I give this Safeway a three star review for these exact reasons.The bakery fresh full size cakes didn’t have very many options BUT the small boxes of leftover cakes were plentiful.I felt that the customer service was quite lacking. He did not bag our groceries for us, or even offered to help with the with our take out.However, I did find a place to be very clean with plenty of fruits and vegetables

Disappointing shopping day today. One of the items that was on sale has been out of stock the 4 days that I was in there. Refused to give a raincheck. Nothing on the app or posted in the store indicated that would be the case. Asking questions to the checker, her comment was "I'm not going to argue with you I'm just an employee" along with that she was just plain rude. I will wait in an hour long line before ever going through Chelci's isle again. She needs to find a new profession outside of the public eye.

A little frustrated with the pharmacy. My family had appointments to get immunizations. I even made an appt for a 3rd person the day of the appointments. We drove from Boardman only to find out that the pharmacy was closed for the day and no one thought to call those who had appointments scheduled. It would have not been a problem at all if we had been notified. It was a little annoying to pack the kids up and drive 30 min for no reason though.To clarify, we had an appt scheduled for 11/18 a week or so in advance. It was a day that the pharmacy was supposed to be open, but was closed for an unknown reason. When we arrived, there was a handwritten paper stating the pharmacy was closed and would reopen the following day. The issue was not that they had to close, it was that we were not notified of the closure when we had an appt scheduled for that day.

Review is for the deli. I had an 8 pc chicken meal door dashed as I have a sick little one at home. We got 4 legs and 4 thighs. I checked the receipt 3 times to make sure I didn’t order all dark. I called the store to explain and his answer was “that’s all I had at the time”. Ummm.. we pay more to have breasts. The dark is cheaper and some of us at home don’t like dark meat. So I asked if I was going to get a refund of any kind since I didn’t get what I paid for. Got a “sorry” And that’s it. Recommend watching what you’re getting or don’t bother. I’ll be calling back Monday for the store manager. Customer service has gone in the hole

The discounts are great, if you can get the app on your phone to work. Its risky to buy stuff if you're not sure whether you will get the marked down price at the check out. You won't know until all the items are scanned. The breakdown on the receipt are confusing. Its not a place to shop if you are trying to save money on shopping. Its based on my 14 years of experience living by this Hermiston Safeway. There aren't much other options here but I have issues every single time I go to this Safeway.

Pros:Butchery department will ground up your meat for free. I also was able to get cuts of meat on sale rather than choose what's already advertised in packaging. I also like their Signature Selects pizza; I haven't found a frozen pizza that has less grease than this brand.Cons:Self-checkout can be a issue sometimes when using the app. If you are using the Safeway App, make sure to have your items already added to your cart before entering your phone number. Member prices are redeemable at the kiosks, but you MUST ring up with a cashier for any coupons.

Very amazing staff. Great environment. Good always looks amazing. Staff are beyond great. Love this Safeway!!However I went in yesterday and had switched pharmacies and due to their incompetence I was not able to get my HIV meds. Mind you I just switched pharmacies where they always did my refills when I ran out. I never had to worry about the doctor renewing my prescriptions. Due to me not having any refills left the pharmacy staff failed to recognize this or even tell me for that matter. I was told that it was my responsibility to look at my prescriptions and know when my refills run out. My previous pharmacy never told me this. They always did it on their own. Mind you being my HIV meds and knowing this they still did not inform me i needed a refill.

they have pretty much everything. yeah, lately they’ve been out of stock or have less of some things. but they still have loads of stuff, wide variety too. customer service is good too. most things here are mid range for price, but then again they are better quality. also their bakery section is 10/10. 5 stars

Store setup a little strange. Since it’s a smaller store pretty limited on selection. Pharmacy people were great. Grocery staff were ok. Deli counter person I interacted with was super courteous and helpful.

Usually clean and not too crowded. Sometimes stock seems to run a little low at this store, but it is a smaller footprint for a Safeway so I don't think that is too surprising.

Used to love the fried chicken dinner, however the deli seems to have gone down hill. This chicken was so greasy and slimy it slid out of my fingers trying to get it from the bag and halfway through the 1st breast we discovered that it's under cooked. YUCK!!!

I Shop there often. Always busy which IMO means the supermarket is well regarded. I lost a receipt that I need for reimbursement. I called and they were able to look into their system, find my receipt and reprint it. If they weren't able to I mist likely would have lost about $50. Greatly appreciated...

Same as every other Safeway. Donuts and dely aren't so good here. I worked at this Safeway and the one in pendalton, pendaton has good dely and donuts and you can tell why by who is behind the counter.

Clean store!! The employees sanitize the carts, so you don't have to, but you can sanitize them as well...they provide the solution (never runs out). Great deals on soda and meats weekly!! Love their gorgeous flowers and they are always fresh and taken good care of. The cashier's are friendly and efficient. If there's a sale going on and you don't know about it...they hook you up!!

I always thought that Safeway had fresh deli products until I purchased a cheesecake that I brought home and half an hour later for my son‘s birthday went to take a piece out and found out it was frozen.. very upset and disappointed.. the cakes apparently are frozen not fresh.

I love coming to shop here most of the time unless I have to go to the deli counter. There is this one younger guy that works there that is abusive and downright nasty to the customers.Even one of the ladies that manages the deli is rude and nasty. I've had at least 4 different occasions where the guy yelled at me , rolled his eyes because I asked for my meat to be sliced thin. I asked what the specials were and he flat out told me he didn't know and started yelling at me to just hurry and pick something. When I confronted deli manager she literally yelled at me and said her employee did nothing wrong and refused to give me her name so I could make complaint. I have complained to the store managers who do nothing but give me a line about how they will deal with my complaint and look into it.Yet everytime I shop there the same terrible guy is at the deli counter. DO SOMETHING ABOUT HIM !! I'M NOT THE ONLY ONE WITH THIS ISSUE.

Really need to get the heating figured out...it's like walking through a freezer ALL the time. The floral department is horrible. Flowers are wilted and overpriced (Especially for the quality).

Store opens at 6am correct? I came in at 0815 to get a breakfast, I repeat, a breakfast burrito. I see 4 people in the meat/deli department and am told that they are shorthanded and won't make me any type of food. Then when I question saying, "You have 4 people working?" one of the employees gave me attitude by yelling at me that even restaurants aren't open. Highly disappointed in the customer service and how your employees talk to customers.

I appreciate not having to put money in the pockets of the Walmart family, but as someone else mentioned, they understaff on checkers. Half the checkouts are closed typically, and the lines back up into the food aisles. Only once have I heard them call over the speaker for additional help with checking. I go on weekends or week nights after work. They should know what their typically busy times are and adjust accordingly. I have been going here for 6+ months and this is how it's been regularly.

This time, not so good. Deli was out of the roast beef on the ad. The meat department did not have most of the stuff on the ad out and did not seem to know what was even on the ad. In both departments, I was treated rudely by the person who seemed to be in charge. The other employees were very nice.

My mom had two items missing from her last visit. I had called and they told me to bring the receipt and show them and that was fine. When we went in yesterday and were checking out you would have thought we were trying to rob the store the way the cashier treated my mom. Not cool!

The cashiers are so sweet, the store is clean, I luv the produce 😍 but some of the prices of things that I need is OUTRAGEOUS!!!Yestrday I had to go get a couple things and I told myself that I'm just shopping in one store, Safeway. Well they didn't have one thing I needed and I wasn't going to pay the price for the other soooo.... I don't understand how some stores cost so much more than others for the exact same thing
