I was visiting from out of town and luckily bumped into this nice sized, country store. I could really appreciate the inventory, especially being off the beaten track. I even had a special run in with "Dan the Meat man". He came out from the back when he saw my lost expression and offered to walk me through the store in search of an item I was looking for...made me laugh the whole time. Thanks Dan!

I live in Heppner. I really appreciate the way this store serves our little community. While some of the prices are pretty high, that is to be expected for a small town a ways off of the beaten path. Their weekly specials are very good and help balance things out.

I love this little store. The prices are decent, there are regular sales, they take coupons, and there is always a smile to be had. Very happy to live in an area so small with such a big hearted store. Keep up the great work. Oh, and it is nice to have working doors!

So Heppner Family Foods still will not accommodate me disability. They said they will shop for me and I am to give them my card AND PIN NUMBER to pay. We have called the owner and he said absolutely to NOT give out you pin number. The employees must either bring out a handheld device for me to pay or let me in to pay with out the mask long enough to pay.Knowing I would not have anyone home this weekend I had 1 of the boys go down and get me the food I need for the weekend. Well I realized today he got the wrong stuff. I had to take it down and exchange it for the right food. A employee came out I gave him the bag of food with the receipt. It turns out the right food cost $2 more. I was told I would not be allowed to go in a pay and they had no handheld device for me to pay on. I was tuned away with out any food at all. So until my children come home after the weekend I will have nothing I can eat. Thank you Heppner Family Foods. Your employees and customers come and go and few are even wearing a mask correctly, their dirty hands are all over everything yet a disabled person can't go in for 30 seconds to pay for their food. I will be calling the owner again on Monday to inform him his employees are still demanding my pin number and will not sell me grocery.

Can find most of the necessities. Only grocery store in town so the prices reflect that but the people working there make the experience delightful, especially Zack, Bria and Stefanie! ;)Also the deli makes some great food and the store is clean.

Bought some lemon cookies from here for my children. I tried one after they said they tasted funny. They literally tasted like chemicals, almost bug spray or something in them. Purchased others before that, same brand, and they actually tasted like lemon cookies. They were the "that's smart" lemon sandwich cookies. I would avoid at all costs unless you like added chemicals in your foods.

Great place for all the essentials. They have a deli which is allways a + when grocery shopping. People are really nice and very helpful when looking for certain items. I would highly recommend shopping there when passing through Heppner.

Friendly staff, clean environment, a bit pricey but the only grocer in town. They do have some good deals on discount though. Deli is very good. Produce is fresh.

5 stars for the fried chicken. Better then the AC&T truckstop in Hagerstown MD. And they have the best in 3 states. I drive a truck and sample food all over the country.

Need chair for elders to sit.Half way area between the car and to store in the pop recycle area.Good spot to rest a tad.Before going into the store.No pop bottle lids to slip on.. that area also needs a safety painted strip , for walkway and pop recycle area..You have an experienced produce merchantizer. Never seen such trimed, perfect , clean products. Fresh..Customer relations A plus.injoy shopping his department.One two many rows of chips..Always expect them last row past produce. Or on ends.Merge wine with beer across from each other. Another must have item , in 2 spots.Fudge bars, always out.Thank you for carrying the LG. Size Coffee liquid creamer.Do not buy meat from Canada. But U.S.A. first.Ranchers all around the store location.
