PRICES!!!This one changed overnight. The prices for some stuff is expensive. I have seen broken items being put on shelf and priced like new. I was talking to one of the employees and they said they wanted to work in the back pricing items because they didn’t like seeing people keep coming back and buying more items cheap. They acted like the customers were taking from them.The funny thing is then they moved to the back where they price and items went up in price. The thing they don’t understand is that 90% OF THEIR ITEMS ARE DONATED. AND IF YOU DON’T KNOW WHAT DONATED IS , IT MEANS FREE.I also asked one day about an item not having a price and the employee gave me a rude remark of, I’m busy and you need to take it out front and ask them, we don’t do that out here on floor. Funny thing is a few days later she was putting stuff up and a few people asked her about prices and she went each time to see about price.How can you be so busy that you can pick and choose who you want to help? You work at GOODWILL, it’s not that hard of a job.But I will say some of the employees are nice and they have nothing to do except try to make your experience and their day go well. A friendly hello goes a long way.The one thing some of the GOODWILL employees have to understand is that they are suppose to help the community, not hinder it. And also that they don’t get paid more if they price items higher. They are supposedly a non profit, but the president of company makes millions a year.

Bought a table with 4 chairs. Was told I had 24 hours to pick it up. However, when I returned with a "rented" truck within 24 hours and showed my receipt nobody knew where my purchase went. How does an entire table and 4 chairs dissappear with nobody not knowing was my question? An "hour" later, yes I stood waiting, I was told they accidentally resold my purchase. The mod couldn't get ahold of the manager at all trying numerous times. She decided to just give me my money back and informed me I would receive a discount for the trouble on a future purchase but that didn't happen either and no follow up from the store manager to discuss the issue.

I like how organized the clothing and other items are. And the selection of household items. There's not alot of toys or kids books or furniture.I don't like taking my kids there, with me (even making sure they stay in the cart next to me)- twice now, I've had single male persons following us (hovering or walking past/by us) aisle after aisle, staring at us while on their phones.

Everything seemed so dirty. Now I know going in, that it isn't going to be perfect. But this is gross. All the furniture had fly's all over them because you could see how gross and covered with sticky stuff. No one even cleans the surface of anything. Every single cloth items I pulled out we're stained and dirty. At least clean the store. So items were also priced very bad. Broken items on shelves. Just bad all around.

We go about once a month and we always see something new. We have bought a $150 dollar silver tray for $12 bucks a brand new pressure cooker $12 dollars. And loads of plus size clothing

Normally I would give them more stars but due to my last visit. Due to not being allowed to try on clothes before buying due to covid I bought some clothes asking if they didn't fir could I return them the cashier replied yes. I'm not gone 30 minutes take back what didn't fit for the same cashier to take my receipt do start the return then hands me a gift card. I'm confused as nothing was said about only getting credit not my cash that I paid I said what wait I paid cash and I want cash she said it states on the botton receipt we only do credit I said so let me get this straight I have to pay for the items that I can't try on ask about returns and only after I pay for them my receipt tells me about this why wasn't it mentioned before I gave you my cash as I wouldn't have bought them as I can't use your card to go another store to find the clothing items I needed for work that evening. She ignored me and called up another customer I took the card and left. Normally there customer service is much better than this.

So I inadvertently put my expensive iPad in a bag of donations. Three days later I discovered I was missing my iPad. So went to Hermiston GoodWill and casually asked if it was possible to locate it, not having high hopes. Lo and behold a young man found it rather quickly, All I had to do was open it using my passcode and out the door I went, happy as a clam. Kudos to the staff for setting it aside. Thank you…

Little known detail about Good Will.Each store is assigned a daily goal (sales) These goals are based on what corporate things the store is capable of reaching each day.And the goal is high.Some days when the store manager realizes the store isn't going to make the goal ......Well when I worked there manager would ask employees to help reach that goal.Sometimes we would quickly purchase items off the sales floor. Most of the time we would dig out our personal stash of things we had tucked away to buy. ( yes I know we weren't supposed to do that but its a good thing we did cause more than once it was our stash purchases that put the store up to or over the daily goal.It was at that time very stressful working at Good Will.Most of the stress came from pressure that corporate put on us constantly. One employee got physically ill when corporate walked in the door.I often say "there's not a lot of good will at Good Will"!

Cashier was super slow with a big line and no other Cashier was called. After quite a few visits there this seems to be typical customer service. Lots of good prices but really long wait time to check out most times.

I had a pair of shorts I needed to return because I got them too big! They were only $4.99! It took me 1 1/2 to pick out summer shorts n tanks for 3 kids. Also found 10 books for the kids. Manager Josh came over and said he wouldn't return them! The tag was still on! I left everything on counter because that upset me. I had to return for books because kids took forever to pick out! Never again will I donate or shop at our Hermiston Goodwill! I know management could of made the exception but didn't! Never again.

Did pansy very clean store. The only thing that I'm giving it for starts for his one lack of cashiers bathroom wasn't all that Pleasant the toilet paper did not move which was very aggravating. The prices are much higher than I anticipated for Oregon

WAY Over priced. You can't try things on, but you can take it home, and return it for store credit...What the heck?How is that Covid-safer?The staff seem nice and it is still a lot cleaner than Ross' Dress for less....

Be careful in the women's tops. I bought what I thought was a women's shirt. It was buttoned down left over right, which indicates a man's shirt. Despite it being in the plus size, it was narrow in the hips, which is also indicative of a man's shirt. Didn't notice it til after I had washed it. It went to garbage.

I saw a complaint about price and would like to mention that a lot of the items there are more spendy than you might like, but that is usually because they have quite a few more pricey items in good shape and sometimes they are worth it! I can get men's shirts A(dress and sport) for probably 1/4 of new and am careful to choose little used merchandise.

Staff is absolutely rude and two faced!!! One Gal ripped an item out of my hands and said " it shouldn't have been out because it wasn't for sale and it wasn't priced" my sister went to the same gal had an item priced by her. I am calling and reporting her!!!! She can kiss her job good bye

I love thrift shopping. Wasn't looking for anything particular but did find a few treasures. The organization and locations of items was a bit interesting and not everything was priced but it was fairly well kept up. Staff was very nice.

I don't understand reviews of these thrift stores from people that say the customer service is bad. I honestly like being left alone to shop. I get an occasional how are you? What is the type of thing you are looking for? Which is ok. I am a reseller and this particular Goodwill always has Starbucks mugs for 6-7 dollars a piece and the other mugs 50 cents to a dollar a piece. That is absurd. I have found some cool vintage toys though, and things surprisingly in their original packaging.The clothes are a bit too high, and the jeans prices seem to have increased. I bought a pair of wranglers jeans there the other day for 7 dollars for myself. Oh well, I have read horror stories about managers at other Goodwills that are really bad so I appreciate the quality of this one. You just have to go often, it's really a hit or a miss. I either clean up, or leave with nothing.Edited to update, they do refunds on electronics but not on furniture. Seems fair enough.I actually love this Goodwill and appreciate the quality of the items I find there very much. You just have to be willing to dig like at a yard sale or any thrift store.

Non profit because they get everything for free & charge people almost regular store prices.I am absolutely upset at goodwill, where is the help for low-income families? $40 for a microwave? When I saw the same one at Walmart for $30 ABSOLUTELY OUTRAGEOUS!!!!

Good will in Hermiston Oregon is a joke you can go to a store and pay less for an item certain items then you can at Goodwill now what happened to Goodwill being you know like a Salvation Army Salvation Army is good they don't try to over price things at Goodwill in Hermiston Oregon is a joke whoever's running that place mustache keep a lot of the things that are dropped off there because I'm dropped off the items and kind of had somebody in there just to see if those items got out on the shelves but know whoever is managing that store right now is a rip-off you know I mean everything that Goodwill gets is donated to them it's brought to them they don't have to do nothing but sell the stuff you know and they don't even do that they keep a lot of the stuff that's dropped off there which somebody needs to bring that too the CEOs attention I don't know who the manager is but I'm going to find out and I think whoever it is might be looking for another job that even talked to a couple people that have work there and said that they I know for a fact that that's what's going on there so anyway Goodwill in Hermiston Oregon thumbs down

the good will in hermiston oregon is so high priced that you can goto walmart and get the exact same thing brand new for cheaper than you can used at the good will. good will gets all of their stuff free and and you goto the good will to get things at a discounted price for the used items they they got free. good will is suppoed to be a great place to get used items at a price that is reasonable not outragousely priced. i used to really enjoy going to good will to go check out things and buy items, it was always fun to take the kids and enjoy yourself, now all you do is get discuted cause the items are so high priced. good will go back to what you are suppoed to be a thrift store not a new department store that you think you are trying to be. make shopping goodwill fun again.

To dang expensive. Better of buying brand new on alot of items. Sad that things are donated and goodwill is higher tha other thrift stores. My friends or I wont shop there anymore for that reason. So so shamefull!!!!!!!!!

Who the hell is the mentally challenged person that prices these items??? All the time I see way overpriced items, and today I saw 2/3 full Murphy's oil soap for $3!!! And then I saw Dollar tree plates that usually are a $1 (duh) but were $7 for just 4 plates!!!

You have to look through the store both up and down not as many great buys but they're still available just look they also have verious discounts policys that may make this shopping trip a lot more valuable. Just ask the friendly staff for the details.

Although the store is making improvements on cleanliness and appeal they are ridiculous on their pricing! I saw an item with a 300% markup today! This is the highest priced goodwill I have ever been in!

So glad it was open, senior and military discounts on Tuesday. Pretty busy- so sad we are losing all these small businesses due to the lockdown, and walmart is packed 😢

Hermiston Goodwill is a great store, in the new to you world. Selection is good and prices are decent. I've been to lots of 2nd hand establishments, I like the hunt, and this place is A O K

I really like this place but it annoys me that I can't try on clothes. I would have gotten alot more clothes if I could have tried them on... Lots of cute clothes..
