Great place to fill up for the day with food that will stick with you through your days activities. We took a family of 7 here for breakfast and every day the food was delicious and served quick. Down home feel with regulars coming in that all know each other by name. Large portions cooked to perfection. My kids asked if we could eat here every day we were here and we were happy to say yes.Kid-friendliness: The owner took our order the first day and was very good with the kids knowing exactly what kinds of things kids ask or want. It was an great experience.

Fun, local diner.Plus side: waitress was friendly and welcoming. Food was lovely - I rarely have an over easy egg cooked perfectly. Thank you, chef.New to me side: Hard working timber town. This is a local diner where everyone knows each others business and they chat about it. I'm not a local and felt a bit out of place. Especially with my "stay trippy, little hippy" sticker.Con: Open carry, guns/rights predominantly portrayed by signs & decor. Regardless, the con did not outweigh the 5-star, local, cultural experience. :)

Since this place is local to me I thought it about time I comment. This is one of the most homey places you will ever find and the food is very good. At least one of my family eats here 5 mornings a week and they are very accommodating and friendly to the "ol boys" breakfast club. If you leave hungry, take it from me, you eat to much! It's still as good as it ever was.

This is a Cafe you definitely want to visit. It's a place you can go where people will remember you. If you're a local they will eventually get to know you on a first-name basis. The food is fairly decent. They have great service and is a great place to go before you begin your adventure for the day. It's located in a town that needs Growth there is so many activities to do here. Fishing, Hiking, Camping, Bird Watching, rafting, Golfing not to far either. Even some Historic sites nearby. If you are looking to retire or you want to start a whole new life with your family they will welcome you with open arms. Plenty of land for sale as well. After the Santiam Canyon fire a couple of years ago this is a great place to go before you build or rebuild. If you have car problems there is a Tow Truck driver right down the Hill from the Cafe who will guide you or will follow you very closely to make sure you get home safely if your vehicle is still capable of driving.If they start to talk about Crime here. Pay No Attention that would be just a couple of the locals trying to keep this hidden Gem to themselves.

Had the pancakes here! They were perfect! Not too dry! Dan did a wonderful job cooking all of our breakfasts. My friend is a chef and he actually liked the scrambled eggs. The eggs were exactly as requested. Yellow and fluffy. Not over cooked!!! (Which seems to be the norm most places anymore.) The server was friendly and obviously a hard worker. We will so be back here soon! Tomorrow!

When I opened the door to the restaurant I got yelled at by the owner because I had not put on a mask yet yet. The food was OK at best. They couldn't get the eggs that were ordered at our table correct is correct and everything just seemed to be slop on the plate. Wouldn't recommend this place especially for the ownership ever.

Smaller place so there was a little wait but it was well worth it. We are visiting but I’m pretty sure it’s the best food around her complemented by fair pricing. Carol was are Waitress and she was amazing! We will be going back for sure!

The food here is prepared mostly from scratch. The owner and cook makes the best Country Fried Steak I have ever had. By far the best in the Santiam Canyon. Hand breaded daily with meat he hand selects from Safeway. Fast friendly service. Just a family friendly restaurant like non other. I highly recommend giving it a try. You won't be disapointed.

Carol & Dan, the owners, SUPER AWESOME from the first moment we walked in this amazing place!! Brianna, our server, just as sweet as can be.I absolutely HANDS DOWN will say they have the BEST pancakes over ANYWHERE ELSE!!! And the biscuits & gravy....O.M.G.!!!!If I could give this place 10 stars - THAT IS WHAT THEY DESERVE!!Our new "FAV" place to eat! ❤

first time going there was 6 months ago for breakfast.. The food was great, the service excellent and the portions, well let just say I had plenty to take home.. Went there a month later and had lunch. All I can say is this is now my favorite place.. Love it..

My favorite local place. The looks outside may be a bit meh, but the inside is amazing. Service is great; the server is usually extremely friendly, though gives privacy as well.I've eaten there often and never had a single thing I didn't like. The food is to die for.The only complaint I have is the hours. I'd eat a late lunch there so often if it was only open a bit later.

Really excellent service...is a tiny mom and pop diner-style place run by a family and it shows in the food, atmosphere and service. All are great and leave you feeling like they truly wanted you to feel humbly served and satisfied. If you go here and don't like it, your probably a snob or a pain...just sayin.

Always great food and friendly service. Dan is humble unassuming and a great cook! Servers make us feel like they are glad to take care of us and have our business. You don't see that as much these days.
