The best DAY to go here, is on Sunday. Mostly because the majority of the locals aren't out and about. Sunday is church day, for the most part. But other than Sunday. This Walmart is hecka crowded, inside and out. Go early, only time of day that it's not chaotic. Like be done by 10am!

It's a Walmart, they have a great selection of pretty much anything you are looking for. Good customer service, large parking lot. You may also bring in your dog as long as on a leash.

Gentlemen at the self checkouts was extremely helpful. One of mybitems did not have the bar code on it and he showed how to find it on my phone without having to actually go get another one. Super super great customer service.

As an OTR trucker, I had to shut down here during the ice storm (01/17/2024). The store allowed many of us truckers to use the parking lot and even provided us with some drinks and snacks to help us out while we were stuck here. Awesome service and amazing staff.Thank you to the staff and management who helped us out this way. I know it may not seem like much to you, but to us, it means the world to have people treat us so well and treat us like actual human beings. You guys went above and beyond, and it is truly appreciated.

This is a very small Walmart when compared to other stores. There is no grocery and it is only able to carry a small portion of what other stores do. It’s very popular at anytime of day and is usually crowded. This Walmart serves a very large rural area so it’s understandable that it is constantly over crowded. Parking is also an issue. It’s clean and the staff that I have encountered are friendly.

Well walmart has got a little bit of everything you might need, I like their prices because their usually best price around. I've seen their people stocking their shelves at all hours so they stay pretty much well stocked, and contrary to popular beliefs they are more than willing to help you find something and friendly too.

This is not my favorite store but this is really our only option in the gorge. It’s on a smaller scale, it’s always crowded & bulk stock items always in the middle making it hard to get around when going through the main isles. I sometimes feel like I’m in the way when I go in the evening to beat the after work rush while the night shift employees are there restocking the shelves. The day time employees are nice and helpful, especially at self check out. When I check out the women’s clothing I notice that there are different merchandise mixed into the same area. I think this is due to limited space, but can he hard to find the clothing piece I am searching for that marks it’s in stock on the app. I will need to try Walmart pick up soon and update how that goes.

They are starting to lock up all the razors, lotions, deodorants, etc... and good luck getting anyone to help you in a timely manner. They also have ALL of the self checkout lanes closed off, so now it takes forever to check out even if you only have one item.

Not a "Super" Walmart, but the staff tries really hard to keep the place flowing despite the customers just throwing merchandise wherever they feel if they don't want something they picked up. It's great other than that.

Its so difficult to shop here now without self checkout and the fact that only two registers are opened most of the time, I've always used the app to pay and now thats not even working properly, so I had to go to my car to get my debit card and get back in line, next time I'm just leaving my items.

Hood River Wal Mart is well kept and organized. They have many employees on the floor who are readily available to provide service to their customers (except for a gal in the car stereo section). It's your average Wal Mart

The parking stolls should be at an angle so people can get in and out easily, having straight parking stolls doesn't help the consumer at all, if it was easier to get in and out of, then actually the store would be able to do more business just for the fact of easily turnover of the parking lot.

They had what I needed, so that was great. The manager seems to be doing a good job at keeping everyone more on task. Clearance sales are always nice. I remembered to bring my own bags. That always helps 😆 Most of the employees are very kind and helpful. It's Walmart, saves some money.

Please bring back self check out at the Hood River store. You can station an employee at each register to make sure noone is shop lifting or stealing. Please.

I like Wally World because, they have the most groceries/merchandice on my list and if one of their stores doesn't have an item, most likely, another, close by, does plus, they save me money

Perhaps it is supply chain issues but even before COVID-19, Walmart struggled to maintain adequate stock. It is about a 50/50 chance whether a particular item you might be looking for is in stock or not. Pretty frustrating if you are looking for something specific. Staffing is a challenge as well, I was looking for a particular item the website said was in stock at my local store and couldn't find it. I stopped an associate and asked if they could help me. I told them what the item was and that the website said it was in stock and they said "I don't think we have that item". We went through the fact that the website said it was in stock three times before the associate said "let's go find someone else who might know". We walked halfway around the store and they said "I guess no one is here, go to electronics and they will help you (the item was not in that department). Off I went to electronics and low and behold, no one was there. I pushed the button, waited for a few minutes and someone finally showed up. 30 seconds on their phone and they located the item for me.

Seems like this store has improved quite a bit. There's less congregation of employees watching you and more associates spread out ready to help. The pick up department works efficiently. I've yet to hear back from the corporate office as to why they gave my phone number out to their employees, they seem to have started something that they weren't willing to finish as far as I'm concerned. Their employees work very hard including the manager that was given my phone number to call me and ask me about my concerns with their store. They gave this person my phone number and she called me on her personal cell phone which was just not okay in my opinion. It was not her decision I'm sure it has nothing to do with her. But Walmart has yet to reach out and justify why they felt that was okay.

I love that there is so many options here, from household, to clothes, to hunting, and I got a few items for my dog. I also got some movies. Would have gave a five star, but I was followed the whole time by two of there employees, but besides that, I still will come again.

This had got to be one of the worst walmarts I've ever been to. But there is no other option without driving an hour so it will do. The staff are very friendly though.

Returned two new truck batteries both had not been installed in my Dodge Diesel truck both tested bad not sure how two new batteries were bad looks like Walmart has a battery problem have bought them for years not ever buying them from Walmart again

98 cents bags to bag your stuff. Oh wait, the gal said they also have 74 cent bags but they were out. And the $1.98 candy bars at check out were overpriced.We popped in for school supplies. Not the best selection.No help available and now I understand all the funny shares on social media about this place.$164.00 for similar school supplies for one child vs. $99.00 for two kids at Bimart.It may have been disappointing but an experience for the books. We were in Hood River, OR for a fun day outdoors. The smoke from fires moved us to a random and unplanned shopping experience.

Zero help inside. I asked 3 people for help trying to locate a product which the website stated was on hand...it wasn't. Employees had terrible attitudes.
