I love doctor Matt, his crew, and animal Haven by The Sea Rescue. It's always a good high vibe place. Our pets are always super comfortable and excited to go there. At this rate, they might have to expand 😉 they are always looking for donations to help those less fortunate and in need. Everyone deserves a good home and companionship, and that's what they do. Got an appointment in a timely manner. Employees and Dr. were all very kind and helpful. The office is beautiful and prices are reasonable. I wish I'd been given time to ask a few questions & parking is non-existent. But still, 100% awesome experience.

Visiting Dr. Matt was the best experience my rat terrier and I have ever had! Thank you! Usually Rosie has a panic attack just being at the vet. Dogs just know ♥️I am so grateful for the professional, straight up talk about her care. Loved that he petted her and I felt gave us the time we needed to be able to go back to Astoria back on track.The office was cheery and bright, the staff was friendly and helpful. I trust this place more than any other vet I've taken my cats to. They've taken care of serious injuries (infected bite, twice) and also let me know when something wasn't serious and didn't try to upsell. The vet is so good with the animals, I swear his calm confidence keeps them calm despite everything. The building itself is warm and welcoming. When we've had to make an emergency visit and wait to be seen between appointments, they've always made time.

My dog Nova needed ACL surgery and they did a wonderful job. She has not had any issues since the surgery and I always recommend them anytime someone needs surgery done for their pet. This was done over 2 years ago and still have no issues.

Doctor Diddley and his staff are one of the best I've ever had an experience with. He's so kind and his office staff is also very kind and helpful. He saved my animals more than one time. I could not recommend a better veterinarian in the area. He's the best Linda Bartlett.

Dr. Matt is my favorite and has been my vet for years and he is also an awesome vet that is the only one in the county helping with spay and neuter at reduced prices for United paws and helps with a clinic a couple times a month and I volunteer for that as well. Heart of gold! His place is super busy and this is why!!! Here are just a few of our many that his clinic helps us with! ❤️🐾❤️

Nehalem Animal Healing is by far the BEST veterinary hospital I've ever seen. The facility itself is clean and we'll put together. The work the Men & Women here do is absolutely phenomenal! Dr. Matt goes above and beyond the call of duty for the animals and is a over all an amazing human being with a wonderful way with animals. My family and I definitely recommend this clinic to everyone.

I am blessed and proud to say that Nehalem Animal Healing is the only place I'll ever take my furr babies. The Dr. And the staff are amazing people. They fixed my little bears leg and did there very best for my Oliver Moe. Thank you guys for all the time and caring work you do. I have been taking my animals to see Dr. Matt Didlake for close to 20 years. I first started seeing him when he was working beside the wonderful Dr. Larry Goza at Columbia Veterinary in Astoria.Dr. Didlake has always treated my animals like they were his own. He sits down on the floor with them, making them feel comfortable. His calm and peaceful demeanor is shown very clearly through the way my animals react when they are there. He is a wealth of information and I love that he gives me “at home/DIY” tips for things like yeast on the feet; he understands that not everyone can afford expensive medications or treatments.I couldn’t speak more highly of him and his staff is amazing! Thank you, Nehalem Animal Healing, you are truly the best!

Our 10 month old kitten was injured by a racoon just over a week ago. We found slight injuries over the weekend and brought him in first thing last Monday. We were told there was possible fractures in the tail and back leg. We waited for 2 hours before being told he was being kept for observation, and later that day we were told there was no sign of a break and to bring him home and watch him. He was given a steroid shot, antibiotic shot, and pain medicine. On Wednesday he puked or passed blood and a clot of tissue several inches long. The clinic was closed for surgery that day so we brought the kitten and the tissue clot in on Thursday morning. They looked him over and we were told internal injury was unlikely and to continue watching him. They sent us home with an IV bag and some medicine to sooth his gut. He got worse over the weekend and we were unable to get him to this clinic or any other. We brought him in at 9:20 this morning and waited over half an hour. After he was looked over we were quickly told that there was extensive internal trauma, and the prognosis with immediate emergency treatment was unlikely to save him. We decided the only humane thing to do was to let him go. He was gone at 10:53 this morning, and we got him home at 11:06 and began to bury him. Had the vet listened and done more for him on Monday or Thursday, we could have saved his life or at least saved him a week of suffering.

Wonderful vet! Mat is absolutely one of the best vets I've ever had the joy of dealing with. This place is friendly ,kind and clean. The only slight problem I could see is a little lacking in the calling back or returning emails but as far as staff and the care of your furry friend they are top notch!

Our cat has to get her nails trimmed once a month. She was traumatized by a tech at our last vet. Brian is amazing with her and has gained her trust but still have to sedate her. He never gives up. Great folks.

Dr. Matt is the only vet I will take my pets too! Our little “mini” midnight started seeing him when he was still at gozas office. He saved her life with salmon poisoning at 6 mos. Old! She’s still seeing him at 13! He saved her life once again last year, she had a huge cancerous tumor, I was afraid because it’s my daughters dog. She’s so attached to her, I couldn’t bring myself to put her down. My daughter graduated from college and moved back home, took mini to Dr. Matt. She called me at work in hysterics, there was nothing they could do, the tumor was huge! I told Dr. Matt to let mini decide if she was going to make it on the operating table or not. He didn’t give me much hope. He did the surgery and Brad even brought her home for us with instructions ❤️ the tumor was 6 pounds. A year later and she’s like a new pup with a few aches and pains! I started making her food and giving her all the holistic medicine he told us too. She’s still going strong, Dr. Matt saw her a yesterday for a bad back, at almost 14, what would you expect. He couldn’t even believe how well and snappy she is😁 with the old girls ibuprofen, she’s playing with our puppy, who Matt has also taken care of.

I love the Veterinarian here! He is so amazing and so kind. One of those people you can tell truly loves their profession. I wish I had found him earlier in my pet parenting life, but I am glad I have him now. If you have any questions or concerns, he is right there working through it with you, and he never speaks down to you. He also never pushes ideas or medications. So happy to have him locally.
