Great place for backyard farmers as well as ranch farmers. Cute farm and animal themed gifts for adults and toys for kids. Customer service was amazing. Picked up some chicks today. Some chicks I called ahead a month ago and reserved and some I picked up on the spot based on the information provided from the staff. I will shop here again.

Well stocked feed store that also offers local honey and seasonal decor. Great selection of pet foods and toys, as well as farm feed, vegetable seedlings (in season), lawn products, yard tools, fence hardware. The staff is knowledgeable, local, and friendly.

First time chicken owner here. We went in and Fran spent time with us explaining which chicks would be best for us and our family. She was so knowledgeable. I was really glad to be able to meet her and learn from her. The store is amazing with so many things to choose from. I will be coming back for more supplies. Definitely worth it.

This was where I got my day-old chickies, now year and a half old laying hens. Fran, "the chicken lady" was exceptional! Being new to this, she taught me everything I needed to know and more(like how to give them a little chest rub and talk to them). They turned out so social and friendly, the Rhode Island Reds are the best layers. I go back with questions, and to get the feed for them, they have great prices. They always have what I need. They bring it out to your vehicle and even let you take a nice enclosed pallet u just have to ask im happy they are always there with smiles on their faces and helpfull

Always a great selection of anything farm & garden related. I usually shop here for equine & dog products, but in spring, they have herbicides, seeds, and plants I can't get elsewhere.Nice welcoming staff, & great service.They have been serving the community, & my family for 4 generations .

I just love wandering around in there! There are always friendly, knowledgeable, and approachable staff to help with any questions. There are lots of interesting things to see and buy as well as things that are needed. It's always clean and organized and obviously well taken care of both inside and out. AND don't forget baby chicks!

Honestly, I don't have many insights about the actual products offered here BUT the staff is incredibly friendly and welcoming. We filmed one morning in the store and they were so accommodating and friendly! You can tell they're a staple in the community and know customer service is important!

Ended up getting wet feed for baby chicks when it should have been dry. It had clumped and molded. Chicks are in good health, staff is nice, prices are fair. Make sure you buy packages that are sealed and not re-packed like the feed was. Brown bag should have clued me in...

I went for pet pictures with Santa and absolutely loved it. The wait was long and it was cold but it was 100% worth it. I'll be back next year to do it again. Also, the staff inside is always nice and love supporting this business. I can't recommend them enough. I'll be back for sure.

Don't miss this blast from the past. Modern wares in a setting like the feed stores from my rural youth. I stop just to inhale the nostalgic country-ness of it every time I visit. One of the best things about East County.

We purchased 4 silkie chicks from the store for my daughter's 4-H project. We have raised a slew of chickens before and have never lost one. Despite setting the chicks up in ideal conditions, all 4 died within 48 hours. When I contacted the store I was told the store doesn't give refunds for chicks once they are sold. I now have a very sad daughter without any chicks. This was the first time we ever shopped at this store. I will not be returning.

We drive over from the coast to get our chicks and ducklings. The staff and service have been so helpful and welcoming. Worth the drive, the cost for the chicks/ducks and the feed.

This is a fantastic locally owned feed store. They go out of their way to be helpful. Ive had a couple instances where they have gone WAAAY above & beyond to be of help. Thank nice was during the 2020 fires. I needed to get some donated hay loaded from the drop off facility so I could deliver it to a barn in need. I asked the manager (Casey) if I could offer their loading guys a quick side job doing it after their shifts were over. He just sent them over while they were in the Burns time clock!! Then again recently Casey helped me set up a way to take feed donations for a starving horse a friend took in. It’s something they hadn’t set up in the way that worked best in my end but he just figured out how to make it work. I wish more businesses showed this kind of care. It feels great to shop there because I believe they really do care about their community. They do a great job sourcing quality hay & their hay prices are on par with other feed stores. I go out of my way to shop here.

This was the first time I'd ever been to Burns feed store, and just really enjoyed it. The prices for the soil and additives all seem to be really good. When I went to look at the vegetables and herbs they were really friendly very helpful. Even inside the store it was just packed with wonderful things from grills to dog toys to stuff for horses and rabbits and birds. It was just like a big candy store.

Do not attempt to preorder or reserve chicks here. Their organization system is a total $h!t show. Everytime I call and ask about my order they spend 20 to 30 minutes flipping through a book of papers (hello? It's 2023 how are you not digital yet?) to find each individual breed that I've ordered. Instead of organizing each order by name/phone number with the chick breeds and the dates they are arriving. Also I got one text message alert for one single chick breed arrival but have not gotten any other texts for several others that have arrived. I have to call and check their fb page several times a week to ask if my chicks are in and what breeds arrive that week. They put me down for many chicks all arriving on different weeks but put me down for 1 chick at the end of april. Then they proceeded to tell me that one chick at the end of April will be too small to put with the others that have already been picked up. So why in the f didn't I get put down for the earlier week? I ordered in February, long before they were sold out so they certainly could have put my delware chick in for an earlier week. Maybe a week when some of the other breeds that I ordered are arriving? Your better off just calling and checking the fb page for the arrival of the breeds you want. They have a list of arrival weeks with each breed on their website so you can just call the week they are expected and ask if they have any available. Or just go somewhere else that doesn't use a bunch of random, unorganized paperwork.
