As a professional Chef I am impressed with this place...It is everything a great supermarket should be...clean,welcoming and stocked with so many quality items.The staff was friendly and appeared to honestly enjoy working there...both the bakery/deli and the meat department were loaded with so many selections . I ran into the manager Mike P and he was incredibly helpful...Keep up the good work Rosauers! Hood River loves ya!

It’s employee owned so I feel that’s a great thing. Also they have an enormous in-store health food/sundry area called Huckleberries that has any specialty item for vegans or those with strict dietary requirements. Also handmade soaps and refills of things like shampoo etc that you bring your own container to save on plastic waste.The prices may be higher than say Walmart but they are competitive with the other stores in the area. And there’s always so many things to see.They have a spectacular bakery and I only buy my cakes etc from there and the Christmas shortbread cookies are very similar to my mom and grandma’s recipes.They have a great deli, meat counter, flowers and plants, bakery with everything from cookies to specialty delights.I really love the store and I don’t go often because it is out of my way, but they have yearly specials on many essentials like meat (which they are known for superior meat) and canned goods and cereal along with many others.Produce section is also top notch.Also they have bulk foods too, and often items that are difficult to find some places.Employees are also happier, I can see it being a store employee myself but at a different, more corporate location. Might have to relocate.

This is a very nice grocery store with everything you need. They have a very cool section in the frozen seafood area where you can scoop up various seafood you want like small calamari piece or breaded shrimp. They also have a very good protein powder selection. And there's plenty fo self check out if you don't want to wait inline for a cashier. Prices are good and there's a lot of parking in this shopping center parking lot.

Beautiful big store. There is also an entire section for all your natural food needs. Very well organized and clean. Shelves are stocked full for a great selection of foods.

Great variety of products, lots of healthy options, great deli/bakery section, and while prices are slightly higher than Safeway I consider the quality of the products and excellent customer service to give this place the edge between them and the competition.

Water machine needs an update or the water tank,After 10 gallons of water you need to wait 4 minutes to filtered another gallon of water, every 4 minutes x 1 gallon, to much waste of time

Great array of options, brands, price points. Good sales. I love their butcher case. Rosauers has the best bakery in the Gorge, IMHO. They carry local brands, like Blue Bus and fruit from local orchards. Huckleberries Natural Foods dept has SO many terrific items I appreciate being able to source. Helpful staff. Clean store.

Huge store with lots of options, fresh baked items, natural foods, and deli. Worth the drive up the hill, because there is literally nothing this good further east for a long, long, long time.

Incredibly expensive and use this store only for a matter of convenience for small items and by chance that something might be reasonably priced on sale. Can do much better using Safeways app and loading up on as much as you can at Walmart. Attitude of help is spotty. Somedays tolerable other days downright surley.

We drive 45 minutes to do our shopping at Rosauers. We've developed relationships with many of the employees. They're always super friendly and super helpful.

Between the variety across the entire store and the ease of their self checkout; this store is by far the stress free way to go. The store is extremely dependable, you can always count on plenty of products available. It's not like the Big name grocery stores around here with hellacious lines spilling into the isles. Unfortunately you don't see the friendly faces we've grown to know and love as much as time goes on.I've been profiled twice in a month by newer management. Never in 28 years have I been harassed or treated poorly until this last year.I try to avoid going in at night if I can due to the newer staff.

Rosauer's buys directly from local farmers. Their produce is fresh and the quality is excellent. Their Deli makes delicious soups, fresh salads, and a variety of choices to accommodate a wide range of omnivors. Vegetarians and vegans have plenty of choices also. It is a favorite "go to" for a quick lunch and I recommend it. Another big PLUS is the Natural Food Section inside of the store - Huckleberries - this section is large enough to carry a good selection of natural foods, vitamins, dog and cat food, personal care items, frozen foods, candles, soaps. Incense, ear candles, snacks, and about anything you might need, including toilet paper. Check it out and you'll be surprised at the selection they have.

Its o k,staff is nice and understanding but the other customers remind me why i hate going,people like off the clock and former staff always seem to meet in the isles and block the way and end up being rude like your in the wrong while simultaneously being a nuisance catching up in the very limited space. They really shouldn’t be letting people block isles to catch up it’s rude and tests people’s restraint.

Always a great place to stop to stock up before a day of being outside. Friendly staff, clean facilities, nice selection of staples and unusual fair. Prices can be a bit higher than at the big boxes, but I don't do my weekly here, so it's not that much of a concern for me.

Encounter with not one but two rude employees at the front. Now I understand why they seem to be desperately hiring. It seems that management has changed. I used to shop here all the time because it’s closer to home but I well be shopping somewhere else from now on. Rude customer service and the employees don’t even approach you when they’re checking your items out instead they’re talking to the person working next to them. Well not be coming back.

I have always loved rosauers' bakery over any other place in Hood River County. I love the produce section, meat section, and everything pretty much when I do shop there. This is the only place that I order my children's birthday cakes from, and they are always amazing.

Big store, big inventory, but also expensive. I find their prices a bit higher then most. If you catch a sale prices are much better.
