It was nice and clean. And not overly crowded, either. Starbucks was fun having the apple turnover. It doesn't have all the shampoos and beauty items, but still a great place to shop!

The line is usually backed up. Have to go once a month and dislike it soo much. Called at 9am to make sure my prescription was g getting filled they said 1 to 1 1/2 hours it will be ready. At 230pm over five hours later I go there assuming there word mattered. Nope. The lady was rude says it's not processed yet come back in hour I explained what I was told at 9am. She said twenty five min u have to wait we been busy only one teck in. Bla bla bla

Clean store, well staffed, and well stocked. Prices are a bit on the high side... Recommend getting the Safeway app... Saves about 20% and you get fuel discounts.

Best ribs ever, exceptional employees the bakery is really starting to come along. Finally able to get birthday cakes again. Would recommend nighttime bakery employees for those later orders. The bathrooms look better then last year's . Have the best chicken bacon ranch wraps and delicious Korean beef. I also recommend paying attention when it comes to your Safeway deals . Ugh never seems to get them . I just happen to be one who needs that extra penny with a growing family. Anyhow overall great place great employees and worth the stop.

Most of the employees are very kind and helpful. There are a few employees that should possibly look for a different career if they don't like interacting with customers. 90% of Pharmacy staff OUTSTANDING, 10% NO COMMENT!

Bottle redemption sucks big time w/the looong wait in line to use the plastic machine and the looong wait for a worker to do whatever they do when the machine tells you assistant needed. Other than that the store is ok but could be better for checking out

Great store. Great employees. Most everything is good, but one MAJOR issue that needs resolved. . . PHARMACY!The wait time for this monopolized department is not right. The only pharmacy is raking in the business, with that, the profits. There should be appropriate changes to accommodate this increase of business without penalizing the elderly and sick people of our community.Just how can Safeway explain the massive increase in profits without an increase in service on this most vital community need?

This 1 star rating solely reflects the cashier. "Terry" has a awful personality. I understand we all deal with problems, but there's a deference between not smiling and blatantly being RUDE. I would've forgot about her, but when I got home I had a nice surprise, thanks to this ghoul... My eggs where stuck on their side and smashed, the bread was under heavy items and OBLITERATED. I only shop at Safeway, I'll be avoiding this hermits line for NOW ON!!!

This is a very nice Safeway I always enjoy stopping here when travelling to Bend. It is well maintained and clean and the staff is always friendly. There deli selections are very good as well. The bathroom could have used a little more maintenance but it was okay.

Pretty well stocked with things I need, except for the first week of the month. Get hit hard in the frozen section and the prepared foods aisles. Quick checkouts usually depending on the time of day around 6:30p.m. is the best time for me to go because they are not too busy.

great people and helpful. Pharmacy has long lines snaking down the toilet paper isle, and no where to wait if your script isn't ready for pick up. They need to find a better we to serve pharmacy customers. Otherwise great shopping and lots of savings

I like the just for U rewards, and that you scan item or tag w/item for the coupon/rewards in the Safeway app. I love that Madras Safeway stocks bluebird flour so I can get myself instead v asking my dad to pick me some up in Arizona. I wish they would start stocking "Chamoy" to go with the "Tajin" that they do stock. Once they do carry Chamoy it will he 5 stars instead v 4

The prices are high here but the variety and selection is excellent. From fresh sushi and bread to great produce and friendly employees. If you use the app the perks and discounts are nice, but not enough to make Safeway our main grocery store.

The immature kid at customer service had absolutely zero knowledge and even less motivation in answering any questions about the app. By far, the worst experience at safeway that I have ever had........and I easily spend 700+ dollars a month at my local safeway and have nothing but good things to say about their staff.Sadly, this has become a regular stop for me. This is only because of the lack of other choices. There often are no carts available, even in off times of business. The cashiers are slow and lack training. There is always an influx of employees seemingly wandering about aimlessly, doing little to nothing. That said, they seem to insist on having too few registers open. Consequently, there are long lines and even longer waits to check out. Many of their sale items don't ring up as such, and the clip and save rewards in the app often don't work either. There are often panhandlers hassling customers on the way in and out as well. Parking is sparce, poorly laid out, and laden with narrow travel lanes. There are a few friendly workers, but most are not.

They misrepresent their prices with complicated gimmics. Theyve settled lawsuits over the practice, but they continue wherever they can. I dont like to shop from merchants who play deceptive games with me.

This store is at the right place to be at on our trip. The store is fully stocked with food for travelers and campers, boaters, and party enthusiasts. The store is super clean and the bathrooms were spotless. The customer service gals were happy and friendly and were involved in finding what you needed. A very nice change from other stores we visited on our trip.

The store has always been well stocked when I stop here during travel. I would not list it on my top 10 cleanest stores I've ever been in. The parking lot is ALWAYS dirty, there are generally a fair number of transients milling about. Store staff is generally helpful.Primary reason I give the store 4 stars is due to 1 employee named Oreo. I left the $60 cash back sticking out of the self checkout and roughly an hour and half later I realized what I had done. I returned to the store certain that the money was ling gone and in someone's pocket.Instead when I asked the clerk in charge of self checkout (Oreo) she smiled and said "Your the guy!" "I tried to catch you but you were too far away to hear me. I put your money up front at customer service.I collected my $60, gave $20 of it to Oreo for her honesty and headed back out on the road.

Great selection food, beverages, house hold necessities, some school supplies. I can't speak on the bathrooms. Haven't used them in couple year's. IDK if the handicap button for inside the women's restroom was or is fixed. Last I've seen 2+ years ago it was broken.

I stop here a few times a year. The workers are always friendly. I really enjoy the hot deli food. It's always hot and fresh. I park my big truck on the side street.

Great place for everything as well as groceries. I got a really well made panini here the deli woman was commendable and great service. The pharmacist helped me pick out eye care products after a bad sunburn on Mt Hood. One stop shop friendly staff, 5 stars

I can't post a new review because I already had one on here, so I deleted that one (it was a good review, 4 stars) and I'll post a new one.It's July 3 and I had to face the madhouse busyness because I needed to pick up a prescription. So I figured the store would be super busy, and I was right. So the pharmacy was my first stop. I love that you changed the wait line so it's not standing in line down the baby aisle. The new cue even has chairs to rest on! Great idea. There were two pharmacy cashiers open so the line moved quickly. Even though they're swamped trying to absorb the Home Town Pharmacy customers, the staff was doing a really good job.Then I grabbed the groceries we needed and headed to checkout. It was busy, but they opened another register and that went quickly too, then I even got someone to help me out to my vehicle . I'm old and crippled up so that's a big deal for me when someone has time to help me with loading stuff into my car and taking the electric cart back. Every employee I encountered today was smiling and helpful. So, yay Safeway! Good job today.Thank you.🙂

Great place to top off you tank on the way to the valley. Plus great prices on their fuel lowest from madras to scappoose. And you have a whole grocery store to shop for snacks not a mini mart. The staff has always been helpful and friendly just a nice place to stop before head to the valley.
