Beautiful clean store I like to shop in since I live in Joseph, the smoked cheese is to die for! Cold beverages, and the best produce section in the county for nice looking products. Now for the not the best.. Pearl has an attitude every time I come in and it’s once or twice a week, I thought she was the owner and didn’t care if she ran out customers. However I asked another employee that works there and they said she is not.Sorry owners your store is amazing but I have to deduct two stars ⭐️ because Pearl’s attitude isn’t nice 😬

This store has been around since I started visiting the Wallowa Lake area (about 44 years). It's been through some highs and lows for sure. The current owners are doing a wonderful job. Just arrived in town late afternoon and it's nicely stocked and the produce looks great! The burger is locally sourced from Hurricane Creek Ranch. Highly recommend!

This places veggies and fruits honestly the whole store is always immaculate. But everyone of there fruits and vegetables are clean and displayed so beautifully. Costumer service is always amazing. I had a question and the manager kayla (I believe her name was) was quick to help and got me on my way happily satisfied. I will be going back again and I recommend everyone shops there.

Good folks but highest prices for groceries.

Crazy over-priced, just taking advantage of tourists that don't want to go to Enterprise for reasonably priced groceries. I will never buy their hot food again, eaten too many cold "hot foods" and soggy sandwiches. The premade salads and sandwich wraps are $9! I can go to a restaurant, have a better sandwich and a side for the same price.

New owners purchased the store and have done a remarkable job trying to turn this place back into a usable store that we can rely on. They now have a bakery instead of a mini fast food kitchen (which the residents kinda miss) but there is still freshly made up food to be had and as there are more fast food places right around it, it was probably a good choice to go into baking rather than using the kitchen as it had been used. Their produce is unquestionably the best, second only to some stall markets that run in the summer. They are not hindered by the rules that govern Safeway so they can offer fresher, local food products as well as standard items you would expect at a market. They are a small group, but they work hard and are very friendly and helpful. If you are not a resident, the name has "evolved" slightly, but the building and location are the same.

Usually nice customer service at this store. We visit town 3-4 times a year but this day cashier was rude and made me pay for cold coffee told me to microwave it? Sorry but it shud already be hot that’s rude bad customer service! I had to leave biting my tongue before I snapped. Not good for business for being in a small town. We will b doing our shopping at any other store other that this place

I am a local. I went in as I do to support a local business (all through lockdown, I did that, even though they are way way way expensive). To my horror, there was a wink /nudge poster on the door - here's how you get out of mask wearing. No wonder the local city councilman died.Shame on them.My hundreds of dollars? Not going here any more. I spent a lot trying to keep them going, but this egregious effort to get around life saving masks is abhorrent.

It is mostly your typical small grocery store, but with some added bonuses. The Good: You can often find some local produce and the produce is quite fresh. It has a large selection of non-alcoholic beverages, including Kombucha on tap. If you like smoked meats, you are in for a real treat and so is your pup (they carry local smoked dog bones). They also carry beans from our local coffee roaster which many people rave about (I prefer blonde roasts). The remodeling that was done is really great, and if you are grabbing lunch, there's a place to sit, eat and people watch. The Not-So-Good: It is over-priced compared to the grocery stores in enterprise, which they can get away with being the only one in town. Ready-to-eat foods need improvement: the sandwiches are mostly bread that look much better than they taste, pasta salads and such are bland, and the hot food section is neither hot, nor labeled correctly (I have gotten 2 pulled pork sandwiches and a chicken sandwich all luke warm and labeled as some other food). They used to have a great bakery called Vanilla Stag, which is gone now.The good far outweighs the not-so-good considering that this is a little small-town market, though I do prefer Ruby Peak Naturals ad Dollar Stretcher.

Mt. Joseph Family Foods is a lovely, family friendly, and easily accessible grocery store on the main road in Joseph Oregon. Service is excellent, and for being a small community store, the options for groceries, deli foods, and smoked meats are quite varied. Some smoked meats carried include Elk and Buffalo, and are made in house fresh. You can also get your ice, firewood, and propane at the store, and (depending on availability) can also have your hunt hung and butchered. As of September 2017, fees for hanging are a $25 fee for the first 1-3 days and then $7 daily after the initial 3 days. If you have the need for certain spices or seasonings, the store has an exceptional selection including things like Saffron, and even less common spices such as Cardomam and Juniper Berries. All in all, shopping here is a great experience with friendly, helpful, and attentive employees. If you have the need for groceries, Mt. Joseph Family Foods is the right choice.

Definitely a great resource for extended stay vacationers in the Joseph area. A great little grocery store to stock up on anything you forgot or need. We shopped there 2-3 times during our week stay in Joseph.

Just happy to have the market back in Joseph! Prices are a little higher, and we miss the locally tended smoked meats, but it appears that they have all the basics covered.
