Wanted to believe when the chain took over the store that they would honor their promise to the community. Their business was small and local once too. But their prices have gone unreasonably up, and their quality has gone ridiculously down. And there just isn't any selection. It was a nice place once, now it's just a shame.

Unfortunately the prices for pre-made food and the markup is just ridiculous. Supporting local is reciprocal and it means not taking advantage of local customer base with 100 200 and 300% markups. I will drive further and pay more to feel valued as a customer, the produce is far from fresh daily despite their sign out front and the deli is jacked up prices for microwaved pre-made food. My understanding is new ownership has taken it way downhill, what a shame.

I lived in the Park Dr/5th area for over a decade and in the Day Rd/Dawn and Day Rd/Cedar neighborhoods for about 15-ish years and when Terry built the Corner Store it was a long awaited and needed thing in the neighborhood. It helped so many of us out! Bringing amazing produce and great prices on things! It was so much closer than going "into town" or having to go all the way to Bend. It helped so many busy families with a hot and ready meal and the service was always pretty damn good. After it was sold to Ed Staab and Son's I got a job there and it's been a couple years now since I left. I admit that yes, prices did seem to go up but their loyalty program balanced all that out for me. Not that that would for everyone, just saying... However they did take pretty much all the "from scratch" and "homemade" out of everything yet they left just enough selections to make it appear that there was a lot of variety when in truth not so much. Anyhow just seems of lately that the friendliness and service has been shot to hell as well as major price hikes and their produce is just like every where else's now when it used to seem soooooo much better. Disappointing to say the least......

We've been going here for a long time and it doesn't have the "hometown feel" like it used to when Terry owned it. It's still convenient and most the employees are super friendly. They do a pretty good job keeping the shelves stocked as well.

Does anyone here appreciate variety? Let me tell you something about this cute little corner store that offers a different food item Monday through Sunday. Whether it’s scallop potatoes with ham and cheese or macaroni and cheese and even a taco Tuesday, you will be impressed with the delightful offerings 7 days a week! For someone who is on the road a lot, this is greatly appreciated! Piping hot food at a reasonable price, I’m in!! Thanks fast break and to the son that works there with the mom that makes most of these scrumptious food items, super grateful to you most of all!

They got everything ya need just around the corner. This little store is our favorite and is a daily go-to. Staff is also super friendly and has that hometown feel just like it should.

Have been in the store for the deli 4 or 5 times in the last few months. Have walked out without being served 3 of those times. Deli service is terrible, slow. Today was waiting and waiting while the one server chatted with two guys at the drive thru without acknowledging me. One other server came into the deli and walked right by me without acknowledgement and started counting change out of her coin purse. No one indicated they would wait on me. Finally after several minutes I just walked out. Same level of service about every time I am in there, and from the other reviews it looks like I am not the only one they ignore..

Used to be an an amazing mini store location ran efficiently and would always go here because the location much closer to where I love atm. Since the local owners sold this store and it's been under new ownership, I WILL NOT SHOP HERE anymore. Idk where to begin with the issues that are new that were never here before. Being a chef and someone who has been in costumer service for 11 years this store is horrible. EVERYTHING HAS CHANGED including good service. If your in a hurry and from out of town most likely will walk into store with one checker. And deli people in back always busy. Never a fast store that is for sure. Super overpriced. Deals and price changes since new ownership. If I can help it I don't like bringing my business here anymore and go down road since new owners. Sooo slow

I am a local man and have been a customer of the corner store since it's opening. I however have experienced poor service for the last time. Just spent 17 minutes in drive through waiting for service, all the while I guess a family reunion was going inside the deli , hugging and talking everyone inside got what they came for however wait in drive through was to long for me and 3 other cars that left before me in central Oregon word of mouth travels fast what people are saying isn't good me and many others are taking our money elsewhere.

I have loved this store way back from when it was still a "family" owned store. I would fly from Virginia to here and visit my parents. Every year I came back, they would remember me...... Now that I have moved to La Pine and made it my home base, I work at this store. I love the people, the employees and the great service that I and my coworkers can provide for the public. It's a great store.... if you find you have a problem with your visit, all you have to do is say so, they will take the time to listen.

Deli staff and food awful. 3 clerks all running around like they have no idea what to do. Waited 10+ minutes for a cheeseburger that was pre-made and when I finally get it, it doesn’t taste like meat at all. It smells and tastes like soy. Waste of my time and money. I could have gotten better at McDonald’s.

Former employee (shift mgr. 6-7 years ago) returning for more. Absolutely love this store, Terry, the chaotic summers, the loyal locals, the incomparable crew... FISHIN' STUFF, pizza, all kindsa coffee, the drive-thru. Clean, well-stocked, fresh produce, delightful faces, outstanding customer service. What's not to love?! 😊

Way over priced. Absolutely the slowest, unmotivated staff you will see anywhere. Unfriendly customer service! Check out the deli... The serving spoon and tongs sits in dish of dirty water! Absolutely disgusting! Can anybody say cross contamination!

I work there, ......But....This is a go to store, we are small but offer a large variety! Grocerirs, great produce, deli food, lottery, cold beer and other beverages, fishing/hunting licenses, ATV and wood permits, forest passes, pizzas made daily, seasonal fishing supplies, etc, etc.
