Their selection is better than Bimart most of the time. They are the only hardware and lumber store in the area tho.I've always had great customer service and knowledge from associates.Love that you can check online and pickup at store.

Best and most Well stocked hardware store in the area. The workers are actually knowledgeable which is rare to see in a hardware store. They have a paint section, key cutting section and a knife and scissor sharpening machine too. They have a full selection of lumber and landscaping supplies too. Lots of parking too.

Fair selection, BUT you definitely pay for convenience. Prices are higher than Home Depot or even other Ace Hardware stores that are local.

Very unhelpful. I tried to return a toilet bolt set (un opened) that I purchased from this store on December 30. Three days ago. The customer “service “ woman insisted that none had been sold since November, which is obviously untrue. She asked my name, but not my phone number associated with Ace rewards. I’m not sure why she needed my name, since she’s obviously not able to find the transaction. It must be hard to accurately track inventory in this store since they have no clue. If I still had the receipt she would accept the return, but even with it she’d probably insist it wasn’t sold there. Very strange. Try Bi Mart first. The inept “gentleman “ in the propane department was also rude and never heard of the part we needed. See photo. BUY ONLINE!I did try this place a couple more times. Harvey ( I think that's his name) does not listen but prefers to insist he knows what you want. And why is there a limit of two on the little green propane bottles? There is no such rule across the street. I usually love Ace, but this one is annoying!

Wish I could give it more but I have had a couple incidents in here recently. The issues have only been at the back counter so maybe the rudeness is from a couple of female managers or something, but they sometimes don't pay attention to see if someone is standing there waiting. They also should not be making comments about customers while the customer is within earshot. It wasn't a personally degrading comment but it was unprofessional and slight negative dig on me when it wasn't my issue; it was the design of their counter and stuff blocking their view. The employees that help customers and at the front checkout are very helpful. It took me three trips there to get someone in the paint department that didn't have an attitude and was finally able to help me.

Always the best choice. Veterans are appreciated daily, unlike other ace locations in the area. As a contractor they are always my choice over driving to Bend. Need something you think they won't have it or can't find? Don't kid yourself, go in and meet Kim.

We are local contractors/rehabbers and we have spent tens of thousands of dollars here. The on floor staff is excellent; very knowledgeable, friendly, helpful; everything you'd expect from ACE hardware. The problem, and its a big one, is with the management/policy/ownership. Despite the incredible amount of money we spend with them rehabbing houses, their return policy does not match up with ACE corporate; so even though right on the ACE packaging it says your return policy, their store policy "overrides" the policy. As an example, I bought a heavy duty extension cored and it did not work, right away. I brought it back to return/exchange it and was told "well you plugged it in". Well how am I going to test it without plugging it in? Should be swapped out no questions asked with a smile. I didn't buy it from ebay! Another situation is we purchased a tool, did not open it, did not need it, and they would not take it back. Now we go out of our way to purchase anything significant from Camp Abbot, Miller, or a number of other local suppliers who deliver, and have easy customer service. You will find numerous comments below in other reviews about the great floor staff, and rude, unprofessional, necessarily rigid back counter "management" and policy.

We have spent thousands of dollars at this store. Today I went in with $40 worth of coupons that had expired 20 days ago and was told they would take expired coupons that were 5 days old but not 20 days old… If you’re going to make an exception for 5 day old coupons what difference is 20? We have been to multiple other ACE locations that honor the coupons regardless of expiration date so I know it’s possible, they just choose not to. Very frustrating

Just took my chainsaw in for sharpening and to check overall health. Asked that if anything else needed to be done, to call me first. No one called and when I picked up, there was extra charge for tune up. Took it home and tried to use next day and saw died everytime I made a cut. Took it back down to Ace, and told them what was going on. The guy was VERY RUDE, and told me that you get what you pay for. It is in worse shape than when it went in. Needless to say, I will never use their servicesagain, I suggest you use another business for your small engine needs! Nothing has changed, except their prices, much higher! Better off to do business in Bend, where I am constantly driving to!

They've got just about everything. I did purchase an item that had a sales tag of $30 off. However, they did not honor it because the tag had expired 7 days before. Shouldn't that be their responsibility? Very disappointed, as that was the only reason I made the purchase at the time.

Super helpful staff who often check if you need assistance. Such a nice change from the fleeing apron-clad gazelles at other stores who are mostly ignorant and lost themselves so are seldom worth catching anyway. The folks at Ace know where to find stuff and they know how to do stuff. I appreciate their helpfulness and knowledge, which shows respect for my time and money. Thanks Ace I've become a repeat customer because of your great people.

Last year I bought the stores last Ariens 30 inch deluxe snow blower. Using it twice, the otter quit working., two plastic levers broke off and showed underneath they had been glued on. I called Ariens to make sure I could warranty the blower but was given no warranty card to register at time of purchase. I complained to store owner I believed I had been sold a returned blower or one the store had used. As it turns out when they wouldn't let me return it, Adriens warehouse talk me through disassembly to trouble shoot otter. Turns out both belts were worn and Adriens sent me new levers and belts at no charge. Last week I discovered my gear oil had leaked out over the summer. Reviewing Youtube, gear oil usually lasts five years. Clearly I believe I was sold a used machine and Ace should have rectified my concerns last year, but they didn't. It is unfortunate Terry my salesman retired just then as he would have made things right. I still shop there when I have to as most of the staff are very hekpful. I am glad to see they improved by opening a saw shop in an adjacent building that deals with only power machines.

Amazingly stocked for the little town of LaPine. Lumber yard a HUGE bonus. Friendly and knowledgable staff. What else can you say, other than it's the only game in town, and they don't take advantage of that fact and screw the customer. Priced competitively and always appreciated!

They are kinda spendy and some of the employees are a little, idk, condescending. I get that they are there to help but a couple of them acted like because I'm a woman, idk what I'm doing. But then other employees are helpful without bias. For the most part it's a good place to shop.
