Enjoyed the 10 cider flight - loved the mini glasses! Not all the ciders were winners, but worth tasting them all! Nice patio to sit on with beautiful scenery and views.

Personally, I love Fox Tail cider. Their peach (Fuzzy Haven) got me into cider several years ago when all I'd tried was Angry Orchards.Today, I finally made it in to their tasting room. I got a full flight of 10 ciders. We loved almost all of them. The Fuzzy Haven (peach), Go-Pucker (mango/lemon), Melon B-lander (melon/basil), and Painless Pineapple (...pineapple) were our favs!We brought a few games with us (although they have games there!!!) and settled in to sip and relax.10/10 will go again!

Charming little tap room with interesting ciders like pineapple and jalapeño or rose petal and apple. We did a flight and the portions were more than enough for two to share. Customer service was top notch. Only complaint we had was the ciders we loved had not been bottled yet and being from out of town a growler wouldn’t have been good by the time we got back.

Fox Tail Cider & Distillery was such a treat, we decided to get a sample tray of 10 different ciders made in their onsite distillery, this place is a must if your touting the fruit loop

Unique variety of hard ciders which you can pick your own flight to taste. It ranged anywhere from dry to sweet, fruity to tart, and bold to light. It was fun to taste all the variations and you can take some of it home. They also have light food to offset all that alcohol which was also tasty. The tasting room is a bit small so if it's a busy weekend you may not get in. Its worth trying it if you can. They also have a bar in downtown Hood River which I did not get to but it is an alternative if this location is packed.

Rick is the best employee there!! I came in and he recommended the Rick special and I was in love. He was super kind and considerate and the ciders and brandys were absolutely delicious. Will be back again!!

We arrived at the distillery right after a duck flew into our SUV. Scared us to pieces and we were ready for some drinks. We took the suggestions from the bar staff. But then we also got a pretzel. I'm not sure if it was the duck-shock, or maybe I was hungrier than I thought...but that warm pretzel with cheese and mustard was truly the best thing I've tasted in a long time. The ciders were perfect to wash it down with. Yummers. Just as we started to get pretty comfortable, a man walked in and asked to join us. Turns out it was Mr. Fox himself. If you ever see him, snag him and make him sit with you. He provided us with so much amazing history and stories of the happenings around the area. A super friendly, down-to-earth, intelligent, entertaining person. We thoroughly enjoyed our time here with Mr. Fox and loved his black lab. This is one place on my list to return to!!

Excellent stop if you're out for apples during the seasons. Between September and November are great times to go and get the apple cider season feelings. It's located in the farm land of Hood River, which adds to it's charm. We went on a Saturday in early November. Unfortunately, there was only one employee working. She had to make the food as well as pour the ciders for everyone. So, when we ordered food, she warned that she was the only one here so the food may take a little longer. As soon as we sat down, another 10 people showed up, which slowed down the time quite a bit.But we were able to sit in the corner with our 4 year old and play board games which were provided. It was a fun little time. The cider was excellent, as expected. I had the Skylander. Very delicious. 9.5%.The food didn't come out too slow, for all she had to work with. The Spicy Hen sandwich was pretty good. Definitely greasy, but good food of you're looking for that kind of intake. There are other options if something like that doesn't appeal.I asked for a side salad rather than potato chips, and it came out with potato chips. No big deal to me though. I understand service and she had her hands full. No reason to make a fuss. Others may not feel that way though. If you're out and about, definitely stop by, down seasons or not. Hopefully they'll at least have two people working at once, and this time was a one-off.

I really loved some of the ciders offered. The staff were a bit aloof and not entirely clear in their explanations of my questions. I did end up buying the butter cider which is delicious.

The smells alone are worth the visit. This place had wonderful produce and a very comfy atmosphere. Barn meets backyard. The ciders here were wonderful some classics and a lot of adventure in their recipes. We did the flight of all of them and had a great time sharing it and reading the well worded descriptions. This place also offers some awesome home made spirits available in cocktails. This is a must visit in the orchard country, great way to experience the fruit of this beautiful area

Visited on 10/4/2020.Service was “eeeh”. Not friendly... didn’t get greeted... the lady pouring just seemed like she didn’t want to be there lolPricing was fair.Cider has an odd taste to me and all of the other people I was with. The aftertaste is what we didn’t all like. Def would go back to the Gorge White House again next time for better tasting cider.

This place is great. All the ciders are brewed on site and have a great variety. Also the patio has gas fire places for colder weather and is dog friendly!

Absolute trash of a company. You sell Groupons that have expiration dates but then you also close for entire season so people can't actually use them? Absolute scum.

Server was very nice. However the ciders are very yeasty with a funky taste. Our group tried all of them. If this was your first cider tasting, you would never try cider again.

Absolutely awesome cider place. Small cozy spot. Every product was fantastic. We got the spirit flight and a couple of ciders. The spirits were their own twist on them. Including the fruits grown in the orchard in the spirits. The vodka had a berry flavor that was very unique. The butter tail cider was the absolute best cider I've tasted in a long time. All the flavors were bold and they worked. Not to sweet and not to dry. Definitely going to be coming back here on the weekends

This was a fun place to stop and try some cider. I thought the prices where pretty good for the flights. The food was a bit pricy but the pretzel we ordered was good. The outside tables were dirty though and nobody came to wipe them down the entire time we were there. The oddest thing though was the man who drove up and then stopped by our table to chat. He then came back out with a mug of cider and offered it to us. We declined and he eventually went to another table and offered it to them. We found out later this was the owner. The encounter would have had a much different feel if he'd only introduced himself!

AVOID-AVOID-AVOIDWe have been coming for a couple years....we loved the food the cider and the cocktails and the dog friendly patio BUT today....We returned and were incredibly dissatisfied and disappointed. What happened to this place? The cider was just ok but the cocktail was sorely disappointing. An alcoholic beverage is supposed to...hmmmm...have alcohol? I went back in to ask for more alcohol to my drink. They did add a little but I never felt that summer afternoon cocktail feeling! It was a very expensive soda. Our food came and BOY DID I INSTANTLY REGRET my order. The $17 sausage didn't even come with a bun!!! But a baggie of pre-packaged chips. OH NO! NO! NO! So then we ordered a basket of chips and salsa to share. BOY, WAS THAT YET ANOTHER TERRIBLE IDEA. I didn't ask for Tortilla chips and chutney. How can you go wrong with salsa....toooo much sugar!!! Not savory but sweet like thick, pectin JAM!!! TERRIBLE. People were sharing flights and leaving them unfinished. Not worth the stop keep going to the next restaurant up the road in a white house. This place was a terrible idea and gone down hill and an expensive tourist trap. AND YES WE ACTUALLY TOLD THE MANAGER AND SHE COULD HAVE CAREDLESS AND OFFERED NO APOLOGY. We will never return. The little market next store is way over priced too. And after tasting the jam in the salsa...way too sweet. -AVOID-AVOID-AVOID-

Pretty decent cider. I got the full sampler flight. I expected at least one very sweet and one very dry, but they were all pretty mid range. Still, a lot of them were pretty tasty. Lil pucker was my favorite. The food was well executed, but way overpriced. Two slices of deli meat in a ciabatta and frozen fries ain't worth 14.

Meh. Roadside stand vibe. Tiny indoor bar with a decent cider selection but not living up to what you’d expect in wine country. Only worthy of you really like cider. Outdoor seating is next to main road and it’s truck and car noise. Otherwise, skip it for actual wineries which are plentiful and nearby.

Wonderful little cidery. They have a great selection of different ciders to try, a few beers on tap, and some tasty distilled spirits.

If you're willing to take a short drive outside of the main Hood River drag, this place delivers a great selection of ciders for every palate. Very good cider with board games, Cornhole, and a pleasant atmosphere. Will definitely be back.
