This place is spacious and has a variety of meats. The quality looks to be pretty good and fresh. One of the items I like from here is the jalepeno cheddar pepperoni sticks. It's definitely worth a try.

The Cafe: The sandwiches and the breakfast burrito are really good! They’re not overwhelmed with condiments so that you can actually taste the ingredients.The Butcher Shop: smoked pork chops 12/10!! You don’t need to add anything to it because it has so much flavor. And the pepperoni sticks are so good too!

One of my absolute favorite places for breakfast, lunch and for picking up meat to make dinner. Their breakfast burrito is colossal and packed with flavor and meat. It comes with sour cream and an amazing salsa. Oh the salsa! So flavorful and delicious, it has a sweetness to it that reminds me of sun dried tomatoes. Their Ruben sandwich is out of this world as well. Honestly can’t go wrong with ordering pretty much anything from here. The butcher shop is also pretty fantastic. I have ordered most of the items in the shop, and have been pleased with the meat quality every time. Don’t forget - you can call in your order ahead!

The Ruben Sandwich, I can say without doubt was the best I’ve ever eaten. Packed full of beautiful ingredients.Good and friendly service. Although very very busy, the waiting time wasn’t too long. I’ll definitely be back to try more great looking food.The butchery just across the way is also a star attraction. I’ll review once if purchased. They sell A5 Wagyu at a reasonable price.

Wow. What an assortment of beef, pork, and chicken. Not too much on the exotic side. Pleasant staff, fast service. Smoked salmon dip is good. Bought some smoked bratwurst, good too. Nice assortment of steaks. Twice baked potato looked like the only vegetarian option.

This is not your average mystery sourced, stored in plastic and foam meat from the chain grocery store. The Meating Place brings back the local shopping experience of going to the neighborhood butcher. If you are a carnivore or have meat eating friends, this is the place. They have extremely high standards for meat sourcing as well as cleanliness. They carry everything from deli style sandwich meats to lamb and things like smoked sausages, aged steaks, and even wild game such as elk & rabbit. They even carry dog food. You may find other goodies like local eggs and milk and a variety of seasonings. They also offer processing services. Their cafe is located next door if you want to grab a quick bite. I was able to make some delicious recipes from what I purchased. This is a great opportunity to spend money and eat locally and to know where your food comes from.

I have really enjoyed watching them grow their business over the years. Great butcher with great meat and great service. Do plan to spend more here but it's the best in the area and very consistent. Will continue to come back.

Maybe I should get a job here so I can bring some meat home everyday, literally will work for food ….We got a pork shoulder to smoke and boy this is probably the most tender juicy pulled pork we have ever ate and made, the quality of the meat here is to die for.Great selection of cuts, clean store and friendly staff, it’s probably a good thing I don’t live near by or I’d go in everyday!

This place is amazing. The butcher shop is next level with its cured meats, jerky, pepperoni sticks, gorgeous cuts of meat, prepared goods- enchiladas, twice baked potatoes, stuffed chickens… the list goes on and on. I was like a kid in a candy store. My only comment is- the jalepeno cheddar pepperoni stick ate one of the most delicious things I’ve ever eaten. I recently went and bought 20 sticks o my to discover they changed the formula to extra spicy and added giant red pepper flakes. This is a big miss for me. The cheddar jalepeno was perfectly balanced and so delicious. Now it has so much heat that you can’t even enjoy the other flavors! Go back to the original formula, you had it perfect!

Average burger…. I know it sounds strange but the patty was dry inside but the burger was oily. ….I don’t know how that works! No flavor also. I was disappointed after hearing so many good things. Maybe I just ordered the wrong thing - will give them another try for sure.

This place is amazing! A friend told us about it and WOW! They have so much, even whole rabbit. We really loved the veal chops, feta chicken sausage and steaks we bought. Didn’t love the Mediterranean lamb sausage. Delightful other purchases includes seasonings and some awesome wine selections! We brought a cooler and filled it up; worth the drive out to this place!

My wife and I visited the butcher shop because I was on the lookout for polish sausage. We found it here, along with some delicious sauerkraut. The kielbasa was perfect and very well priced! The staff was very friendly and helpful as well. We'll definitely be returning!

Love this place. The meat quality is outstanding and the owners are sweet as can be. I wish more people would get their meat here than the plastic fake shiz walmart tries to sell you. The taste n texture alone is worth the extra few bucks. I rather rat here once a month then get 3 meals of meat from.a chain store. ❤️❤️❤️

2022/8/21 OMG, Last time we were at this place was pre-pandenic - the Cafe & Butcher shop was in one building.Love the new Cafe - lots of eating and waiting space inside & outside. We each ordered a burrito - Original & Bbq Pulled pork. (NOTE: dont forget to get a burrito rewards card.) Glad they cut them in half as they are humongous & very yummy. We took the other half for dinner tonight or maybe lunch tomorrow. We ordered a large container of smoked gouda mac & chez (saw lots of great reviews) for takeout to go with our leftovers.Very happy with our timing (about 10ish). While we're eating our food, a lot of people are coming in & we can hear a lot announcements for online orders.Added bonus - very clean restrooms and lots of parking for each building.After brunch, we walked over to the huge building next door - the Butcher shop. Very clean and organized. So much choices of meats and cooking supplies. Will definitely come back to shop.

My number one place to go for all of my meats. They have great choices of cuts and their quality of meat is like no other. The prices are great, and you get exceptional service. The staff and owners are always great to work with.

Good and bad with the butcher shop and cafe. My wife and I had a deer we took into the butcher shop in late October 2023. The other butcher shops we usually use were all full and didn't have room for our deer. This place had room for our deer so we went with it.First thought when we first got there is that the place is nice, and was also busy. This is a good thing to me as it shows people like it. We figured that when the deer was ready to pick up, we'd try out the cafe and some meat from the shop.It took about 6 weeks or so for our deer to be ready for pick up. That seems about average. We got there and tried out the cafe first. The cafe was rather expensive, but busy, so it has to be good, right? We thought it was horrible! Not sure what the hype is about?We then went into the shop to take a look at some meat before picking up our deer. We decided to try some elk pepperoni sticks, which was $15 a pound. My wife tried it first and gave a funny face, and right back out it came. She said it's not good and very gamey. I took a bite and holy crud that's the worst elk I've ever tasted! Waste of money!After that, we went to the back to get our deer meat. After trying the elk pepperoni sticks, I was very nervous as to what our deer meat was going to taste like. We went in to get our deer and get the price and pay. Price for the deer was good compared to other places. Cleanliness looked to be much better than other places and customer service everywhere there was good.They brought our meat out and we got approx. 37 pounds or so of meat back out of a 70 something pound deer. Seemed a bit light on the return. Packaging on the meat and pepperoni sticks were great and much better than other butcher shops.As soon as we got home, we immediately tried the pepperoni sticks and put some burger in the skillet. Thankfully, they were both very good!So all in all there were ups and downs for us. We will definitely take our wild game there again. But we will not buy meat out of the shop nor will we eat at the cafe again.

I was surprised at how disappointing it was. Given the reviews, I expected so much...it was very busy (35 min wait), but the French Dip and Ruben we ordered were the driest we've ever had.For the French Dip the bread quality was good and the Au Jus was decent, but the beef was not tender but tough and dry.The Ruben was much the same, good bread, but no dressing and very dry corned beef.With the reviews either we got unlucky or our tastes don't align to the clientele. It's hard to say but this was greatly disappointing aside from the Gouda Mac and Cheese.

Always a pleasant place. People are super friendly and appear to enjoy their work. The meat choices and prices are spot on. Sometimes they feel higher but it's a superior product and what doesn't feel higher now anyway.

This was my first time visiting the Meating Place and I like the aura of the shop, it's clean and we'll kept with a large variety of meats and other confections. I tried the regular and Elk pepperoni Sticks, the jerky, and chorizo, typically I am pretty critical of jerkys but I must admit that their jerky has a unique flavor profile and very tasty. I really like the chorizo and would consider this my favorite. I prefer the Elk pepperoni stick over the the regular. I would also give the sticks a thumbs up....I will definitely go back to sample more of the merchandise!

Amazing locally grown beef, poultry, and bacon. Their homemade dogs/sausages are the best! A great place for hunters to take their game for butchering and finishing.They have some homemade ready-to-bake dishes like twice baked potatoes, chicken enchiladas, meatloaf, and others. Definitely worth a visit at least once a month to see what's new!

I subbed cooked spinach for swiss. Best Patty melt I've ever had. Vet prepared raw dog food $4 a lb. No one can beat that. Worth the ten mile drive.

Picked up a pair of their dry aged steaks. Fantastic cuts and wonderful flavor. I will be coming back here for sure.The Cafe of the same name makes for a delicious lunch spot just across the parking lot.

A butcher shop with a cafe? Aw heck yeah!We had the steak sandwich special, the turkey bacon avocado, and the macaroni salad. Delicious! These sandwiches did not disappoint: the special was amazing, the steak was perfect and the bread wasn't chewy or too crunchy, the tba was heavenly, maybe a smidge too much honey but it didn't take away from the sammy as a whole. We're going to be back just for the complex and comforting mac salad, it stole the show.We'll probably just try everything, eventually. Dine in or order out, they're ready. We stood in front of the prep window with our 18mo old watching the staff make everything; the staff were very focused on their jobs, seemed to work well together, following all applicable guidelines (if that's important to you), and still made time to wave at little dude. We'll be back, a lot!

Pretty great meat market! Lots of options here. The prices arent too bad either for what they offer. It's far out of my way, but I really like making the trip out. Everyone is very friendly too.
