We went to WIndance just to look at a bike rack we were interested in buying on line. The great customer service we received from Monty led us to order it through WIndance and it was delivered within a week. Monty installed it for us and gave us a thorough tutorial on using it. I highly recommend WIndance for all of your adventure purchases. Best customer service ever!

Very cool and helpful peeps! I have purchased a few North Orbits and a navigator bar from them in the past month, they were sure to get me the best possible deal on them, and they also shipped them out to me very expediently. I was also in the shop yesterday, checked out some of their used gear selection, and purchased a 2023 Mystic Stealth harness and gen3 spreader bar. Anyways, I purchased the harness and spreader bar, left the shop and went to setup my harness and head out to kite and noticed the clip for the spreader bar latch mechanism was missing. I headed back to the shop to get it sorted out, and both the sales person and Manager/Owner were both very helpful in finding me that missing piece, and made sure everything worked and was setup correctly. They both helped me to get my issue sorted out with no hassle at all, and I was out of there in a few minutes to head back out to kite. Thank you all Windance peeps, it's a pleasure doing business with y'all!

Windance and the entire Windance crew have been my 1-stop connection to the wonderful world of wing foiling. The crew invests in their customers and provides educated helpful guidance on gear and gear selection as you progress. I’ve been working with Bill regularly and have referred him to my students and friends, as we all ride FOne. Bill’s kindness and efficiency creates that friendly atmosphere that makes it easy to ask questions. Orders are delivered promptly too. I also order from their Mystic and Dakine line of products and recently purchased my first FOne Downwinder Carbon Pro board! I attribute my love of all things Windsports to the excellent advice at Windance. Looking forward to decades more fun with this crew.

Used items condition not graded appropriately. Received a tattered sail claiming to be B grade that is barely hanging together. Shady af steer clear. Obviously this sail isn't in " good" condition and repairs are super shotty. You sir are a liar, thief and a crook.

I like Windance because they carry F1 Foil gear, and F1 hand wings. I like the hand wings because they are great for all levels and the foils have great performance. The shop also has a great variety of clothing, wetsuits, hardware and other water-sport accessories. James and Nick were great in helping me find what I needed. Chris is knowledge regarding wingfoiling is quite extensive. Thanks again guys for all your help.

I wanted to rate my experience with Windance Boardshop and F-One HM Carbon 75cm mast I bought from them. First, I’ll start with my interaction with Dan – he was super knowledgeable about F-One products and gave his honest perspective on aluminum vs. carbon F-One masts. His honesty persuaded me to do business with Windance. Communication, shipping and delivery time was all top-notch, if you’re looking for surfing/foiling equipment it’s a solid place to get your gear.About the F-One HM 75cm mast, after a few sessions with the new mast can tell for sure that carbon mast compared to aluminum 75 cm is more stable at high speed (20-25+ mph water speed) wing foiling. The aluminum mast started to vibrate with my Phantom 1280 at 20+ mph, while the carbon mast has no vibrations at all. No matter high hard I push at high speed, the plane felt rock solid. To me, the extra cost for carbon HM mast is worth it and I would recommend switching to carbon mast for anyone who is intermediate to advanced wing foiler. Hope this helps fellow wingers!

Best shop and customer service in Hood River. Great selection of gear with a very knowledgeable staff. Big shout out to Chris Schey who helped me with getting me on the right board and wingfoil setup. Love the F-one gear and have not been disappointed. Very pleased with the new owner and staff and a huge step up from what it was a few years ago. Change is good! Lots of young energy and enthusiasm and can feel the passion from the staff. Keep up the good work guys!! Thank you and will be back for more!!

Wish I could say it's a great shop with a huge selection and I can't wait to shop, but I can't. I explored the whole store trying to get a sales person, was passed over TWice at the counter and had to speak up over the sales guy to say, "I'm next" with two other (male) customers telling the guy I was here ahead of them. Finally actually looked at me in the face and asked what I wanted but interrupted me like I was asking for blue cheese, helpfully directed me to a wing but wouldn't tell me how much, "it's 30% off," how much, actually laughed in my face saying, "I don't keep those numbers memorized", how much, "600 something, but I have some used wings in the back". I felt like I was buying a car from an old fat white guy high on 1950. So humiliating to have to pull teeth just to buy sporting equipment as a woman. Young Man, you're not clever and you didn't invent a new way to sidestep women. Your attempt at dismissal and shaming was amateur and tacky and so insulting to me personally. I won't be bringing my tens of Thousands of dollars in mature discretionary funds to your business. I won't stoop, scrape, or beg someone to take my money. Too many other places where a woman can buy gear without this misogynist discrimination. ..you guys wonder why there aren't more chics in the sport to hang out with. Gotta have access to the gear first.

I ordered a wing foil package to be shipped to Texas and one of the packages was stolen when the delivery person left the boxes in the wrong place. I tried to get FedEx to reimburse for the loss, but it was a big headache. The awesome guys at Windance took over the problem, sent me a replacement wing and dealt with FedEx themselves. Awesome customer service!

Wanted to give major props to Nick and his employees. I got one of those rare kites (Ocean Rodeo) that was defective and couldn't be fixed (panels weren't sewn symmetrically on both sides). Bill at Windance helped me fill out a warranty claim. Ocean Rodeo immediately sent out a new kite and in less than 2 weeks, I got a replacement. Top notch service from both Windance and Ocean Rodeo. Buy your kiting equipment here with complete peace of mind!

I stopped by Windance while visiting Hood River just to see what was new, since it had been years since I windsurfed. The staff was friendly, helpful without being pushy, and knowledgeable. They answered my questions and offered great suggestions on how to get into the newer facets of the sport. I wasn't buying then, but when I do it will be from Windance - since they do online/mail order as well .

Never shopping here again. Ive been a dedicated Windance customer since 2004. Recently I had to return an item under warranty. Multiple phone calls and emails to get the item. Finally the item came weeks later. I emailed Windance explaining how their service was sub standard and ....nothing. Prior to new owners I would have given Windance 5 stars easily.

Could work on customer service/sales.Went in yesterday looking to buy a kite bar and all I got was an arrogant attitude when I asked for a specific bar. He laughed when I said I was looking for the Sentry v1.1 bar. I asked what’s funny. He said, “all these bars are garbage.” Handed me a Slingshot bar and walked away. Needless to say, I didn’t buy anything.

Can not give enough stars. My local So Cal windsurfing store bummed me out for the last time. I needed a Chinook colar snap for standard size.Local stated that my rig was old, this old, that old, buy new bla bla bla I need a tendon as well. Oh we might have it. Done. three strikes.Windance answers the phone. Super cool and I get the parts within two days in Palos Verdes Ca. The local shop..uh. maybe we can get it on a truck in a couple weeks.... Whatever.We know here my new stuff and parts come from here on out... I am getting into windsurfing in my '60's from surfing and sailing my whole life. I don't need bs, smoke and mirrors or anything else.Stoked...Thank you

Shout out to Nick C., the new owner of Windance, for going the extra mile to take care of unusual situation. Long story short... I purchased some used gear back in 2020 for a trip to the Gorge, but Covid foiled the trip for 2 years. I asked the shop (under a previous owner) to re-consign some of the purchased gear but that never happened, and the gear was either lost or re-sold in the shuffle of Covid madness. Although Nick wasn't the owner of the shop when all this went down,Nick has gone the extra mile to make the situation right, and I appreciate his help with this. Thanks, Nick.

I'm really disappointed with this place. I placed an order for a Thule rack system and a box on 8/18, and was told it would be in "very quickly". I stopped by two weeks later to find that the box and crossbars were in, but nobody could figure out where the rack feet were. According to the employee, they were tracking to arrive that week and that I would get a call when they arrived. Fast forward an additional two weeks (9/14). Still no call. I decided to call them before I made the two hour round trip to Hood River again. The employee had no clue where any of my order was. After some investigating on his part, he found out that the box was sold (despite having my name on it two weeks earlier) and the cross bars were now out of stock. He offered to sell me a different more expensive box they had in stock. I cancelled my order immediately. They clearly can't deal with a simple rack order, nor can they communicate delays to customers. It's too bad because Windance was a great company back in the early 2000's.

Best Windsurf Shop EverI've been visiting Windance since 1994 and have really appreciated the quality products and service. They have great expertise on the equipment for all your questions plus a consignment area to sell or buy used gear as well. Thanks to everyone at Windance over the years, and a special shout out to Ezzy Sails! Ezzy sails are high quality and high performance. Once you sail with Ezzy sails, you'll never go back. They are the best windsurf sails made.

Great kite shop. Bought a surfboard and Windance accidentally sent the wrong fin pack(3 instead of 4). Called them and they fedexd the correct pack of fins. Got to me in 2 days(I'm in MI). Also bought a twintip from them a couple yrs ago. Just a great shop with knowledgeable guys, very fair prices and great service.

Windance is a cornerstone store in Hood River for all wind sports. The carry new and used gear for Kiteboarding, Windsurfing, Wingfoiling and Kitefoiling. I have been going to Windance since I first moved to Oregon back in 1989!!! Nightly recommended for their expertise, service and advice.

They have a great selection of used kite gear. They helped me choose out an used board, an inexpensive brand new pair of bindings, and even mounted them for me. They also allowed some negotiation on the final price which was unlike any other store in town. Highly recommend!

I love Windance! I stop by anytime I'm in Hood RIver and the team there is super helpful. Unfortunately I don't live in the area so I just ordered a board from Windance which they shipped out same day and had delviered to me super fast. I then panicked when I realized my foil base plate didn't align with the screw pattern - called Windance and they not only walked me through some simple adjustments I could make to get this to work they provided a bunch of other great advice on the board.

Called yesterday with questions about one of the used kites and spoke with Dave. I'm in Utah,they are in Hood River, OR, so swinging by to check it out was not an option. He went the extra mile- even INFLATING THE KITE and texting a video to me to show its condition, and went out of his way to get it shipped same day for me to play with this weekend. Second purchase from the shop, will not be my last! Thanks Dave, Safe Skies! 10/10 would HIGHLY recimmend!

These guys are awesome. I had never been to Windance Boardshop before today but I needed an obscure part for my flow bindings. John helped me and was very friendly and helpful. He searched for the part and, even though my bindings are more than 5 years old, found a part that would work. Then he charged my a whopping $1.80! That tells me these guys are straight shooters. It appears to me that they are passionate about what they do and sincerely want to help the community enjoy their board sport of choice. I should also add that they had great pricing on the gear I checked out. I'll be back to buy a NEW pair of bindings very soon.

Dave and Zack gave me great advice about my kiteboard choice. I demoed a 140 Mako and then talked over my experience with them. They didn't have a 150 size to demo, so Dave told me that I could buy it, use it once and return it if I didn't like the size. Turned out to be the perfect board for me and I was grinning ear to ear after my first session. I appreciated the flexibility and the tips about technique!
