I think the store is nice and clean and has exactly whatever random thing I'm looking for, but sometimes the cashiers can be super rude to me and my partner. We are both shy and I think they take that as being unfriendly? The last cashier didn't even let my partner finish putting his number in for the deals and rewards, and then aggressively scanned our items and began talking to the customer behind us in a different language. It makes me uncomfortable to go in there because I don't know how the cashier will react to me and my partner being quiet people.

The recent weather has been snow and thick ice, and we needed to get a few essentials since the road just cleared up. Apperantly, they needed to close early for the weather, which makes sense, so we grabbed what we needed really quick and went to pay. We are between paydays and only had leftover quarters and dollar bills (would have payed another way if we could've), and while the guy who was cashiering was nice, the woman behind the counter looked at me and called us crazy, then walked to the bathroom and made rude remarks. I'm a cashier, and we would not have usually had to pay like this, but that was incredibly rude and childish and, I'm sure to their pleasure, we won't go back there even when we are payed. Please consider being nicer to those who are having a hard time.

Check your food before you buy it. We had gotten snacks last night and most of them are expired. We also didn’t get our receipt because why would we need a receipt for late night snacks so I probably can’t return them.

Male employee is very rude and lazy. Had to be called by coworkers for help with a coupon problem several times before hunted down and found by cashier. Denied me my digital coupon when internet inside and outside the store isn't good, because I should just know that everyone does digital coupons at home, the store is so low on certain diet products that I don't know if they'll be in stock and thus dont look for a coupon unless it's in stock. Employee did not know how to look up the soda item number for what I had bought, forced me to go back to the car and grab bring back a soda only to then say I don't get my discount because he I'm the rude one. Never got receipt back.Update: My disabled father got the receipt back and coupon handled, after being yelled at by the male employee over the question, "are you in charge today?"According to my father the man rambled quietly using terms my father either couldn't understand or hear. Math seemed rushed but hey he at least got some money back.Employee claimed made a comment to my father that I called him stupid when I spoke him. I at no point said stupid, I did make it clear that he didn't know how to do parts of his job, but never said stupid.He wanted to act like I should just know things about their business: "most people" coupon at home, some digital coupons are automatic some aren't, their location is a dead zone.

Sales lead/manager was very unprofessional with an attitude coming outside during lunch while eating during off the clock lunch telling customers they can't clean bottles/cans in the carts. And not wearing a name tag while on the clock. The lady had dirty blonde/brunette long hair.

Overall, the store typically has what I need and I don't usually have a problem getting it. Cons would be, I buy too many items that are expired or the chips will be stale (pringles specifically.) I don't have a lot of money to go to a different store and buy a snack so it is very inconvenient and honestly ridiculous. Staff are alright. Most of the time they seem bothered and/or stressed.Versus the other stores in town, DG is still the best.

The manager was very unprofessional I absolutely hate her I tried to apologize for taking too long and she didn't answer me at all then she went out of her way by threatening to yell at me. I'd give this dollar general 0 starts if I could.

Ive been here twice. Wide selection of items. I bought 2 cookie sheets. Weird!They have a nice holiday section and a little of everything even frozwn foods.Fun place to explore and keep in mind this is not a 1$ store. Items seem to have decent prices but this isn't a dollar store.

Always a hello and welcome upon arrival. Always good music. Always great choices. Always room to linger longer in the isles. Service is awesome. No huge crowds to contend with. Always find what I'm looking for, and always find something extra. Pleasurable place to shop.

Great selection! Great prices(on some things),employee's have always been really nice and willing to help. They could probably using other worker to ensure that nobody's waiting at the front for very long however there's not I absolutely love this store

Love this place. Lots of good prices and brand name items. Great for quick runs to the store for a couple items you don't want to drive 20 minutes to get. My one problem:. The constant restocking with boxes and carts everywhere.

I love dollar general, our "little community" in Dollar General is very upbeat, friendly and helpful. Even if it's just before closing, I've never heard an utter under anyone's breath about any last minute shopper needing in real quick. Very helpful, understanding and a pleasure to gi shopping there.

I love this place! Really adds to what is available in our small town. They are also the only place I could find sugar and flour during the early stages of the pandemic! Great staff - super selection and fantastic prices!

Often, in small towns, your retail choices are limited and the prices are high. I was pleasantly surprised by the prices in this Dollar General. In fact for some items, they have the very best prices For example, regular sized candy is just 50¢. Imagine - a Snicker's bar and bag of M&M's for a dollar! If bought at the convenience store, that would be three or four dollar cost.

This is just the kind of store Jefferson has needed for the longest time now. Speaking as the former president of the Jefferson Area Chamber of Commerce. Dollar General is a perfect fit for our small city. They offer an excellent selection within well chosen product categories. It is conveniently located, and the staff is helpful and friendly. From me they get 5 stars.

I liked the Dollar General. It was my time visiting a Dollar General. Not quite what I expected but I understand that each one is different. It was more of a convenience store type feel but still pretty good. Nothing at all like a Dollar Tree. I will definitely visit again

This establishment is absolutely filthy. It is impossible to enter the premises without walking through an enormous swarm of flies. On the way out, I speed walked through the swarm to avoid contact and was stopped in the parking lot and accused of stealing before another employee came out and confirmed that was not the case.

I love this store. A great variety of product, friendly helpful staff, reasonable prices on grocery items, household items to beauty, and personal hygene products. Just wish they had a small produce section. This is my go to store now days, for things I can't get at other stores in jefferson.

I would not purchase a single food item from this store. Management needs to get a handle on their pest problem with a professional pest control company. Walking in the door through a literal cloud of flies is horrifying and disgusting and I will not be back until they have that under control. The smell outside the front door of their flytrap made me violently sick. Worst shopping experience I have EVER had. Pest control needs immediate attention.

Very good selections from a grocery store with budget in mind... Too bad that there is no produce or fresh meat sections. It's a treat to have this store in our little town! The name confused me a bit... I was expecting it to be a dollar store, but was happy to see what they have!!

I love the prices on things like everyday items such as laundry soap and shampoos. Could be slightly faster service however I know the ladies that work there do the best they can and it's always always friendly staff!

Decent prices. Works great in a pinch. Staff is hit or miss. Some are friendly others just don't acknowledge you. Cashier smashed hamburger buns into bag.

This place opened in our small town over a year ago it's good to have it here there's so much variety. I stopped here at least once a week. Sometimes the place is packed so expect to wait in long lines there's usually only one cashier at a time.

Lots of bargains for only a buck. Keep in mind you get what you pay for. That being said you can still find some real gems here. You don't save any money shopping with them online or for bulk orders so that's a drag.

They never have a bathroom. Stuff such as a 5x5 pillow is listed for 25-30$ plastic cups are 20$ a cup. So prices are ridiculous

We have been here 2x both times was hit with a cloud of flies at the front door would not purchase anything edible it is terrible. Odor from fly trap discusting. Employees all friendly. Pest control needs immediate attention. So many flies in store it is revolting.
