One of The Best and coolest places we’ve ever stayed. Its an old lodge with just a few rooms that the owners bought and renovated. The rooms are clean, comfortable, reasonably priced. The owners Joanne and her husband are fantastic. Very warm, friendly, and accommodating.We stayed on a Friday night. After checking in we joined a few people at the beer/wine bar. We noticed more and more people arriving with food. After a few drinks we were treated to a potluck type dinner/gathering of their friends, neighbors, and other hotel guests. Things wrapped up around 8 pm. Great food. Wonderful people. (Note... I think this only happens on Fridays)Its a very low key, unique place. (Cools, bar area, outside deck, beautiful hardwood floors). We loved it. At times we felt we were in Cheers. Will definitely stay there again.Nearby activities: Store, gas station, just across the street. Nice location.Food & drinks: Nice selection of beers at bar (only cans and bottles)

I stopped here on my way back to the coast after visiting Crater Lake. My daughter and I loved the property! The owners are fantastic and make you feel at home immediately. The rooms were very clean and quite comfortable. On arrival, I grabbed a beer from what was a thorough collection of some local favorites. The owner (wish I got her name) suggested some fun activities to try in the area and went above and beyond to make sure we enjoyed our stay.I'd definitely stay here again and highly recommend the experience!

Don't judge this book by its cover. My son and I booked the lodge online as a stop on our way from Crater lake to the coast. It was a little rough on the outside but it is 100 years old. However, Joanne, the host, was very accommodating. The room was clean and comfortable and quiet. The lobby area was very nostalgic with decor from bygone days and plenty of room to stretch out. Would definitely recommend and stay again when we are in the area.

We loved our stay at the Idleyld Lodge. It was a quiet escape, where we felt extremely welcomed by the owners and locals. The new owners of the lodge fully renovated the space and it’s a comfortable and relaxing stay…truly a home away from home. We were also able to enjoy some live music provided by the locals in the main shared space of the lodge. Johanne, one of the owners, mentioned that she hosts live music every Friday and provides a home cooked meal. We were able to be a part of this on the Friday night that we stayed there and it was a real treat. We highly recommend staying at the Idleyld Lodge.

Owners were excellent! They have remodeled many things (new shower, toilet, floors, vanity, beds, etc, etc) but kept some awesome history intact such as a 100 year old hardwood floor that author Zane Grey used to dance on and a really cool bar top. The water in the entire town smells weird but they told us that upfront pre-booking and provided lots of bottled water for our stay. We loved walking from hotel to narrows in Umqua!

The whole experience was extremely refreshing and comfortable. I would definitely make another trip out just to stay here. The owners were incredibly nice, the room was better than any hotel we've stayed at, and all for an incredible price. They put lots of care into preparing the room and the building and it made our stay incredible. Can't recommend enough

Our room was very clean and the beds were very comfortable. I enjoyed the coffee pods provided. The bathroom was recentlyNearby activities: Salmon, steelhead and trout fishing are all available near this lodge. Steamboat Inn is a great place to eat and is only 25 minutes away from The Lodge.

Daughter's birthday party was a big home run!!! The staff's magic tricks, escape rooms, demolition room and foosball were crazy fun! Greeting was warm and cozy followed by excellent magic tricks from Ron throughout our stay. Very friendly and accommodating staff put the 12 teens at easy and well entertained for 4 hours.... Amazing! Lots of vocal buzz on the drive home. Highly recommended for teens. Price was an excellent value. Planning an adult trip with friends soon. Great small town feel and service, 5 stars for sure.

Very very fun escape rooms! Set a record in the Magician room and then gave the Kidnapped room a try. Had a lot of fun in both and Ron and Jessica were wonderful hosts and even gave us a little magic show. 10/10 would recommend!

Phenomenal restaurant! Amazing service, the premises are pristine, the food is great.I got dinner here, and followed up with breakfast the following morning. Both were served quickly (within 15 minutes), and the food was delicious.They also have the option to have a packed lunch to go with a sandwich and snacks. I tried it out for my trip to Crater Lake and it was AMAZING! The sandwich was filling, the snacks were great (you even got a small slice of cake!), and there was even a little note inside that said "happy hiking!" Perhaps the best part though was that they don't give it to yu in a brown paper sack. You get an insulated lunch box that you get to keep as a keepsake!I loved eating here.
