Wow! This place is nice! Best sandwiches, burgers etc in town from the Bistro area, sit down eating area, rooftop terrace, upstairs comfortable balcony style seating, guest WiFi, and more!Groceries are fresh and perfect with a decent selection. I am definitely leaving things out. Wouldn't think you would find a place like this in a smaller Eastern Oregon town.Service is great and the people are super nice. I will be coming here a lot!

I've been to the store several times and each time the experience has been very good. They offer a "chop shop" which will cut your fruits and veggies to you specifications free of charge, there is a deli in this store that makes fresh 'one of a kind' burgers, sandwiches, wraps, and breakfast burritos. They also serve ciders and beers on tap, delicious meats cheeses are also available. Staff is helpful and friendly, and lets you know they appreciate your business.Meal kits are sometjing new to this store. I just bought the fajitas meal kit ( its very similar to Blue Apron), a great deal! Says it feeds a family of 4, but feeds more like a family of 5! Delicious, fresh, and such a time-saver!

Absolutely love going to the Market place! The fries are to die for and can’t go wrong with a cheeseburger from here either! Personally, I love the ciders they have on tap so that’s a plus! A big upside to this place is the rooftop. You can eat outside up on the roof with others and typically not too many people are up there so it’s a nice breeze to cool you down on a hot day and to just relax and eat your delicious food!

Not the best. The sandwich was pre-made. Tomatoes were days old and gross. Lettuce was wilted and black. Sandwich was not worth the money. Parm fries tasted like fish. Great cider though!

Everyone there felt very judgemental and made me feel like I was doing something wrong or that I didn't belong there. Weird vibes. +1 star cause the clam chowder was good

Good assortment of groceries and the addition of the chop shop is very convenient and unique! The bistro is one of my favorite places to grab a bite to eat with tasty burgers and sandwiches to choose from. Grabbing a drink and watching live music on the roof is one of my favorite experiences here. The breakfast burritos are also worth going a little earlier before they run out for the day.

Darling market. Staff is friendly and helpful. Carry healthy food in moderate amounts. Perfect quick stop for eggs, bagged salad, deli needs and Cheerios. Good sized wine selection compared to the overall size of the space.

They never have what I need. Even the most basic of items you would expect every grocery store to have. I end up having to go to Safeway or Walmart anyways, so why even bother stopping here first if I’m just gonna have to make an extra trip? Also, despite the name, it’s not very fresh.

My boyfriend and I entered this establishment on May 16 2023 to enjoy mimosas on the roof as advertised by a sign on the side walk. We were met by an employee that promptly served us. After being served our mimosas he asked for my identification at which point he noticed that my ID was vertical as I had just turned 21 in October of last year. He communicated that he thought it was suspicious that my ID was vertical so I then produced my military Army ID. At which point he told me he wouldn't be able to serve me. Very disappointing to patronize an establishment with an Oregon state liquor license where the employees are not able to identify state or federally issued IDs. I found every employee I interacted with to be rude and unprofessional and I will not be returning.

Cool place! The atmosphere in the store is great, but WOW! The different eating levels and nooks to hang out in are awesome! LOVED the food we had, and the staff are amazing! Please stop by for some great fresh foods and local specialty interet items with your family or group and give them a try!!

Delicious fresh food and amazingly friendly staff! I got the burger with beer cheese and garlic parm fries from the bistro. Cool seating are.Definitely taking my husband here! The grocery store part is always great. Love the fresh orange juice. Go here for lunch!

The bistro is great. My little loves the grilled cheese and I have had the meatloaf, vegetarian lasagna and the chicken enchilada and all are delicious. Great price for the quality.

What a great shop. It has a beautiful display of products. Local items. Grab and go items and terrific dining areas on different levels. Perfect spot to grab something to eat and catch up with your friends.

Seem like a half empty's trader Joe's. They're in the middle of reorganizing and remodeling so they're a little short of supplies but they had everything I needed and what they had was good quality. People in there were pretty friendly as well.

Great food selection, wonderful Hatch chili ranch dressing, amazing meatloaf, lasagna and panini! Too much to list here. Broccoli/Cheddar cheese soup is reportedly divine. Delicious burgers! Well staffed today, service was speedy!

I'm biased, but it's a great small, homey store with awesome people. Great vibe and feel.Oh, and the Bistro serves some really decent food and isn't very well known in the area. I've had some really great stuff there.

This is a great store. It has loads of options and fresh foods. Their juices are pressed daily and the lemon Greek yogurt - made fresh there - is mot to be missed. Texture of butter and a sweet and rich flavor you just don’t get from processed packaged food. Glad we found it on our trip.

Totally bizarre store. A lot of empty shelves, but some of the items they do have are really good, like high quality meat and cheese. You really have to pick through the produce, but, for ebt users, they double your money on produce purchases, which is cool.

Incredibly rude servers today. My friend was trying to decide on what flavor of Mimosa. Server said, "well I can't read your mind". They completely messed up my order and a different server said to me, " I hate when customers order the wrong thing". I asked her if she really just said that and then the poor thing burst into tears. Another server brought our food along with a cinnamon roll and that was lovely. Mimosas were week. 2 out of 3 servers were unfortunate. We tipped any way. Not a good first impression. Not in any hurry to go back.

Very nice store. Has all the bells and whistles. Super over priced though so if that's a deciding factor for you show up ready to pay more than you would elsewhere for the same stuff you always buy like for example white claw is like 23.99 a 12 pack. When it's 16.99 everywhere else. It's pretty though and they have really good food and beer made there.

Updated Review: I'm uprading my original review because the business has changed hands and they have consistently delivered on the takeout since then. Great little spot to sit up on the roof too, enjoy a drink and listen to live music.Original Review:Not impressed. The main reason for the negative review is the bistro. We ordered the "bistro burger" that used to be good and is supposed to come with a bunch of delicious toppings (bacon, avocado, etc). But when we opened our to go order the other day (we were charged full price) our burgers had overdone cheese and none of the usual toppings (that we paid for). So we basically got a Wendy's burger for $8 a pop. The grill is really going downhill fast! On top of that the grocery store is a bit overpriced and doesn't a have very good selection.

We love stopping at this store on our way through La Grande. It’s a gem on this route! Great ready made / grab-n-go food. Their breakfast burritos and sandwiches are so delicious! They have some great groceries as well. We can always count on picking up something we forgot that we need from this place, and if I lived in La Grande I would get all my groceries from there.

This was my favorite little store, but as of late, the inventory is very low and the vegetables are not real fresh! I would go and buy all my produce and have them cut it up for me, but the last few times I have gotten veggies there they have spoiled within 2 days. I really do hope they can get this together, it is such a convenient location for this side of town!

The last few times I've been there, they were closed. Then they were permanently closed.This was one of the City's urban renewal type projects. That bank of buildings was actually doing quite well.For the life of me I can't understand why they got rid of successful businesses and installed a grocery store!A grocery store where one is not needed. I knew it, you knew it, why didn't they get it?Anyway, say bye bye to more of your hard earned money! This is a tax and spend government, from a tiny town all the way to state level. All I can say is "Get involved! Make a difference!"

I go here pretty much every day since I work in the Marketplace building at Brent Clapp Productions. Great food for breakfast, lunch, and dinner, especially their paninis which are pretty killer. Great staff too, very kind and friendly people that make me glad to work where I work and live in the community I live in. I love my Marketplace family!

Went to get brats to grill and all 4 packs looked brown and when I grabbed them I found mold in two of the packages . If they want to be a market place where you want to go they really need to put in some pride in their store . I will try again but only because the workers there are very helpful and nice

Excellent Customer Service. They go above and beyond to make your experience on 'The Rooftop' memorable. Food can be brought right up to you, along with drinks on tap, and snacks from the Grocery Store!
