Supply is adequate for a small town. Most cashiers are super nice and friendly. A cashier named Angela, while nice and all, is very judgemental and has made me uncomfortable on multiple occasions. As part of the more diverse population in our small community, I intend to steer clear of her in the future.

So as a trucker I ran out of drive time I politely go ask the store manager if I can do my reset there he said yes just as long as you talk to our drivers so they won’t have a hard time getting out I said okay I give this a 5 star cause he understood and had compassion for me as a truck driver butThen night shift manager Samantha have employees come banging on my door to tell me to move I politely tell them what the other manager said and went on about my night wasn’t able to go back to sleep which sucksBut to Samantha us truckers make this world go world literally we have it hard enough in this world DONT make it harder most accidents are caused by sleepy drivers my first time in your state things happen I wasn’t going to be able to make it to a truck stop but I definitely know now not to ever chance your store again thanks for ruining my sleep2star rating for this store I seen you guys have a history of being racist to everyone not of your color 🤦🏾‍♀️‼️

You guys need to figure your line thing out. Better marking, a sign, a person something. Then you try to help your self going through self checkout and everything you buy needs to stay on that little tray to done. Get real. Just do Safeway from now on!

The meat departmen is horable the cuts of meat is a joke. My wife bought a roats that weighed 2.21lbs for $15 it looked like a good cut. Until i took it o I t of the package the bottom was 1" of fat and down the center of the roast thier was a1/4 of unedable grissleBy the time i trimed it we lost over 1/2 the meat. I have been a cheif for 25 years ever sencei graduatedFrom culinary school i have never seen such a badly cut roast. We paid $15 for 1lb of of poor meat. I would not sugest shoping the meat department

Good environment. It's just a great place to drop by and grab a couple of things before starting on dinner. I'm glad to have one of these in the central part of the two towns. Less than a 2 minute drive from my house.

Waremart is an easy place to shop, and most of the employees go above and beyond to help you if you ask.It's not the prettiest place to shop, and you'll need cash or a cash card for your purchases, but it's tough to beat their prices!

Cons:1)Chronically long checkout lines.2) A micromanaging cashier occasionally manning the “self”-checkout, causing the process to take at least twice as long as it should. (Example: as I’m starting to already select the correct button for water or produce, she tries to tell me the code to put in for a “shortcut”… Her shortcut doesn’t work, of course, and she comes over and tries herself literally 10 more times, even though I could have had it done correctly the first time, as I was before she attempted to help.Pros: Great prices, mostly great employees, and especially Sonja, who went above and beyond with customer service during the ice storm last month!

They offer really great deals on produce from time to time but the only way I seem to discover the deals is by visiting the store. I'm disappointed I don't seem to get any weekly flyers delivered to me in the mail.Their deli section is great to work with. I'd like to get their potato bowls with corn, chicken and cheese but they don't always have them out. I've learned that if you ask for them when you first go into the store they will make them for you. It usually takes them about 20 minutes to make them but I'm usually in the store for at least that long.The reason I gave them four stars is because of their check out process. Virtually every time I go there the self checkout line is blocking the bread isle and often the row behind it as well. The other end of the bread line is usually blocked by the single, checkout counter at the opposite end. Which is usually the only line open and regularly has a very long line. So it's difficult to get in and get bread. And then sometimes people who are getting bread have a new lane open and they get in first when all kinds of people have been standing in line waiting 😡It's to bad they don't offer a line for people with 25 items or less. I don't know how many times I've gone into the store to grab one or two items and then spent more time in line than I actually spent shopping. There's no such thing as "It'll only take me a few minute to grab." this anymore. I wonder if they have a policy that once so many people are in line a new line is to open immediately. If so I wonder if they follow it.

I have spent tens of thousands of dollars here over the last 25 years. They have consistently kept prices low and are very accommodating. My only complaint would be they've removed the clock by the checkout area.

Waremart has everything you need for a cheap price. HOWEVER I hate going there because there is usually only 1-3 cashier's when there are 7 stations.... It's the busiest grocery store in the Monmouth/Independence/Dallas area and there is only 1 self check out isle with three stations??? If there aren't going to be cashier's, then there needs to be a second self check out station or three. The place is too busy and the lines get too long. Why hasn't anything been changed?

Excellent produce, excellent quality of meats and best prices! It’s understandable to have to wait in line occasionally but in general you get through very quickly! I love the bulk section! All customer service there is great besides two employees who are always grouchy! I just don’t go in their line.

I shop here because they have the best prices in town. They need to add more self checkout lanes and staff more cashiers. Too often the line goes all the way to the back of the store and you have to wait 20-30 minutes to check out. The store isn’t super clean but not terrible. The manager was rude to me once but otherwise the employees are friendly but seem burnt out. The store needs to be bigger because Monmouth and independence are growing quickly and everyone shops here.

While I understand this is a small town store, if you want to do major grocery shopping you would be better served to go to Winco in Salem. Some departments are really limited in selection and prices seem to be a few cents more on some things. Its great for running to get a few small items if you can find them. Staff are friendly for the most part.

Waremart is a great grocery store, the food is fresh and there aren't any problems. However, the wait is often quite slow.They have about 10 check out lanes, but most of the time they only have enough employees to keep 2 or 3 open, resulting in slow checkout times.

Go to Salem or Corvallis. This Waremart never has enough cashiers or leads. I have gone there multiple times and not been able to get money orders during the hours they are able to do them. Legitimately have to wait in an insanely long line (due to there being very few and VERY slow cashiers) just to find out I wasted my entire time. They are completely incompetent and Winco should be ashamed of putting their name on such a poorly run store.

Much better, much cleaner than before the pandemic. Will go back, now. The belt and bagging area could still stand more attention, but we have all had to learn. Thanks for the great coffee bean selections, and good produce area. Keep up the good work.

A discount supermarket that has managed to keep the small-town, friendly feel. The offer an excellent selection of anything you might need in a daytime or late-night shopping trip. The staff is consistently friendly, cheerful and helpful, and the prices are very competitive. Just need to have free samples and it would be perfect.

I was here with my daughter, shopping during the "Covid Experience". This store is well stocked with a great selection and variety of goods. There's a huge selection of bulk dry goods, fresh selection of produce, meats, breads, dairy etc. Prices were good with many items at prices less than Safeway of Dallas. Even with the Social Distancing in place, lines were a minimum for checking out and even with self packing of groceries, it went smooth and quick. The store is clean, people friendly and helpful. Something occured while we were there..a woman who was using the self checkout arrived at the point of paying for her items. She went to use her debit card and the machine "ate" it. With the cardunavailable, she asked a clerk for assistance and wanted to pay with a check. The store would not allow this due to the fact the checks did not have her personal info printed on her checks (the woman had only recently opened her checking account and these were free bank checks provided until the printed ones were mailed to her.) She was able to provide proper id but without cash, proper checks or means of payment she was SOL. She didn't have a huge basket full of groceries...so several folk offered to help her by paying for the food. Much as they tried, she graciously refused the offers. I don't know the final outcome, as we had to leave but the message to readers of this is if you shop here, be certain you take with you what they require for payment... and don't forget to bring your own bags, unless you want the ones they provide for a small fee. All in all, it's a great place to shop when you are looking to save money on quality foods.

The selection is good, the prices are affordable, the people are helpful. Les from Produce is a wonderful example of what customer service should be. He is always pleasant, willing to help in any way he can, and very knowledgeable. I never feel like I'm bothering him with a question or request. With people like him working there it's a great place to shop.
