We loved our stay here. We had room no. 3 which was spacious and had its own kitchen with very new appliances including a full size refrigerator, stove with oven, microwave, toaster, coffee maker, and fully stocked cupboards dishes, glasses etc. The spice rack was a nice extra. Could live in this room for a longer stay. Had two beds(queens I think). Everything was extremely clean. Nice fluffy towels in the bathroom. In the main level lobby common area basic breakfast items were available such as bagels, cereals, yogurt and fresh fruit, well stocked. Two refrigerators available in this area one of which was for guests to store any of their own perishable items in.The outdoor sitting lounging area was pleasant with man made water feature cascading down.A short walk to a good restaurant, The Riversode.Overall this place was well designed and maintained, a hidden gem.

It doesn't get any better than the River Run Lodge in Maupin. Perfect location and clean comfortable rooms. There's a common area with continental breakfast all day and full kitchen with bbq and pretty much everything you need to make a homemade meal if you want to. Mini fridge, microwave and coffee maker in room. It's a great place to stay!

Great experience here. Contactless smooth check-in. Better accommodation than any river rat deserves and a great place for the non-yuppie fly fisherman. Self serve breakfast, internet, common area lounge, and garden area with trellis and nice plantings. It was probably last updated 10 years ago but overall it’s in nice shape. Management was on point but I never met anyone. I would stay again over any chain hotel that would cost at least 60 bucks more and be crowded. Queen bed and large bathroom ran about $115 after tax.

Okay, let me tell you why I gave this five stars by sharing something about myself. Because of life and now my career, I've currently been to over 25 of our 50 states. This place, it's one of the absolute best places I've stayed in. First, they had one of the more, if not the most competitive rate in the area. They are located a one to two minute walk from a very good bar and restaurant. They have a FULL common kitchen to use to cook dinner! At your hotel! It could be a pain in the summer I suppose due to tourism but so far during my stay in the winter months I feel like I am at home while on the road. As someone that's here for work, I truly appreciate that. The room I am staying in, Salmon, is humble, but for those here for work at least will really enjoy this lodge.

Great spot. Our family spent 5 nights at the lodge. It is very clean, comfortable, and well tended. The common area was our favorite part. We cooked dinners, tied flies at the table and hung out with the other guests. We would recommend it to anyone.

I love this place! The River Run Lodge is my home away from home when I'm in Maupin. The atmosphere is very relaxed and everyone is friendly. Mike and Dani are gracious hosts who have thought of everything right down to the high quality teas and coffee right there in the rooms. The community Redside room is a great place to relax for breakfast or an afternoon cocktail where you can get to know some of the other guests and share fishing and rafting stories. Spend a couple of nights here and you'll never want to stay anywhere else... just the right blend of rustic and modern.

Such a great place to stay, perfect for the family or for an overnight stay.My father and I stayed here a few times last year (2016 spring/summer). Though parking was a little tight, we were able to find a nice place for our driftboat. Easy access to the store and food. The owners are very friendly and accommodating, rates are the best in town. Hot showers, nice rooms! Thanks again.

Spent five nights at the lodge and really enjoyed my time there. I would recommend to anyone and I will return anytime I'm in the area. The owner/manager was kind and helpful. The common kitchen and living room areas are fantastic along with the breakfast foods available. Wifi worked great (10mbps).My room was clean and with "new"ish finishes. The floor is a bit squeaky, but the bed was good. The place was super quiet partly because it was mid-week and it was not full.

I LOVE THIS LODGE! I've stayed in the lodging in Maupin a lot in the 3 years that I guided the River. Out of all of the facilities available in this little town, the River Run Lodge is by far the most comprehensive. The owner, Mike provided everything I could possibly need to accommodate a nights or even weeks stay. The lodge is built like a cozy log cabin and is the ONLY lodging I've ever stayed in that felt like a home. Rooms have clever names that are themed toward the Deschutes River and it's surroundings/history. AC and Heating is provided in each room and can be manually controlled by the occupant. Free Wifi is available with a strong connection, along with Cable TV in rooms, including the Master Suite. Rooms are spacious with complete bathrooms and amenities (soaps, shampoos, conditioners etc). The beds are available in all sizes and are freshly cleaned and made each day (So many pillows!). Each room also has tea, coffee, microwave and water heating devices so you there is no need to go downstairs for your morning beverage. The lodge has a Family Area downstairs with large living room, TV and a full kitchen. The kitchen is available for everyone to share as a community and has a complimentary "serve yourself" breakfast available every morning. Bagels, cereal and fresh orange juice are always plentiful. I especially enjoy the ability to have a home cooked family meal while on vacation. This place is family owned and always makes you feel welcome. I'll never stay anywhere else in Maupin. Thank you, Mike!

Nice quiet spot. We stayed at the River Run for the Deschutes River Valley Time Trial Series and it was perfect to have everything so close to where we were staying. We really like the owner, Mike, and appreciated his flexibility.

The place was "perfect" .... clean, comfortable at a decent rate. I stayed here and rafted the Deschutes. Mike the owner was very responsive, even leaving me the key to the room when I decided to come (late - like midnight) the night before my original reservation. I would definitely choose this place if you are looking to stay in Maupin.

How often do you get to stay at a lodge that is brand new? Well this year is your year. The River Run has just gone through a complete remodel from top to bottom. All new guest rooms, kitchen and meeting area will greet visitors this year.Located in the heart of Maupin, the River Run is the perfect spot to rest after a long day of swinging flies or floating the Deschutes.Mike, the proprietor of this fine establishment, is one of those fly fishing guys who showed up one day and never left. They've got a quiet deck and bar-b-q area that is secluded from the world.I'm looking forward to my stay in the fall.

My review will be a bit odd because I love this place and the owner, Mike, even though we didn’t actually stay there! My 3 kids and I were stranded in our car in the mud (!) at night, in a ghost town about a 45-minute drive from Maupin. We were out there stuck in the mud from about 7pm to 11:00 and my kids were very cold, very hungry by that point (last food was lunch) and scared. Our car had also had engine issues so we would not be driving anytime soon. By 10:30 when I knew we would be making it back to Maupin via tow truck, it had become clear there were no motel rooms available in town (we were supposed to stay in Warm Springs) nor any food available for the kids in town, that time of night..The only place I could reach anyone was River Run Lodge and they were booked except for a small room with only two twin beds, yet there were 4 of us. However the owner felt bad and worried for us I think, and offered to set us up with an extra RV mattress he had and also was willing to allow my teen aged son to sleep on the couch of their common room, which he of course wouldn’t normally allow! He was also willing to heat us up a frozen pizza at midnight when we were due to arrive and offer up their cereal as well if need be! This was going so beyond the call of duty...and he was so kind and helpful when I had had a terrible experience otherwise that night, and was feeling a bit scared myself. We got lucky at the last minute and a state trooper was willing to meet us in Maupin and drive us the 45 minutes further to our reserved hotel room in Warm Springs...so we didn’t up needing to stay in Maupin after all.The next day on our way back to Portland I stopped by the River Run Lodge to thank him in person but he was out. However another lodger was there and I asked him to thank him for me if he happened to see him. That man confirmed what I could already tell: he said that Mike couldn’t be a nicer guy. He also said he loved staying there. From what I could see from the common room and kitchen where I tried to find Mike, it did look like a very nice place. I can’t wait to stay there myself - a real, proper stay - in the future, and look forward to replacing my hellish experience from that night with much happier, cozier ones!! Thanks so much Mike!

Small cozy lodge set back on the hill. Very basic comfortable accommodations. Exterior entrance to each room that is rented. Full access to the main kitchen and family room. Larger table and entertainment in this common room. Land line phone with long distance included in the common room. Cell phone service is almost non existent in this town. A lot of available wifi to see though. Lodge has wifi also.
