I'm done trying at this Safeway. The employees are rude and refuse to assist customers when asked. They are regularly out of common items. The recycling process is a joke at best. Most of the time, it takes 60-90 minutes from pulling up until getting your slip from the employee that does it for you behind closed doors so you can't watch. I recommend counting first and knowing exactly how many you have. I can't figure out if it's local management or regional management that's the issue. I've been a very loyal customer for over 25 years and will likely start shopping for my family elsewhere. I've just had too many bad experiences over the last few years with continuing problems not being corrected and, in some cases, getting worse. Saying anything to management just seems to fall on deaf ears.

I give the grocery store three stars due to low prices but a the same time mediocre customer service and poor effort in keeping shelves stocked. An example of this is how they card literally everyone that buys alcoholic beverages. As a man in my late 40s I would think that my now mostly grey beard is all the ID that I would need. I understand that the cashier asking me for ID is just doing their job but I cannot imagine why management would take such a non-common sense approach to preventing underage sales. As for the stocking problem, if you shop there late in the day there is a very good chance they will be out of commonly bought items. Not all of us are able to shop morning-early afternoon.I’m putting four stars since I am also a customer at their pharmacy which I would separately give five, but don’t see a separate listing on google maps. They always have my prescription ready for me and give me three months of meds at about the price I was paying for one months worth at my previous pharmacy (Walgreens).I would strongly recommend the pharmacy and am rather “meh” about the grocery store.

Don't bother asking for help with your WIC benefits. I felt like I was getting kicked out of the store from the rude cashier lady while i was asking questions. Worst part, there wasn't even a long line just me and lady who was super nice and was unbothered by the time being. Also the WIC notes under items on the shelf are inaccurate.

The “drive up and go” is a joke. Two hours past the chosen pick up time and the groceries weren’t ready. When I politely inquired as to the status of the order I was told it would be 30 more minutes and “if you know anyone who wants a job, let me know” after rudely being told to “come here” to a check out stand when the customer service was closed for the night.

Do not do pick up if you actually need groceries. They start shopping 30 minutes after the pickup time and then lie to say everything is out of stock.Not helpful to the disabled community

Was shopping at Safeway early in the evening and when I went to checkout my cart full of groceries there were no check stands open with clerks, only the self checkout stands were open. I have a physical disability making it impossible for me to use the self checkout. This was blatant discrimination by Safeway towards customers with disabilities who require help checking out! I have reported this incident to the ADA.

“Drive up and go” should be renamed to “drive up and WAIT”! You wait 30 minutes from the time you check in for them to bring your groceries out. On top of that the customer service is lack luster and most of the time you’re missing items that they charged you for.

Safeway's great it's got what I need. And I'm a vegetarian with gluten allergies. I also use the pharmacy it's a wonderful place the staff is amazing and there is a Is Wells Fargo bank inside. There are also automatic disabled drivable chairs for the handy capable. There is staff that will carry your bags out to your car for. There is a wonderful wine department and beer plus ciders. Their produce is pretty good most of the time not the most organic or locally sourced products at all. Is a wonderful bakery and a wonderful is wonderful deli along with a Mini sushi bar. Their customer service desk can take care of any of your check cashing and lottery lottery needs with 2 additional automated lottery machines and one redbox also a coin machine.

Safeway is an awesome place to shop. They go above and beyond to maintain a safe, clean and friendly environment. The prices are reasonable and they have a variety of name brand products as well as the Safeway products.When possible, I simply try to go with the Safeway brand products when I can because believe it or not it is the same product but you're not paying extra $$ for the advertised name brand products.The featured photo shows you the savings that I had with one purchase yesterday.

I live in Yakima WA. and my daughter is in Portland, Or. She was married in Parkesdale Or. 9/9/23. I ordered a wedding cake from this store and had the best experience with your cake decorator. She custom made the frosting to the perfect antique white that we wanted and showed me the box she would put it in to get it to Parkesdale. When we came to pick it up it was exactly as we wanted it and she knew I was nervous about the transport so she gave me extra frosting for any touch up I might need. I really want you to all know what a gem you have in her! Thank you so much for helping in the making of a beautiful day for us.

It’s 6pm and the lines are half way across the store. Pay people more so you can hire enough staff. This is why I rarely shop here. Frustrating!Back, unfortunately, on Jan 2. Lines to the back of the store. You can do better, Safeway. Not even rush hour time. Never again. Shopping here is like torture.

Safeway has gone bonkers checking IDs on 50, 60, 70yo customers buying beer and wine. Today they shut me down because I didn’t have an ID to buy NON-ALCOHOLIC beer. Hello Rosauers.

I Went to pick up a Doordash order at the floral department, but it was closed, to make sure that I had to drop the order, I went to customer service to see if there was anyone that could help. As I walked up to the counter I started to feel a bit uncomfortable as I’ve encountered this particular employee before, there was a male employee off to the side and a older female employee at the counter, she always has such a grumpy, rudish and faking to be friendly attitude, like she’s just tired of dealing with people. As I walked up to the counter, which was not busy, she was leaning over writing on a piece of paper and she ignored me for a good 30 seconds while the male employee also just looked away as if I wasn’t there, not even a friendly hello or how may I help you. Instead she slowly looked up at me with this stank eye like “wth are you doing here”, “what do you want” look. As I explained my situation, she explained how the florist called in that day and that nobody could help me and with her little pen pointing at me like get out there’s no order, just like ugh, I felt like I was dealing with a mean catholic school teacher, I don’t know why you have grumpy ladies with 0% customer service skills at the customer service desk.

Watch expiration dates carefully. Beware of rude and bullying cashiers - self-checkout is the least painful. This is an accumulation of numerous unpleasant experiences, which finally reached critical mass.Per the owner's suggestion, I checked their "Contact Us" options. Sending snail mail to their corporate headquarters appears to be the only choice for this. I'll pass, thank you.

Competitive pricing with Safeway Club card and great deals on some items. Friendly staff too. I just wish the lines to checkout were not so long - even the self checkout. I would recommend taking out all the lanes that are not being used and put another self checkout pod on the other side of the store. I would shop at Safeway more often if not for this hassle!

It’s Safeway, don’t expect more and you won’t be disappointed. I’d say that their produce is above average and their customer service is average. They are pretty well stocked, but it’s a bit smaller store than one you may find in the bigger cities, although I haven’t noticed them lacking anything. It’s not as clean or organized as I’d like, but not a huge deal.

Jenny helped me checkout late in the night, like 10 pm or maybe even 11. She is SO professional, knows what she's doing & knows about a lot of items there, also knows & is fast at her job as well. I love when she is my checker, & Clancy Farell as well, are my 2 favorite checkers.

Pre ordered and paid days in advance for a food platter. They decided the day of and right at pick up time, to cancel the order. This was for an event. We had one of our employees go pick it up, only for it not to be there. Horrible service all around. No explanation whatsoever. Just cancelled. We didn’t have time for a back up. This Safeway has been going downhill over the last few years.

One of the worst grocery stores I’ve experienced. The lines are almost always excessively long, and I’ve had many issues with their drive up and go service (especially with waiting for 45-60 mins and orders getting canceled).

Not a great experience here. The prices were wrong when ringing up, and the U coupons where not discoverable when scanning via the app, even though they were current. But the real problems occurred when asking for help to correct 3 pricing issues at the self checkout, the clerk was a total jerk. We resolved the 3 pricing issues after some back and forth with him leaving my checkout to service other customers in between. Overall this store does not provide the same service that I have experienced at other Safeways.

The bottle return process at this Safeway is enough to take your breath away. The area for customers literally STINKS. Almost makes me reconsider the advantage of a landfill. Come on Safeway.You're better than this.

I have worked for Safeway (East Coast) and own stocks for Safeway. I have worked in many different communities. Living on the West Coast I sadly no longer work for Safeway. I will give the customer service self checkout gentleman a 4 star for his friendly service but the cleanliness of the store and especially the bathroom was awful. I know you can do better and take pride in your store #1123. Please check your store in the evenings on a weekday store manager.

Easy in and out of you time it right. Great people, friendly. Down side, you catch things at a busy time, you will stand in line. I always remember that the cashier will be standing for some time after I leave. Then, sucks. But hood way to meet your neighbors.

This was my first visit at this particular Safeway shelves was well stocked quite a busy shopping market ... I was looking rather worn while still in my work clothes. That might of been the reason for loss prevention tailing me threw out the store not that it bothers me but the long wait at the cashier line did only three checkers was up and running in a popular grocery store many idle employees.... Training checkers might be a pluss ..
