I just got back from a five-day trip with my 10 year old son... The guides were Bailey, Hickory and Ian.We had so much fun. The guides were EXCELLENT!!!Bailey and Hickory were on the boats with us... They made it so much fun and memorable!They were knowledgeable in the history of the area; telling us great stories about the river and surrounding areas.They knew the rapids; they kept us safe while still having fun!They kept all the guests involved by letting us row the boat on calm spots and answering all of our 1000s of questions.They made us feel like family!Ian did a phenomenal job on the gear boat!He found the BEST campsite; the campsites had room for all of us and a Bathroom!!!As a group they treated us like family and friends.They cooked great food.Played with the kids.Helped us catch fish.Took great care of our gear...This was the BEST father / son trip I could ask for!

We recently hired DRA to take us down the river. We chose the PM time, which required we be there by 1:30. We arrived about 1:15 after driving from Portland and easily found the office. Everyone we encountered was friendly and thorough in explanations. We checked in quickly and were ready to go.Our guide, Taylor, was great about giving instructions and encouragement. We always felt safe, which was an important thing for us. The company provided tons of water on our raft, which was great since it was a very hot day. We had a great time and would (and will!) happily raft with DRA again.

Keith really killed us. He gave us the worst photos to look at - this man looked phenomenal in every photo while leaving the rest of my party looking like unidentified sea creatures. He was very demanding. If Keith said forward two, we went forward two. If Keith said all forward, we went all forward. If Keith had told us to jump off a cliff, we would have jumped so far. We put our trust in Keith. Beforehand, we were very nervous, but we came out of this experience with a love for rafting and only a single nose bleed.

My friends and I did the 3hr trip last Saturday and it was soo much fun!! Johnny was our guide, he was entertaining and knowledgeable. All of the staff were awesome, we will definitely be returning for an overnight trip some day.

We rented a ‘14 raft from Deschutes River Adventures and had them haul it down to harpham flat and then pick it up at sandy beach. They were very helpful and a pleasure to work with from reserving the raft to the day we arrived in Maupin to raft the river. Looking forward to the next rafting trip in Maupin!

Great folks and super fun trip! Our guide Millie was wonderful-she made it fun and adventuresome but I still felt safe/looked after. They also have wet suits which made all the difference in the world b/c of all days we were there it rained!

This place is awesome!!! I went there with a couple of friends for my birthday and we all loved it! There are mostly class 2 and 3 rapids, but there is also a really fun class 4, which is called Oaks Spring. The guides are nice, friendly, fun, and funny. My guide was Pat and he was amazing! It was a 3 hour long trip and for pat of it you could swim. The best part was in the Upper Elevator (A Class 2 rapid) you could swim it! We all swam, including our guide! I had a blast! Recommended!!!!!!!!!

I have been doing a maupin River run for at least 20 years. This year with Gwen was one of the best ones I’ve done; she was an amazing guide, very knowledgeable and she let us have the experience that we wanted to with lots of different options. Plus she was very funny and personable and just wonderful to have on our girls trip!

We rented two rafts for a three-day, two night adventure on the river. Put in near Maupin and ended at Heritage Point, with the owner of DRA waiting for us at the boat ramp. Great service, reasonably priced, and super nice people. This was an awesome adventure and we will definitely do it again!

Half day rafting experience was absolutely fantastic. Conner (maybe Connor- sorry if misspelled) was the perfect guide for our group. Fun, interactive, allowed us to enjoy the rapids a bit more where we could as well as prepping us for routes available.

This is the second year in a row we chose DRA for our family rafting trip. the prices are better than most, the guides are first rate, and the office help is so accommodating and pleasant. Top notch service. Can't say enough about the enthusiasm and knowledge of the guides. They get you excited from the first moment you meet them. Their interesting and stories, true or not, kept us entertained during the quiet moments of rafting and their professional instructions and guidance kept us safe and happy! We had Simon last year and Carson this year. Both so wonderful!!! The amount and size of rapids were perfect for our group, thrilling and scary! The lunch was great! Included a great hamburger with all the trimmings, potato salad, a great noodle salad, watermelon, cookies and drinks. Tasted better than other lunches I've had on trips like this; freshly made and delicious. Would recommend this trip to anyone. Our youngest member was 9 and had a fabulous time!!!

We did a 3 day, 2 night wild and scenic guided trip. It was exciting and memorable for everyone (ages 9 to 72). Maddie and Simon did an amazing job of tailoring the trip to our interests - found great spots to swim, cliff/rock jump, and float the rapids on sleeping pads. So much fun. Food was delicious. Well organized. Highly recommend Deschutes River Adventures.

I want that all over again!What a fun experience. We took the ‘please don’t hold back approach’ with our guide and Pat did an amazing job of that. We felt safe, well taken care of and had a day chock full adventure (both in and out of the raft!).Soooooo Coooooool!

We had a fantastic time with Maddie C. as our guide. Super friendly, and fun. Gave very clear instructions with a lot of fun facts about the river, landscape, and history of the area. Lot of great jokes too. Definitely didnt have a "dry" sense of humor. If I could give more than 5 stars, I would. Will definitely be returning next year. Thanks for a very memorable day!

First time for a few of our group and the experience exceeded our expectations. Keith was our guide and went above and beyond to provide us with an experience to remember. His knowledge of the area and his skill set as a guide helped us feel super safe as we brought 3 kids with us. He is great with kids, answered a million questions along the way. DRA is also super organized and efficient. The lunch spot and food was awesome. The guides communicated with the other groups along the way. They took us to some awesome swim spots too. We had a blast, thank you DRA!

Amazing price had hannah and her brother naish, amazing guides and had a really fun time, $150 for 3 people and a tip, from 4-5ish hours. 10/10 recommend if you have any amount of free time!

What an epic White-Water Rafting trip on the Deschutes River with an awesome guide (Jody), super fun rapids and beautiful views! We had a BLAST!!! The guide was extremely fun and knowledgeable about the river and it’s history and knew every square inch of it. He went over and above making our 9 year old daughter feel comfortable for her first time and ours💥 So worth it and so much fun! An unforgettable experience! All of us had such a good time.

We did the half day trip and had a blast. One of the best rafting trips we've had. I do wish we can keep paddling instead of floating, and go through the easy part quickly and get to the exciting part faster. LOL. The guides were very experienced and knowledgable. The rapids were fun and exciting, especially when we went through the class III and IV ones.

we had a group of 6 and did a 3ish hour run, it was a blast. I have done whitewater rafting mostly on the east coast - but the water, scenes, guide and over all company was great! - highly recommend if you are in the area! (Only thing i messed up on was not bringing my camera as it was awesome on the water and missed alot of great pics!
