Ace is an essential part of Madras and the staff have always been helpful finding everything for my home projects. On many occasions I've been over my head with a project and they were patient with me and helped me step by step as I came back and forth looking for the next part.

I came in while visiting my grandma in madras she was having some issues with her toilet and I was able to come in and explain to the ladies what was happening. They were able to point me in the direction of the supplies I needed they were unbelievably nice and knowledgeable and did not make me feel stupid like most people at big brand hardware stores. I even ended up buying some supplies that I needed for back at my house definitely my go-to hardware store whether I'm in town or not. I would drive a hundred miles to get help from the amazing workers that you guys have.

Excellent customer service!! I made a purchase through ACE Hardware which was supposed to arrive at this store. Unfortunately, only half of the order arrived and when I called ACE to cancel, they mentioned that my order was “stuck” and could not give me a refund. The manager from Phil’s took her time to call ACE herself and help me with this. In less than 24 hours, the order was canceled. Thank you so much for helping me with this!!!!

I’m not sure what’s up with ace hardware. But to ask a customer to leave her purse at the register isn’t ok. Nor to ask when your full of customers. You can tell the customer is was so embarrassed. Shame on you ace hardware.

I'm generally impressed with Phil's inventory of hardware, which requires an investment and, therefore, a bit higher price on some items than at a home improvement store. Nevertheless, I'm happy to shop at Phil's because I know he will have what I need at a decent price--and he's local. The staff is also helpful and pleasant. I shall return!

I’m honestly extremely disappointed in this location. Not only have I been told how you train your employees to profile residents of the reservation, but I’ve now experienced this profiling first hand. The women who run this store are amazing and deserve better than the company they stand for. The only man I’ve ever seen work there is extremely unfriendly and all around not a good fit for the company. This business stands by their slogan “helpful hardware folks” until you look different than everyone else. I would rather drive to Redmond or even Bend if it meant being treated like a customer, and not a thief. To the fabulous employees who work there, find a better job, this place does not deserve you. To the man who felt the need to be rude in a situation that did not concern him, I hope you stay with this business until it comes to an end. With the way things are running I can’t imagine you have long.

Kevin is not very helpful at all. I tried to call to get the flyer cancelled as it comes to a mailbox that we check very seldom and it fills the mailbox. He told me to cancel its a webite site you have to go to, so i asked for the website and he said it was to long. WOW great customer service.

Everyone was actively helpful. Had to stop in twice today. The first Lady that helped was awesome! Wish I would of caught her name.The second time I came in, the lady at the register was rude. Couldn’t even say “thank you or have a nice day”All I got was a “mmmhmmm” and finger pointing, which is a very strange way to handle customers? She didn’t want to be helpful at all and it seemed like a bother that I took a picture of the sku vs writing it down.. also strange. Not one to speak out but almost asked her what her problem was..Again, everyone else was great!

Very good variety of things. However Phil's Hardware suffers from small town syndrome as far as the prices being extremely high. If you really need it, buy it there. If you can wait, go to Terrebonne Hardware or Home Depot or Lowe's in Redmond. You will pay for your fuel by driving south to buy your hardware items.

I try to shop and support small businesses, I have always liked the service and knowledge of your staff in Madras, however, while standing in line waiting for check out I noticed that you have 4 rolls of mediocre toilet paper for $7.99Come on!!! I kinda want to not support a business that takes advantage like that👎

The old guy was great, no use for the rest. I can get all the rudeness I need at the big home store. I didn't mind spending a bit more to patronize a local business but with the rude unhelpful service, I can't think of a single reason to buy there.
