Have stayed at this motel multiple times since they have been under new management. The rooms are very quiet and clean. I have noticed the property is very well maintained. Our stay was peaceful and relaxing. Lola and Aaron were very helpful and professional when checking in. Always my number one go to place to stay when visiting Maupin. The rates are great and very convenient for rafting or visiting downtown Maupin.

Love this place! Definitely the best place to stay in Maupin. Peaceful, comfortable, Great service! What more can you ask for?Nearby activities: One of the best rafting companies in Maupin is just across the parking lot!Noteworthy details: Big park for the kids. Playground on the property, ball fields down the block. Skate park down the block.

We stayed in a king suite and the room was larger than we thought it would be based on the outside. The employees are friendly. The bathroom is very tiny and you can't really sit on the toilet without closing the door. There isn't enough space. Also, I am 5'4" and the shower head was too low for me to shower. My 6'2" husband had a heck of a time with it. Clean place and very handy to get to a rafting place. You will need to drive to meals though.

Exactly as advertised. Clean quiet and comfortable but not fancy rooms in good condition. Very reasonable price. Would definitely stay here again and recommend this place too thers

I've stayed here a number of times over the last 3 years. Comfortable beds, gracious, down-to-earth owners, clean units, and very well cared-for. To me, it's ideal, and a very fair price, both in and out of season. It fits the bill exceptionally well. I know some people have issues that the office is often unmanned in the winter, or that this isn't a 5-star resort, but keep in mind, Maupin is a town of about 400 people, and the owners are simply a nice couple providing an excellent service that I'd be far less comfortable without.

The hotel needs a complete remodel. Floor was nasty, I wouldnt take off my shoes. Beds were so worn down you could feel the springs. The lock on the door and windows didn’t work, so I slept with one eye open . The AC was so incredibly loud, every time it kicked on it woke you up. Seriously considered sleeping in my car. We paid for 2 night, snd forfeited the second night . One of the worst places I’ve stayed !

Not sure about the above review, but I Guarantee this is not the case. I have been fishing the Deschutes river for over 18 years, and after roadside camping was banned. We have been staying either here or the Imperial.This is an amazing clean, friendly and family owned motel. They have always treated me and my family well with each and every stay! Thank you Deschutes motel for having very reasonable rates and providing a nice warm place to stay after a long day on the river fishing and rowing.

We spent five days at this motel in the lovely little town of Maupin, Oregon. Recently remodeled, the motel was immaculate, air conditioned (100 degree weather) and had all the amenities one would need for a comfortable stay. The owners made us feel very welcome and answered any questions we had. I would highly recommend this motel and will certainly book time there again.

The motel is older but was clean and comfortable. What gets the 5 stars is the customer service. I was in the middle of a motorcycle trip and sustained damage to one of my hard case saddlebags. When I mentioned it to Dave he went out of his way to help me figure out how to fix it. He provided materials that he thought might work, and then did some of the work himself. He was happy to help and didn't charge me a thing, even for the materials. It's the kind of service that wins loyal customers. Thanks Dave!

Accommodations were okay, but the customer service is very lacking! They are the only game in town so I guess they think customer service doesn't matter! I had a couple guys from my crew staying here while on a job near by. They found that they would not need a second night, they tried to check in with the office and had not luck it was closed and no one answered the phone. I finally got a reply to my email after sending a second email. The reply was not very nice, very rude. I would not recommend this establishment for the lack of customer service or being able to even reach them.

If you want to deal with public drunkenness, drug use and general low lifes, then this is the motel for you.I may have just showed up on the wrong weekend, but I think Deschutes Motel could have helped me out by trying to enforce their own rules. I had some very obnoxious neighbors that were very loud and drunk until late at night, way past quiet hours. I called the front desk at 9:15pm and asked to be moved because I didn't foresee them quieting down (which they didn't) but I never received a return phone call.I wondered if it was a good idea but I eventually asked them to quiet down myself. I was of course vindicated thinking that this might not have been a good idea because then one of the party starting yelling "Oh baby give it to me!" in a juvenile fashion just to annoy me. Then they turned up their stereo really loud (on their car I think). Finally someone yelled at them to shut up at about 12:30 but I'm not sure who this was. Then the same group got up at 5:30AM and started being really loud again!There were also folks smoking marijuana on the premises and I just don't really like being around the stuff.I was doing a bike race in town and wanted to compete well. Unfortunately I wasn't able to get a good night's sleep at the Deschutes Motel.

This was a great place to spend a couple of nights. We were attending a church campout in Tygh Valley and didn't want to spend the nights there. The Deschutes was a perfect place for us. The room was clean and quiet. We will be back next year!

Only motel in town. Office has limited hours, no one available to help or ask questions. Power outlet for coffee pot had no power. T.V. air conditioner and out door gas stove are great, except no lighting at night by stove.

Of the 260+ hotel stays I've experienced this one is by far the best. Extremely accommodating, friendliest owners I've ever met. Motel is clean and quiet. You really won't find a better place to stay!!!

Good clean and friendlyUPDATE:4/11/2021This place has been sold and is no longer a place I would consider staying after staying there the last decade while visiting friends who live near by.. It’s dirty and unkempt,the floor was sticky and felt I couldn’t touch anything before cleaning and sanitizing, very disappointed.

It is a great spot to stop before a float. The people working here are ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️. The accommodations are fine.
