Went to ace and picked up a gfi outlet. It was almost $10 more than home depot.Got home to install it and found it had been used and returned and was now missing parts. Returned it to ace and picked up a new one and was told it was a different type of gfi outlet and priced $2 more. Not offered a straight exchange but had to pay the difference even with my inconvenience, lost of time and gas. Great customer service, not!!! I'll probably send the time and gas and go to home depot from now on.

After looking for something specific that they normally carry at Ace at both the Estacada and Canby stores with no luck, Molalla came through. Polite staff, and they even threw in a stir stick and can opener for free and packed this in a box so it would not tip over in my car, after insuring the lid was on tight. Now that's great customer service!

If you think customer service is dead, you need to go to Ace Hardware in Molalla. You will be greeted when you enter and by every passing associate. You never have to wander around looking lost for long because they recognize that look and will help you with kindness and knowledge. I really enjoy going to this store simply because of their top-notch service!

Friendly helpful staff, but trying to use coupons here is nuts. Between the fine print exclusions and the lack of flexibility. We lacked 1 penny of being able to use our $10 off coupon on a$50 purchase, and everything we tried to add to the order was excluded. We finally had to purchase a $3 item that was not worth the price and that we didn't really want to use the coupon at all. The staff rates 5 stars.

Nice, clean store. Staff helpful. Recommend they open more checkout stations when busy, 1 line of 4 customers is not good customer service; sending customers to garden dept. to checkout is not helpful, esp for those with mobility issues! Maybe 1 self check out line would be something they'd consider since they don't seem to have enough check out clerks, but have many employees in the store! Good store overall though!!

Worst customer service I've ever experienced! Lived here over 35 years and over a free hat they threw over a 1,000.00 sale and told me to never come back, cause those hats ain't free!! Even though you get a free hat with every chain saw or blower.we were buying 3 large ticket items and an ap300 battery( all stihl items)and they threw us out, cause we said you owe us 3 hats. Never will I or my family shop here again. All over a free hat! Sad!

Staff are always friendly and helpful and there's a reasonable selection of products for the size of the store. Love that they are extremely pet friendly so it's a great option to take puppies for socialization even during the pandemic when options for that are limited.

So glad to have this store in town! The staff is amazing, and for it's small size it usually has what you need for the off job that needs done in the house.There is also a supply of outdoor and pet supplies which has come in real handy.The chain provides a military discount for you veterans out there, and they have events to enrich the town as well.More than anything the surprising relationship with the team members at Ace has amazed me, truly some of the nicest people in Molalla staffing this store, and it has always been a pleasure to shop there.

For a small town store they surprisingly have a lot of stuff, rarely do I have to go elsewhere when in need of some do-dad, or thingy, or that one round thing that goes on the that one thing, luckily the staff is well versed in "housewife/handy-lady" and take me right to the part I need.

Well I can start with saying that staff was friendly and helpful. Then I could go on to say how much stuff is there it's crazy. From light bulbs and light fixtures to drills and flashlights. They even have clothing it's just a awesome hardware store really nice too. All in all I think I'm going to have to give them five stars. I'll try to post some pictures tomorrow.

Nice friendly store. Like it that they employ young people to help find things. I am new to the area after being gone for 10years and they have been helpful to me getting resettled in with the necessities from a plumbers friend to light bulbs. No problem with exchanges when I bought the wrong size closet rod. Great buy on work gloves under $2 worked great for stacking in my winter wood supply. The rubber undersides gave a good grip with no splinters and good protection from cleaning solvents.

Friendly staff, always very helpful and knowledgeable.David in the Stihl Dept is doing a great job filling the shoes of their old tech that recently retired.I go here for all of my Stihl equipment (pretty often I might add) and will continue to do so.Everybody there knows me and why I'm there as soon as I walk in the door and they always treat me like family!Also, Casey who was recently promoted is doing a great job! Couldn't have picked a better guy for the position.Keep up the good work guys! 👍

When I think of excellent customer service, my mind always thinks of days gone by. You would go into your local hardware store, they would know you, you would know them. You would catch up and then get help finding what it was you were looking for and off you would go, feeling good about the entire experience.When I was a Customer Service Supervisor, one of the things we tried to stress to our employees was "You are the company to our customers. They think of you and the company at the same time. The experience they have with you, is the experience they have with the company. Good or bad, that was the impression you left."With that all in mind, let me take a moment to tell you about our family's experience with Molalla Ace and in particular their employee Victor. From the moment we first came into contact with him, he was friendly, helpful, caring and the perfect representation any company would want from their employee. After that, we were not just going to Ace to get something, we were going to see Victor and grab what we needed! Sometimes, we knew it may be on sale a little bit cheaper that day somewhere else, but the customer service experience made the difference.This is exactly what any company would want from their employee in the customer service field and Victor excels at it!Now as if that wasn't enough.....Victor not only cares about his customers and community in the store...but outside as well. When we had the fires, there was Victor helping. In this latest Ice Storm, Victor was helping. I pray that ACE recognizes the value of Victor and how much he brings to any employer that is lucky enough to have him on his payroll. He is a top notch Customer Service provider.I would be remiss, if I didn't also mention my experience today with Steve, who helped me find a most wonderful ACE branded torch which I absolutely love. It is so easy to use and I already made a duck feeder and a waterer with it using materials purchased from ACE today.Thank you Victor, Steve and ACE. This place has everything you need then some. The staff is fairly knowledgeable overall and the prices are competitive.I would have given this place five stars except for I felt like I was being constantly watched several times if I was browsing some cool tools that I was checking out, it felt like they were just waiting for me to slip something in my pocket and try to walk out..... so I will go there if I know EXACTLY what I need, but don't plan to do any browsing around here if you don't want to have a set of eyes on you.

Buyer beware, check your product, this Ace knowingly sells bad product. I purchased liquid weed killer here that i did not use for about a week after purchasing, receipt long gone. When I went to use it, it was gelled into chunks clogging the sprayer it was supposed to come out of. I notified the store the next time I was in, and instead of offering to replace it the manager told me that it happened to him as well, and that it was old product they had gotten in "but they have new stuff now."

They've been very good to us. I often find products here for less than what they're listed for on Amazon. -1 star because they don't ever have enough bright white Feit bulbs @1100-1600 lumens.

Always greeted as you walk in the door. If you don't find what you need in this store it's because you're invisible. I was asked at least four times if I needed any help twice while in the same aisle. Great selection and fair prices.
