you know for yrs wed go to st vinnies to get afffffordable used clothing. today i donated hundreds of dollars in fishing rods and a tote full of gear. the lady gave me a 50 percent off purchase of 1 product. i found a pr of jeans, and a case of pint jars. apon getn to front counter the lady informed me that it was good for 1 item. i figured ok. than id use it for the jeans. i asked how much for the jars, no lids or rings. she wanted 12 bucks for the used jars. now why would i pay u 12 for them, when i can go across the street at bi mart n pay 14.bucks for new jars, with new lids, in a new box. i coulda got irrate, but a mother with a 5 yr old was next in line. i left my items n was leaving n the lady says, u want ur 50 percent off slip. i repplied, why, im never coming back here again. this has been going on for many yrs. how is it a non profit has to charge new prices. a pr of worn out shoes. 25.00. were not rich people out here, perhaps u should move your location to were people dont mind paying new item prices, for other peoples junk

The volunteers are working hard and are amazing people but ...Very over priced... Brand new items can be found at Walmart $3.00 cheaper 30 minutes down the road in working condition. And or returnable . If any one is really down and out try the food bank and community kitchen no need to pay $100 for five days worth of clothing that's used, stained and in need of repair . Not sure if she's trying to to retire early or just make rent ... But yikes 😬 the broken spider man back pack for $5.00 was crazy ! I can't fix zippers at least fix it if your going to ask full price ross had one for $3.00. brand new ... Sorry to rant but this is crazy 😧

This thrift store is amazing! with the purchases we make here people in our community are getting food, clothes, propane vouchers, health care, and so much support because the revenue from the thrift store directly supports the social services of SVDP La Pine. Good Work!

Well organized. Outrageous prices for things, they are really ripping the people of La Pine off. I saw a piece of wall art for $700. You know you're a thrift store right? This stuff was donated to you for free and you turn around and charge retail prices. This stuff is used and therefore should be cheaper than retail. So disappointed, walked out with nothing. I frequently go to the St Vinnie's in Salem and their prices are reasonable, a little overpriced but not like this.

They're not as good of a bargain I once remember from 30 something years ago. BUT PLEASE READ ON. You would be shocked if you knew how much time, effort and actual cost it takes. helping others Including volunteering. It's almost not worth the effort anymore. It actually costs. Permits, insurance. Utilities to name just a few. Even a non profit/church has to have insurance and permits. Therefore your purchase goes towards these costs. So absolutely if you want to help but can't afford to donate cash. Which is understandable nowadays. But, need a few items. Try places like this. It's a win win for everyone. But one thing for sure. They need to just get rid of their so-called electronics. Really. They are absolutely too old to be useful to anyone anymore.

In general I like going into this store, and the people working there have been helpful and responsive. However, yesterday the cashier and a customer were holding a very biased political discussion full volume. I believe this was inappropriate, in any business setting. Employees and volunteers should be able to say to customers that this is not the time or place for such discussions, end of conversation.I have gone twice this week to drop donations. Earlier in the week the attendant said they were not taking clothing that day, come back on Saturday. I called ahead, the recording said they were open. I came back on Saturday during the correct hours, "Not taking donations". I guess Goodwill is the answer.

The staff at this store is always friendly and helpful. They have good prices on everything and specials on the blackboard when you walk in. I would say there is something for everyone and the price will be worth it. During the holiday season they bring out all kindsof fun stuff with low prices. Love this store!

I've been going to the store for 1 1/2 years, staff is always friendly and helpful. They have a lot of good quality items and the visual shopping helps me find things I didn't know I needed. Love it. Can't wait until the back is opened up.

Do you enjoy thrift stores? St. Vincent de Paul Thrift Store in LaPine, OR, is a great one. All the people who work there are friendly & kind. The store has a large parking lot, so getting in and out is not a problem. This store has a brand new large building which houses furniture for sales, as well as large pictures, outdoor tools, & miscellaneous household items. When you shop inside the main part of the store you will find every possible thing you might want, at fantastically low prices. All items for sale have been donated by generous community members. Which brings up the issue of donations. This charity store exists totally on donations . So when you are cleaning up around the house 🏡, please remember to donate reusable items to The St. Vincent de Paul Thrift Store in LaPine, OR. (Written by Marion Maddelein)❤️🌺❤️

Wonderful place to visit as often as you can. New items every day. Always find something I can use. Very good prices and it is a worthy cause. Just have to visit and you are addicted. Enjoy. A garage sale in one place every day.

They won't take a majority of things, even know they are upgrading their storage this year it might just fill up quickly and they'll have to expand more. Not to bad if you are looking for an exact item. But still the restrictions of the items that come in are a bit overwhelming.

Unhappy the price for used puzzles went up to $4.00. Deal breaker. New puzzles $5.99 at Outpost.

I like to look around, just snooping. Iam always amazed and proud that people are sending there used but good quality items to St Vincent's for it's second life. We have enough in the landfills. Plus the proceeds go to so many community organizations.

I stop here every time I am in LaPine, OR. The prices are better than they are in the valley. They usually have a good selection of blankets that I use for my animals.
