I went in here for the first time today. It was amazing, I witnessed Mike in the Stihl department help a gentleman order a part for a different brand. He also helped me find what I needed. And everywhere I turned, there was a helpful associate asking me if I needed help without bothering me and being in my business. Fields, you have your customer service on point. My hat is of to you.

I love this store. They have the best prices for chimney system parts. Most of the guys in the stove department know me. It's like cheers, I wanna go where everybody knows my name. Lol

There saw shop is great. They carry way more than most. The staff is very helpful l, they have been my go too for chains and felling gear. Recently needed parts in a hurry for one of my stihl saws there computer system said they didnt have it but they checked anyway and found what I needed.

They had my other half in tears. This is the third time we have called or came from Hugo and treated like garbage by the “GM” named Charles. The guys in the yard, Chris, David and others are awesome! When my GF asked for Jason (owner who she knew from 40 years ago), they refused to transfer and hung up on her. She called back and they just picked up and hung up. “GM” Charles gave us 2 minutes to leave or he was calling “police” (Deputies 🤦‍♂️). Fields is not worth the drive and the total lack of respect by the “GM”!!!!!!!!!!****** After the owner bashed me for my 5 reviews of other locations (1 saying Dr. Ziegler is the BEST). I want LEFTY (son of owner) to know the rude behavior came from your staff, telling my GF she shouldn’t have used the restroom first (did you expect her to pee outside?). To your GM refusing over many conversations over a month to allow us to pay before driving the hour from Hugo (because the counter staff will sell an order out from under you). ******* AGAIN the guys in the yard are great and I wish them luck in dealing with an “Owner” (got it from “Daddy”), that thinks hanging up on us is ok (without us saying anything). An “Owner” who has the time and energy to read my 5 reviews (good job). If we are the problem, how come all your yard guys liked us? And why would other people have bad experiences too?

//Update 01/2024 I've lowered my review from 5 stars to 3, because since I wrote the original review I have had issues there when buying lumber. Specifically, they would not allow me to pick out the pieces I wanted. Instead, I was expected to take whatever they gave me, whether it was full of knots or twisted. I no long buy my lumber there, and can't recommend them for that. I occasionally still buy hardware items there, but I get lumber from Home Depot these days, where you can still pick out the straight pieces that aren't full of imperfections.//Original review: Great folks, knowledgeable staff. This is not your average small town hardware store. In addition to everything else you'd expect to find at a hardware store, they also have a large inventory of lumber, pavers, cinder blocks and the like with prices that often beat the big box store. Great lumber deals on blows and/or scrap pieces at times as well. Highly recommended.

Im shirley hansen I’m 75 and by myself ,my hot water heater wouldn’t work so l called and they were so nice they referred me to mike brown,he was like and angle and we got my hot water heater working and my heart went out to this angle and the place where he works to allow such a wonderful person to work for them thank you mike .

Bought a Stihl FSA 90 battery electric weed wacker from these guys a couple years ago, and unfortunately the weed wacker electric motor failed because I think something got into the windings from the air that's used to cool it. Called up Fields to order a new motor and the guys there were super helpful asking me how old is it, and then looking up the purchase which was a bit of a tough one since I didn't keep the documentation, but it turned out that it was still within warranty. Told me to bring it on down and they would fix it for free, as long as it hadn't been dunked in water or anything like that. Well they got it fixed, and I'm super happy. What a great place to do business with!

Big store, huge selection and variety. I was there to see the Stihl tech about my chainsaw. I was having trouble finding the right replacement chain. But whe. I got to the chainsaws, they associate came up right away and helped me get the exact one I needed, so I got 2.. very glad he helped me . Store was clean and well organized too; and nice people working there.

...I talked to 3 different people and not one of them could answer a simple question about a lawnmower...they just kept shuffling me to somebody else who didn't know squat...how they got 4.6 rating is a mystery to me.

First time ever in this store today. Travis working the Stihl parts department really went above and beyond to help me out and the parts were cheaper than the dealer in Grants Pass. Will be returning here for all my Stihl products and parts.

Truly great service. I came back here to purchase a top of the line lawn mower here after shopping for it at a near by big box store. I am so glad I decided to make my purchase here even though I had to wait 3 days for delivery. The price was the same as the big box store but the service was so much better. Thinking back over the years, I have never been disappointed here.

I've been in the Grants Pass area since 2015 and if there's one home center that has quality products and just about anything you can think of that you might need, they have it.You won't find a more knowledgeable, helpful and understanding floor crew. If you have questions they have the answers.That being said prices are a bit high for me personally so I try other home centers first to get a better deal for my income.

Friendly staff and good selection of products. Was able to save $20 a sheet on oak plywood over home depot. The only downfall of this place is its location. It is around 10 miles from grants pass.

Was there the other day and the guy at the counter asked if l needed help finding what l needed. Well he actually helped me find my plumbing part! Great service and a friendly guy. Don’t get that often at other stores. The guys name l thought was Dean. Thanks for having such good employees!

Friendly, good prices, staff knows customer service. Customer convenience is something that comes from policy and procedure from ownership down, so when the friendly employees are following procedure the customer wins. Refreshing to experience in contrast to local competition where policy is king.

Very helpful staff. Convenient parking, and not as crowded as the Grants Pass stores. Only a few minutes drive from town. Found some nice battery powered garland for my fireplace at Christmas and it's where I go to get snow shovels, rakes and other yard items.

The people at Fields are very helpful. I do a fair amount of business with the contractor desk and they really are 'good 'ol Boys' and as a woman I am treated well. The store and yard are well organized and have everything you need. As a general contractor coming from CA, I have a good basis for comparison.

Great, really professional and knew what was needed. I went a couple days ago to another place near Albertsons off Redwood highway and was treated poorly was told part no longer in stock, but I could run trimmer until it blows up! Fields found a seal for air cleaner that would work. Very impressed, fields will get my money and business.

I just love this place. You name it I'll bet they may have just what your looking for. This time of year (Fall/winter) mice like to move in for the winter. I always try to encourage them to stay outside. But just in case you will find a great selection designed to redirect your wayward mice. I have found peanutbutter will attract them too....your redirection sights.
