I went into Dollar general around 715pm last night after an employee told me as long as they are open they do Western Union. When I went to the register neither one is the knew how to do it and said I'd have to come back when the manager is there. No this isn't okay you provide a service you should train your employees in that service. I asked for corporates number and the lady Bobbi called her manger. They explained to her I was upset and they didn't know how to provide service that I was told was available. The gentleman Jeff was very kind and said he thought he could figure out or I just needed to download the app. Okay I can do that so I step aside to download the app and after I am ready need asked for my phone number as this is step two as the app is saying being photo id and the tracking number being displayed. Then the phone number. He tells me it's giving him an error message and I explain to him what my phone says he's to do. And he assures me that his manager will be in in 5 minutes to help if I can wait around that long. When the manager gets there she informed me the sender needs to now have the app. And they need to say they sent me the money. Which is not what anybody has said in the beginning or what the app says. I asked for her corporate number and that I would just leave. Manager comments that they could have just gave me the corporate number so she didn't have to leave her kids. I had asked her employees for the corporate number in multiple times. Her employee mouths off says she's only asked for the corporate number a couple times. If The manager trained her employees to be fully trained in the services they provide we wouldn't have this issue. It's sad that there aren't many options in this town and the few we have, we have to deal with very rude employees.

I was at this Dollar General when it was very slow. I was the only one in line and I had been sitting in line for 10 minutes. Meanwhile being THE ONLY ONE.there were at least four workers sitting in the back, talking and joking very loudly while I was sitting up front by myself, no one was coming to help me. finally, an older girl comes out finally helps me doesn’t even talk to me just rings my stuff up throws it in a bag says have a good day. if this is how they treat their customers and act very unprofessional. they god belong in a business that requires customer service. Oh did i mention being the only one in line for 10MINUTES

Was our first time in dollar general.. We were excited to find such great deals. But when we got to the register over 3/4 of our things We're marked with the wrong price or put in the wrong place (even though the items matched the tags they were on...) or the "summer items" ( bubbles and chalk) that were with all of the other 90% off summer items were not actually 90% off.. was not a fun experience and won't be coming back...

Hi,I do a lot of reviews on Google, wether good or bad , to clarify what I see. At DG today, I went to buy salonpas lidocaine patches. I found them, 6 boxes on the shelf space with a price of $2.30. Good deal! What I would expect here. At checkout, the price range up as $4.50. I notified the cashier of the error. The Supervisor went over and said "they were in the wrong spot, probably a customer moving them there on mistake "... Nope, your employees did this.lol. that's a lot of work for a customer to do without any reward. They didn't honor the mistake. That's not how successful businesses operate. Little things like this , blaming customers for an employee mistake... It's just bad business. I hope they can do better in the future. Have a nice day.

They need to pull the outdated items off the shelves I went in there to buy pretzel bites and they are so outdated one was from 2023 and I just bought one today got to work and looked at the bag and it is from November of 2022

I live in Madras . I’ve noticed the manger named chase . Likes to profile. Anyone that is around or hangs out with anyone that not white. I’ve been followed out to my car 2 by him. He will follow you all over the store. Almost like creepy looking. I have never been caught taken from that store. Nor has anyone else I’ve come in the store with. I’m not sure what his problem is. Make sure when you stop in at this store. You look very white. No one with you. Of you might be profiled and followed as I get .

Peter, Candace, Chance, Francis, and Cindy are the best. Great service but corporate needs to update their payment processor machines because they're always broke and corporate send them old or used machines.

The manager or gm whatever she is, is probably one of the rudest people around. Many occasions of her looking at customers with disgust on her face. They will also treat you differently if you are not dressed to impress. I will gladly spend the extra $$ in fuel to go to the dollar general in culver.

I was just in Dollar General at closing time and watched the most frustrating but amazing encounter. An older woman that was paying for nearly $40 worth of groceries with change (which he handled very well also) became very frustrated and angry because she did not have enough. I walked toward the front to see if I could help her when the cashier came from around the counter and paid for her entire purchase out of his own pocket!!! He could have went a complete different route with the situation, but instead he chose to help this lady who was extremely rude to him! We need more people like Peter in this world! Not only did you make the lady’s night, you made ours as well. Thank you!

Most horrible customer service Candice they lady at the register was so rude I ended up walking out without paying for my items. She refused to give me her managers name told me to come back when he was working said she didn't know there schedule. I just moved to madras. And and I will say by far the worst customer service in town.

I used to work for this particular store it's a really bad store the manager there doesn't even know what she's doing currently at the time I was working there a lot of the employees were allowed to just kind of lollygag and do whatever they want I would wake up at 3:00 in the morning to get there to my 6:00 shift and be locked out of the store for about a good 45 minutes to an hour at a time the pay wasn't where it should have been and definitely the hours weren't there when you're only working 4 hours a day and trying to make ends meet this particular store has a really bad reputation with fever also which there's a no chase policy and people come in and just take whatever they want sometimes it's a really bad store the management should be replaced with someone who knows what they're doing cuz they did not know what they were doing at the time and I would personally never shop there again or tell my friends to shop there

The store located in Culver is amazing. And the girls that work there are friendly and know there store. I hate going into stores where workers just give you the run around cause they don't know. The store In Culver makes you feel like family.

Great place . great worker's and lots to eye peeling stuff that will catch your eyes . i needed a belt an they had one for me i was like YES!!!!! no need to walk around . like a professional sumo wrestler . geez id get beat .im just a small guy 😆 great place .
