Don't waste your time even calling this place!! The woman I spoke with is unbelievably rude!!! She tells you how much money they have to spend and how vets in the area don't care about animals they are just out to make money. I originally thought of donating some money after I picked up a voucher but I wouldn't give this place a penny!!!! She said to come in and get a voucher before my appointment now two days before the appointment she says I have to come in and get "evaluated" and then make an appointment and.... blah blah blah. Why offer vouchers if you don't want to give them out??? The Klamath Animal Shelter on 6th St. offers them for $20 and they are very nice not rude as heck making you feel bad for getting one.

This was an amazing experience. I had two kitties that I needed to get fixed. Kathy was very helpful and clearly explained what was going to happen on spay day. I would recommend her just as she took care of my babies very well!Thank you so much!

Kathy is an angel on this earth sent to help cats in Klamath Falls! She has given her whole life to this cause and will help every single cat she can, adding up to >1000 cats spayed and neutered each year. If you have had a negative experience with her, please read all of the information on the FOP website before you call. YES, she is the only person working at FOP and this is because hiring an employee would take money away from needy cats. Please read all of the information on FOP's website before calling. This makes it easier for everyone.

Friends of Pets helped us get our momma cat and her litter of 4 kittens spayed/neutered/dewormed and vaccinated via certificate through a local vet. Please know that this facility is not government funded & is run off donations & the hard work of the people volunteering their time andresources to help the cat overpopulation in KFalls.

Kathy has a huuuge heart for the countless cats in her care. She works her butt off ensuring the place is up to Parr and the cats in the best possible health. This is a humongous task people! Understand that if she is curt or abrupt in conversation, it isn't because she is rude, it's because she can better use the time for better purpose. If she was sweet and polite to every person or inquiry, the cats would be neglected.She is darn great with the animals, so personally I could care less if she's not chatty Cathy.For those with children screaming 'discrimination': majority of the cats at FOP are rescues and have shaky, horrible pasts and aren't ideal for homes with small children.I brought a rescue kitten there and it was obvious she's down for these cats.

I've worked with the public for many years. I understand the skills required to work with the public. The woman, Kathy is her name I guess, who runs this outfit, unfortunately has zero people skills...and I mean zero. This is really too bad since it is apparent that her intent is to help animals. For all I know she may be very good on that front. But if her ego is such that she can't lower herself to positively communicate with people who come through the door, then there will be that many fewer animals that she can help out. That's too bad.

You people who are giving one star and complaining because Kathy was not nice to you on the phone don't spend all day cleaning up a very large cat area, check the cats for problems or behavior issues, learning everything you can about each cat, scooping litter boxes, feeding, watering, mopping. This is not Starbucks. She is in the business of caring for cats, not trying to make you smile. She gets stupid questions on the phone when the information is on the website. She can't make special arrangements for you to stay open, she already devotes all her time to the cats. She had to start asking for money for people who wanted to visit with the cats. If you adopt one, that money is taken off the price. You get a spayed or neutered cat that has had shots and has been checked by a vet. She knows the personalities of the cats and can recommend one for you. She does not have time to waste. Stop being so self-centered.The folks there are very knowledgeable about the cats in their care. All the animals are spayed or neutered before they leave. Their prices are good. One thing that most impresses me is the spay / neuter Clinic every month where they fix about 50 feral cats every month. If a person wants to bring their house cat to be fixed, there is only a small charge of about $20. This is far less than any veterinary Clinic in our town. All the cats are free roaming unless they've been taken out for perhaps an illness or to check to make sure the cat uses the litter box. I wish they were open more hours, but there are not enough volunteers to do that.

This lady is unwilling to work with those who have children and your child goes to school. She wants you to have your children present for a cat adoption but won't work with you because of current school hours. Instead of staying open 30 minutes later to accommodate the fact I have children. I don't think she likes kids to be honest and how she refused to work with me proved that.. was very rude in how she spoke to me. And hung up on me trying to figure something out. Lady had a rude attitude and hung up on me after I informed her my son couldn't skip school to see a cat. Would not work anything out with me instead snapped at me and hung up on me after saying she denied my adoption. Instead of working out a time to meet that works with me. My son gets out of school at 3 right as she closes . I'm assuming she doesn't like kids or want kids to enjoy a cat.. would make sense why she closes at hour she does anyways and instead of staying open even minutes later she shut me down.. . I specifically asked if she could work something out with me and she rudely told me no and hung up on me.. very poor customer service and I'll never refer anyone to her. Shame on you.

Very rude, unprofessional. Me and my fiancé went in too see if we could look at the cats. Asked if we could look at the cats she said No, okay that’s fine. Then rudely asked us or age… and when we told her our age she said “No, you have to be 21” in a very rude manner. She was just very unprofessional and rude in general.

You can tell this woman loves animals! She is dedicated to the care of cats, feral and loving, and this rescue facility is worthy of all the donations and voluteers it can get!!! You can get all your cats shots for under $4, you do have to give them yourself, but she will help by telling you EXACTLY what you need to do to administer the vaccinations. I STRONGLY recommend this facility!!!

Kathy, the owner, is a really wonderful person. She will make arrangements 4 free spaying and neutering of cats as well as free worming and cats 1st shots. I have 6 that need fixing, etc. This saved me so much money. Very grateful.

Rude. I called for getting my kitten spayed, she said "You have to come in, I can't tell anything but answering only a couple of questions. I can't talk right now, someone is here." Why so shady and unprofessional?I don't dare to take my cat there.I would rather spend more money, take her to my regular vet.

Riduculous...I was hung up on when I called to get some strays an appointment so I could work on finding them all homes easier. I was even willing to pay the $15 for each cat. These guys are no friends of pets.

I called to schedule an appointment for my kitten to get fixed and the lady was so rude to me. I hung up on her she said. Will you have to come in? How would we even do that by phone like that makes no sense you have to come in I mean. Way to be freaking rude to somebody who just asked a simple question who doesn't know how your place works! All I have to say is wow. Unbelievable. I will go to a normal vet clinic. I will not deal with people such as that. Have a nice day lady

Amazing facility. We adopted a special needs kitty from here a few days ago. The cats are happy and friendly because they are not caged and get to run free. This also helps immensely during the process of trying to figure out which cat is right for you. The adoption process at this facility starts with a phone call and the lady that runs the place will ask you some questions to make sure you are suitable to adopt and figure out what cats would or wouldn't be a match for you. Then you can go to the facility and interact with all the cats. They do require a $20 donation to interact with the cats, but if you do decide to adopt then they deduct that from the adoption fee. However you can go in the building and just look through the glass at the cat room for no charge. The lady in charge was nice, easy to work with, and knowledgeable. She's obviously very committed to these kitties. Would definitely adopt from here again!

Do not go here. We just sent out cat to get Spayed and were told she would be delivered back the next day, today as of this writing. Me and my room mate tried to call back as we have had no follow up or notice she was being delivered back. If we had a car and/or lived closer, we would go down in person to pick our cat back up. Instead we get a voice mail stating blatantly to not leave a message as they don't check their voice mail. Now that they are closed, we don't know if we will get our cat back. They will likely be reported. Not worth the $15. Go to a proper vet clinic and get it done professionally.

They are amazing and help sooo many people. Cathy is great and really knows her stuff. Please donate if you can. It's a great cause. 😺🐶They now spay/neuter dogs as well as cats. We had 4 large dogs done and 8 cats done. The process was very easy and they took great care of our animals. They offer dewormer and yearly vaccines also. ⭐️

The lady who answered the phone was very rude when I called to ask a question. I didn't realize this was a spay/ neuter return back to site facility. I told the lady on the phone ( I'm assuming Kathy) that I trapped 4 kittens and found good homes but wanted to find a home for the mother cat. She said we don't take them we are just a spay/neuter return back to site facility. I stated I couldn't return this kitty back to the site. (Due to the fact that this pregnant ferrel cat my aunt was feeding lacerated my aunt's 13 year old cat's eye and was picking on her I was looking for a better solution .)She very rudely said I've got to go and hung up before I could say anything else. It's too bad because I'm sure it irritated her when I said I couldn't return the cat back to site. I am a huge cat lover also. This seems to be a good organization overall but one person can spoil it with absolute unnecessary rudeness. I will try to find some sort of solution for this ferrel cat .I do not want to take her to the humane society as she will be euthanized.

A treasure for the community. FOP does great work. Edit: for all the people leaving bad reviews and complaining about customer service: you are NOT customers. This is not a business. If you think you are a customer and doing business and expect to be treated like a customer, you are going to be very unhappy. If you get an attitude like you are at the drive thru at McKittens and want a happy meal with a smile, you will be disappointed. This is a charity. You are asking for charity. Be grateful or go away.

I visited there today for one of the spay and neuter certificates. Kathy was super helpful and very nice. I don't know what the other reviews were about. Don't go in with an attitude but that's every day everywhere you go what you put out will usually reciprocate.
