I love the helpfulness and knowledge the staff have here. I have been pleasantly surprised at how much they have on their shelves, often saving a trip to Salem at the big box stores. Prices are reasonable considering the gas and time I save. We are very lucky to have such a great resource in our little community.

Super helpful, personal service, and a great community hardware store. Only downfalls are a limited inventory of individual products. It's not Home Depot with dozens of everything, but it's local and family owned and ran. If you value that old time service this will meet your every expectation.

As a single mom, I am often in need of advice on how to fix things around the house. For almost 20 years, this store has provided me with the knowledge and supplies I need to complete jobs around he house. The staff are knowledgeable and recognize when they don't know the answer, and get advice from other staff when needed. Thank goodness for this store!

Great store, they have most everything youll need and often times have really good options of quality stuff. I am here at least 2 days a week, sometimes more. They are always friendly and super helpful, and don't bat an eye at helping me in the yard, or with the specific stainless bolts im looking for. Cheers.

These guys are fantastic. Went in today to purchase a replacement ballast for my fluorescent lights as the one just purchased from a big box store was not working. Dave made the suggestion to convert from T12 to T8 (LED), talked me through the process and saved me money in the end. I highly recommend this store and the people who work there.

When you're faced with a weekend project, there are only a few places locally to choose from. This place has it all. By far wayyyy more hardware and household tools/supplies than the other "hardware" store in town. This place is the bees knees. Super friendly and helpful staff. I asked for something very specific and they not only knew if they sold it, they also took me right to where it was. Not bad for an odd ball item! I've found stuff here that not a single hardware store in the salem area had including lowes and home depot. We will always bring our business here!

Overall they have a good selection of a wide range of items. We had a number of projects that needed a variety of screws, bolts and nuts and I was impressed with the selection.Their staff are super helpful and available. They can help you find what you are looking for or suggest alternatives. We visited the store multiple times, and every time I had excellent help and service

Town and Country is the best small town hardware store you could ask for. Whether I need to pick up a few items for a project, or need to spend a half hour puzzling together the ingredients for my latest home improvement venture, this is the place I love to go. The staff is always friendly and knowledgeable, and they're usually able to get my weekend projects underway.

I went there looking for metric hex keys in a larger size and they totally had them, and at a great price.I walked in, the sales associate asked if I needed help finding anything, I told him what I needed and he led me straight to them. He unlocked the case and let us look at various sets and brands, answered our question and rang us up on an extra register since the other registers were being used.Fantastic customer service. Great value. Clean store. Good selection, overall a great store. I will definitely be back for my future hardware and paint need.Ooooo and they makes keys! :)

Went in the find some deck screws for my project and all I had was a picture of the box. I was helped by an employee who was able to find the exact screws with no issues and ended up saving me a lot of time. They had a lot of screws to choose from but she helped me make sure I didn't make a mistake.

We have a lot of hardware stores in our town but I always find myself coming here when I need instruction or help it's really nice not to have to watch a YouTube video I just walk in explain what I need and what I'm doing and the really nice employees always give me helpful hints and point me in the right direction can't say that about very many places these days

I was sent here by Monmouth Hardware when they didn't have the type of PVC pipe I needed. The staff was very friendly, super helpful and really accommodating.I told the clerk helping us I needed four feet of four inch styrene PVC pipe since stuff like this is usually sold by the foot. Then I asked him if he could cut the pipe into four 10 inch sections for me; adding I'd pay for all four feet. He smiles and says "So all you really want is 40 inches cut into four 10 inch sections?". I'm happily surprised by his question, as I expected to have to buy four feet of pipe, but I quickly agree.Then he tells me while he cuts my pipe sections I can go let the cashier know what I bought and pay my bill if I'd like. I thought that was very thoughtful of him. We took advantage of his suggestion and I'll bet our entire visit lasted less than 10 minutes.

This is a good modern old-fashioned hardware store for a small town, with a small but rather complete lumber yard. On any particular day, you might find David and/or Vickie (the owners) helping a customer find an item or running the cash register. They have a good selection of plumbing, electrical, paint, lawn & garden, and tools, along with a selection of chain, rope, curtain rods, magnets, and a substantial array of fasteners and other various hardware. Out back, they have dimension lumber up to sixteen feet long and will cut it to order on their chop saw, free if it isn't more than a few cuts. They also have twenty-foot lengths of PVC pipe that they will also cut to order. Best of all, their staff are generally pretty knowledgeable and eager to help, even if you are only there to buy an 8¢ screw from their drawers of special hardware. They don't keep pennies for change, so if you want to pay full price, use plastic. Otherwise, expect them to round your total down to the next nickel. Your 8¢ screw will only cost you five if you with pay with cash.UPDATE: As of July 2018, they have discontinued selling dimensional lumber except for 2X4X8 AND 2X6X8.

This is a great little hardware store between Monmouth and Independence. Run by the couple who owns it. Friendly and helpful atmosphere and the only hardware store in the immediate area. Not too many True Value stores left as most have become Ace. I love this place
