisit Breaker's End and Neskowin once human interaction is rational and allowed again.

Breaker's End offered just the change of scenery we needed for a fall getaway after months of sheltering at home. The owners of this recently-renovated cottage included every possible amenity, and the beach decor could be right out of a cottage-living magazine. The kitchen is upscale with state-of-the-art appliances and top-of-the-line cookware and utensils. I love to cook and it was an unexpected treat to have such high-quality kitchen equipment. Although the cottage is small, it doesn't feel that way. High ceilings and tasteful decorating give it an airy, spacious feeling, and the large outdoor patio area is a comfortable place to hang out and read or enjoy a meal. Our party of four had more than enough room to visit, and to find privacy when we needed to participate in a Zoom call or do a bit of work. The stunning Oregon coastline is only a few steps away and we enjoyed walks several times a day -- even on the day of our visit that was foggy and blustery! Hilary is a host extraordinaire: she provides a detailed house guide that gives you all the information about her home, and she has placed thoughtful notes around the house to make it easy to use appliances and equipment that may be unfamiliar to guests. I highly recommend Breaker's End. You won't be disappointed!

We thoroughly enjoyed our weekend at this charming old Bath house that been redone to the nines! Finally a rental that has high end finishes, furnishings, great knives that are actually sharp! Great gourmet kitchen, private patio and just steps from the beach. This is probably the nicest rental I've stayed in. Hillary put her heart and soul into the remodel and it shows. She thought of everything as a host and is super responsive. I hope to come back to this gem!

The Breakers End is an exceptional experience. Fully equipped, wonderful beds and all amenities you will need. We had a week filled with relaxation, the beautiful serenity of Neskowin beach and its welcoming community. We were so fortunate to hit it right at low tide and to experience several days of the amazing ghost forest. We will definitely return and give Breakers End the highest recommendation!

As all of us know, sometimes, Life can become a bit overwhelming. Summoning the strength, the energy, the patience, and the desire to rise from one’s bed and face the pressures, problems, and deadlines of a long day requires fortitude of spirit. When this inner-strength-of-being is not nourished, what may just be a typically normal day of your week may feel more like an exhaustive and tedious litany of monotonous tasks.It is at this very juncture in which I found myself the last week in September. Quite simply, I needed to get away. But where? I knew it couldn’t just be anywhere. It needed to be a special and magical place. And, I only had two days reprieve from work, so it needed to be close. Two days is an extremely short period of time to expect the rejuvenation of one’s soul, so my expectations would , also, need to be practical. At least, this is what I thought at the time.But, every once in awhile, Life holds in store for each of us a surprise. I like to believe this is when the God’s are listening and they, in their great and ubiquitous wisdom, come to realize that you have been challenged and tested, as strong a person as you are, to your point of maximum overload. And, so, it was at this apex of spiritual depletion that I was guided by divine hands to to website of Breaker’s End in Neskowin, Oregon.YES! I exclaimed. The Ocean’s immense positive energy is just what I need! And, thus, began my journey of what I can only describe as the most relaxing, most restoring, and most rejuvenating weekend I have experienced in memory.Breaker’s End is, without exaggeration, a MAGICAL place. The cottage is itself Neskowin history and it, indeed, has pedigree. It is one of the oldest of the very few existing structures in Neskowin Village having been built in the early 1930’s. At that time, it served as a bath house for Neskowin patrons. It was later in the 1940’s that it became privately owned as a place of residence. Indeed, if you are looking for the authentic beach cottage experience, Breaker’s End is it!I arrived to Breaker’s End on Saturday afternoon after having the most wonderfully decompressing drive from Portland through the Tillamook State Forest. I stopped off in the small dairy farm community of Tillamook at a cafe called The Blue Heron for a surprisingly delicious and substantial lunch. And, after my fill, I proceeded on through quintessential Oregon comprised of gorgeous farm country, flower filled fields, mountain vistas, winding narrow roads and quaint antique laden towns like Hebo and Coverdale. Upon arriving to Neskowin, I drove slowly right by a well-stocked gourmet deli called the Neskowin Trading Company and two restaurants: The Beach Club Bistro and Cafe On Hawk Creek. Finding nourishment and libation for this weekend would not be a problem, but a pleasure!Breaker’s End was only a few more seconds drive toward the beach and, oh!, it did not disappoint upon first sighting! Nestled perfectly in the sand dunes, screened for privacy along one side by Black bamboo and surrounded by native Oregon pine trees, there simply is no other man-made structure in Neskowin that so aptly, so rightly and so deservedly owns is pristine placement as Breaker’s End cottage.I found parking the proximally allocated parking area immediately. It is ample, convenient and safe as I noticed it is monitored by a Ring outdoor camera. As I exited my vehicle and made my way to the entry, the exterior of the cottage still maintains all of its original architectural detail and character. It is a real charmer! And, I truly felt as if I were transported back in time. I walked into a spacious outdoor patio area that is gated from two opposite entry/exit points...perfect for keeping my best friend and yellow lab, Charlie safe while I’m inside preoccupied with other things. There was plenty of seating and tables for eating out. But, to my surprise, and not even on my bucket list, there behind its own privacy screen was an out door shower! TO BE CONTINUED IN NEXT POST.
