Dr. Healy is like the Dr. House of dogs. She is a diagnosis genius. And the vet techs are great - you can tell they really love animals. The front desk staff are also great to work with. The pricing reflects the quality of service.

Cancellation policy is draconian. I was in the hospital and unable to attend an appointment with only 24hrs notice. They charged my credit card $100. I decided to cancel my other dogs appointment with 5 days notice. They charged my credit card another $100. These guys are crooks. Easily the most expensive vet in the area. A basic check up for my dog was $600. I wouldn’t recommend these crooks to anyone.

Dr. Healey and her staff has been awesome in helping us with our sick dog for the past few months. Our regular vet closed their practice and we were referred here. Everyone was very compassionate and helped us get him in despite their busy schedule. Thank you from Samson 🐶❤️

The staff and vets here are always helpful, often going out of their way to help with my cat. He's a sweetie at home but will bite and scratch the vet. They helped get him to where I can take him in with confidence that he won't bite or be mean! They're very thorough, and their care plan is -so- worth it, even without much need to go in. I love these guys and highly recommend them.

I was originally estimated $540 with a $100 deposit to have my cat spayed and do her pre-checkups. When I paid at each pre-visit the totals were $190 and $370 so I thought we were paid in full and ready to do the procedure however when I came for the spay I was informed that it would be an additional $540+. I realize misunderstandings happen but when I explicitly verbally verify that the total that I have here in writing will in fact be the total without any mention of added costs on the first visit then to have the price suddenly double and told I'm out the deposit and testing fees unless I go ahead with a $1000+ spay on the 3rd visit feels like nothing short of dishonest and bad faith busines practices. Made even worse when I was adamantly told that a 3rd party employee who wasn't even in the room "definitely told me the pricing" based on what IDK because my conversation with them and this estimate in my hand don't reflect it. I also didn't appreciate being told that I wasn't allowed in the building because I don't have my covid vaccine on my first visit which makes me wonder if going over the quote in the parking lot is why the actual total pricing with the pre-checkups was never relayed to me until I had committed to their service and showed up for the final visit.

Nooow i understand why people wait so long to get their dogs neutered. the next available appointment is SIX MONTHS OUT! but My big crazy dogs loved them! I had questions regarding some charges after I had a chance to review them and Liz was super helpful and great over the phone!

Dr. Healy is incredibly intelligent and genuine. She truly wants to help your pet and will go "above and beyond" to ensure she provides thorough and comprehensive plans of treatment. Because of this, please be patient and allow enough time for appointments. They may be a tad longer than expected. As a veterinary professional myself, I highly advise you take advantage of the full visit giving your dog the gift of assured health! Allow Dr.Healy to fully examine physical health and please budget in advance for diagnostics. . Only with testing and exam, can you get an accurate picture of how your pet is doing. You will not be disappointed and you may just catch a disease process early, lengthening your pets life. 😉

My dog had an anal gland infection which caused it to burst. My normal vet couldn’t fit my dog in that’s day and said I had to take him to the ER. The two ERs I was given, one was permanently closed and the other never answered the phone. After calling 6 other vets with no luck Hillsboro was able to squeeze my poor dog in. The staff and the vet was great. They were patient and very kind. My dog was treated and is now recovering well. We are grateful to the whole staff.

The staff here is inconsistent. You don’t see the same vet each visit and they tend to contradict each other. Additionally their front desk staff has some issues. One is very nice (hence the second star) but the other was rude during every interaction. She acted as if my wife and I were stupid. On top of that, they want you to bring your pet in every two months even when they are healthy and don’t need to be seen. They wouldn’t allow us to pick up more flea/worm/tick meds without an appointment with the vet. And when our dog had issues due to the double dosing they gave him (over lapping flea/worm/tick meds) they said they couldn’t help and we needed to go to an animal hospital instead. We will never be back. We will never recommend them.

This vet really screwed me over. I came in with the expectation of getting just my kittens vaccines, and they went ahead and did multiple tests without asking me, and I was expected to pay over $200. If they would’ve let me know ahead of time I wouldn’t be so angry. They should not be allowed to do things to my animal without my consent. I will never be going back. They also tried to shame me for what I feed my pet because it’s not their recommended garbage. Terrible way to run a vet.

I have taken our guinea pigs here twice. I feel the front office staff could be a little bit more welcoming and the support staff could be more knowledgeable, therefore I have given only 4 stars. I do really like Dr. Surrency. She is very personable, compassionate and knowledgeable. She even gave our piggies kisses! Besides her obvious affection and care for our pets, she also interacts really well with my children. Their visit charges are comparable to other clinics in our area. As far as their location, it is easy to get to if coming from the west side of Hillsboro. I would appreciate it if parking were better accessed and demarcated. When we have to hand carry our little family members, I don't want to have to trek a block to the clinic. The two times we were there, I felt like I was maybe parking in a neighboring business' lot, but it wasn't clearly defined. I do like the clinic and Creamer and Swirl will continue to get their care there.

What an excellent experience! They actually take appointments, I got to come into the exam room with my cat, the staff and doctor took an interest in my cat as an individual, and the doctor (who I actually got to meet, unlike at some clinics) was fantastic!

My Standard Poodle of 13 years has received amazing care with great communication every step of the way. I always know what costs, considerations, and care look like for every recommendation.Having a sick animal is stressful at any time, but the staff was good about realizing that they weren't just treating an animal. They checked in need regularly and continue to communicate. I would recommend them to anyone.

Last week I took my 14 year old lab to HVH for the first time. He was not acting like himself. We have recently moved to Hillsboro and I did not want to travel to our former vet's office. Our dog was diagnosed with a critical, dangerous, inoperable, tumor. HVH was able to run all needed tests by end of day and called us with the results. The knowledgeable, caring staff kindly warned us of the probable diagnosis and our choices should the results be as expected. They gave us the information we needed to make the right decision for our pet and without judgement or insistence, were willing to share their recommendations and opinions with us. We returned two days later and HVH assisted us in saying goodbye to our best friend. They were kind, caring, and efficient. They helped us, but even more importantly they did everything they could to ensure our dog was comfortable and not afraid. So grateful to this team.

I took my puppy to her first visit last week. The staff was really nice and made sure to answer any questions I had regarding my puppy's health. She got some shots and left very happy. Would totally recommend!

Dr Healey is a great vet! She gave me wonderful advice about my kitties and informed me of the many warning signs when cats aren't feeling well (since they are so good at covering up their illnesses until it's too late.) The vets themselves call for a follow-up on how your pet is doing; I very much appreciate that.Vets are expensive. Animals don't have the many insurance policies that humans do, but their lives depend on the ones who care for them. I'm very glad I found this clinic for my family members.

I called knowing it was a long shot that they had an appointment but asked anyways, the lady on the phone said no .Like I said I knew that was a long shot but asked if they do emergency services. The lady said sometimes but today they are leaving early and then giggled. Why on Earth would you laugh at someone who just asked about emergency services for their pet? I hope this person felt terrible afterwards but I kinda doubt it. Having empathy and professionalism goes a long way. My dog needed to be admitted for over two days at a different vet clinic, so clearly he needed help. I will never forgive this person nor recommend this place to anyone looking for help.

I took my Chloe in with an eye injury. I called the night before frantic and promptly received a call the next morning telling me to bring her in. Everyone at the office was so nice and friendly. Dr was so loving towards my pup. Loved it so much I brought my other pup in for her yearly exam. So happy for google and finding this office.

We have been taking our dogs here for years and have always been impressed with the care we have received from Dr. Huff and her staff.The prices are super reasonable (compared to other chain type vets in the area) and they don't make you feel bad or pressure you if you decide to wait on a service that's recommended due to either cost or necessity.We have two chihuahuas who are not easy to handle and need to be given Benadryl before even a nail trim. They always handle our Beverly and Peyton with lots of care and patience.Absolutely stellar service and we will continue to come here forever!

There used to be an excellent vet here. However now the clinic suffers from having a vet who is incompetent to say the least! First she charges my parents (victims of the Paradise fire) for a heart worm test and the medications that can only be taken IF the dog test negative for the test. She should have ran the test first then charged her for the medication if he could take it!!! Then, she calls to say he tested Negative for a biopsy that they a week later say the sent the wrong sample... And in fact your dog does have mast cell cancer! Seriously, everyone makes mistakes but this is too much! Plus she says there is no charge but never reverses the or provides a refund of the charges! This entire visit should be free to say the least. DON'T go here!!! Find a vet who is careful and dilegent with your animals health and considers your pocket book!
