The selection is fantastic! From hunting to fishing to camping, they have pretty much everything, and they're close by. Their staff is very down to earth and helpful. However, there are 2 downsides. First, they are out of items frequently (typically the item you want most). Second, if you want the gun counter, prepare to spend up to an hour or two. You'll almost always be waiting quite a while. Once you get service, though, they're great and worth the wait. I go here when I want to burn some time looking at my favorite goodies. If Sportsman management reads this, add gun counter staff. Those poor folk are worked to death and customers are waiting forever. Otherwise, great store!

I was happily surprised to see items that are normally locked up (such as knives) at other stores are not, making purchases swift. Their hiking boots have astoundingly high prices, but perhaps it may be that I haven't shopped around enough.

Horrible customer service when it comes to a grieving widow. My husband shipped a gun to this store on 1/27 and picked it up on 1/28. He shot himself that night. As the shock has worn off I wanted to ask the process of obtaining a gun in Oregon to help me process his timeline of how long he had been planning this for. When I said what happened I did not get an apology or condolences for my loss. All the employee said was they just do the background check that is it. I thanked them for the information. At the end of the call I was told to "have a good one". I was in shock and responded he shot himself, I can't. A little compassion to someone who is just trying to get answers would have gone a long way. I understand everything was done legally, but to show zero compassion is disgusting.

I will NEVER shop here again. Rude customer service reps. I was followed around the entire time by an employee and not once did she ask me if I needed help, she was more concerned of theft then asking me if I needed help. My husband and I were there to make a big purchase, but ended up leaving and going to a competitor because of the way she made me feel. Out of 10 employees, not 1 asked us if we needed help. We will NEVER shop here again.

there was an error when paying by card (I used 3 different cards) and I paid in cash. As it turned out later, the funds were withdrawn from the cards. When two days later I went to the store with this problem, they gave me the phone number of the online store - they said that they would solve my problem there. but when I called they sent me back to the store. the second time the administrator decided to help me, they took my data and promised to return the money to my cards within 3-5 days. I’m waiting.. I wasted my time, I paid 5 times for the product, the staff doesn’t care about the customers, do you want problems? shop in this store. 7 working days have passed. I never got my money back. :-(≈the problem is not in my payment cards, but in your equipment (cash register #1 did not print the receipt 4 times), the manager promised to return the funds within 3-7 business days. but the money was never returned. For my Sportsman's - FRAUD. I lost 159.96$ 😞

When you go into locate specific high-end Optics and I have after calling two times received assurances that they had one item in stock. I asked for them to hold it for me that I would be coming in. I got the name of the sales associate. By the way I actually gave them the stock number and they read it back to me. When I got in the person that was waiting on me in the Optics Department, more specifically Leopold, started telling me that they may not have the item, it may be as the show, it may have been sold. I said well it will be on your stock list. To his credit he brought me out for options but none of them or what I wanted or at the price quoted. I kept hearing, I'm sorry. Now I can see if I was on the phone and that he said I'm sorry sir we do not have this item. But to make two phone calls and come over only to fight nothing, well, that needs more than what I received. To say I was unhappy, well this is one of the worst retail experiences I've ever had. I gave them the name of the person who quoted me the item and I heard nothing but crickets. I did speak to the day manager as the store manager was at the Sportsman's show at the expo. The manager gave me the name and number and said that the manager would be calling me. Well, that never happened. To the credit of the assisted store manager she did locate something online for me which is what I wanted but it was not at the price point. I also wanted to buy something directly from the store and not something like an optic which has been mailed to me with all the jostling this item may get. Generally at the 82nd Street store I have received much better customer service unfortunately the one at the Beaverton store at the Leopold store was what I would call substandard at the very least. Only one other experience I have other had was at a fisherman's Delta Park where the store nights manager was something akin to a donkey's tail section have I ever received such treatment. I spend a lot of money at these places but I'm going to have to pick and choose a little tighter on where I spent my money and where I make my returns LOL. One bad experience does not wreck everything but we live and die by our treatment of customers in the social media Marketplace. Whomever the fellow was who gave me the bad advice on the optic obviously needs a little bit of training

They have a lot of everything for the outdoors man or woman. Extensive fishing supplies and live baits. Then we worked our way to the guns, yes they have them and had the Henry lever action I want but wrong caliber. Ammo selection is extensive. Then you work the the second half of the store where you find camping, cooking and water sports. They do have it all. Location is great for us in this area. Prices were acceptable and reasonable.

The soft plastic section was great. I wish they had more for lures and jigheads. Great selection of rods, reels, and general tackle. Fly fishing supplies are also available here.

Initially was a bit frustrated with the firearm buying process. Had to go back and forth a few times and the lines are ridiculous though not something sportsmans can control with the recent boom in gun sales. Anyway, had some address verification issues and was told some inaccurate info. Realized this after I came back the next day and Wally set things straight. He got things done efficiently and had a great demeanor. Great service and saved this place from less than stellar review. Would buy again.

Imanol helped us out at at the firearm counter and was a pleasure to speak with! I’m relatively new to firearms and have had a few experiences where I’ve been made to feel somewhat stupid for asking questions and not knowing a whole lot. Imanol was very thorough and explained everything to me very kindly, and was just a delightful dude. Thank you, Imanol!

Best prices for guns and ammo. Also there are plenty of discounts that you can get off of other items which are very cheap so it's a nice place good quality and cheap items.

This is my third time I planned of buying a fire arm and still did not change in fire arm department. Only 1 store clerk attending to customers. It was 4 people waiting for over 30 minutes. Another person keep coming in to the counter and leave. Did not even help. Why open if you can not support your customer needs. This location is in Hillsboro Tanasbourne

Absolutely love this location, the associates are always kind and provide great service even when they’re slammed. Just bought a S&W M&P9 from them and they were busy so it was a little bit of waiting and I could tell the gentleman assisting me was exhausted but he was still great and spoke with professionalism and kindness. Definitely the location I’ll continue taking my business to!

Great staff, some of the best selection I have seen in the area, and even the other customers were friendly! I will def be coming back. Rillie helped me pick out a sidearm for home defense + to have on me while hunting as well as something reliable and sturdy for cc. Extremely knowledgeable, patient, and helpful. Do call in and schedule an appointment. Drop-ins may have to wait a while.

Had an unforgettable, incredible customer service experience from an associate here who went above and beyond to help my purchase my first firearm. I want to recognise Wally, for his amazing customer service. I came in one day to get a purchasing/exchange situation handled. Over the phone, a different associate gave me an straightforward answer, but when I showed up in person, I met Wally who questioned about the answer I got over the phone from a different associate, and he wanted to make sure I got the right answer. So, he took time for me and wanted to make sure to try to find the right answer by asking multiple managers for me about a unique situation I was in. I felt that he truly cared about me because, he took time to understand my situation and tried his best to help. The other day, when I went to my appointment for the background check and purchase of a firearm, a different associate was helping me and was close to selling me a firearm from the display unit because they couldn't find any in the back stock, but Wally recognised me and was next to them serving another customer, and Wally swooped in to let the associate know there was actually some in the back stock, which might have been hard to find. Wally was right and I was able to get an brand-new firearm that hasn't been touched! He also made remembered my situation and made sure to communicate it with the associates. There is a lot more I can tell you about my wonderful experience with Wally. I just wanted to say this is one of the most memorable and greatest customer service experience I have had. Thank you, Wally!

Great customer service, a large variety of firearms and fire arm accessories. Also offer concealed carry classes. Best place to get a hunting or fishing license, they don't charge the petty .50 cents 😂.
