The food was pretty good. Got the kale salad with grilled chicken. For the price ($16), I thought there would be more chicken or a full sliced breast, but it was cubed and not much volume. The flavor was good, though.I also got the large french fries ($7), which were quite good. It was a little too salty for my taste, but the other seasoning was spot on.Service was quick, and employees were friendly. The bartender hooked me up with a straw for my pitcher of ice water. She's truly amazing.There were a lot of people in there, and it was very loud. No fault to the establishment, but not my particular cup of tea.Vegetarian options: Yes.Dietary restrictions: Not specified on menu. I tried to avoid gluten and dairy as best I could.Kid-friendliness: There's a couple of pinball machines and tvs with sports. There were a lot of kids yelling and having a great time.

This is one of my favorite places to hit when we do anything on the mountain. It is so great for kids since there is an arcade upstairs and during summer the patio is just next level.Their pizza is pretty dang good and decent beer and some cocktails.It is a perfect stop after doing any snow activity.Kid-friendliness: Great place for kids of all ages. Fun arcade upstairs and pizza is always a winner.

You know I was skeptical when I read the review best pizza and fries I've ever had... but hot damn that guy wasn't lying. I loved that meat lovers pizza. Also I really wanted garlic fries even though it wasn't on the menu, they whipped it up for me. I sat at the bar and the service was spectacular, friendly and timely service.

This is a bar food place. I had a black bean burger. It was fried beyond crisp. Thank goodness it came with lettuce, tomatoes and onion. The only thing that held it together was the melted Swiss cheese.Vegetarian options: Only thing on the menu is salid or a black bean burger which was way over cooked.

Great selection of drafts and plenty of tvs to watch football or any sport event going on. Unfortunately the food isn't the best quality or tasting in my opinion from what I had. But the service is awesome and friendly. Also I love the name "Ratskeller" it's fun to say lol.

We had the chips and salsa and pretzel. The atmosphere was fine - not too many people that when we went. The snow has not yet started falling in Government Camp. The people there were naice the the food was good. They have a wide variety of beer choices and just a few wine choices.

Has good 1/2 pnd burgers with fries about $15 . Nice casual outdoor seating, inside is cool retro log old-school bar setting, with about four pinball machines that are fun. Fair pricing for the food. Haven't tried the pizza yet. I would recommend it for places to eat in Government Camp, also try Huckleberry Inn for a great breakfast.

Solid little spot in a laid back town!The bartenders here are super friendly, and there’s tons of parking up and down the street, even for overnight parking.Their IPAs are well above average, and the food I ordered was solid. I ordered the Wedge Salad, and they did not mess around with it. It was a full meal LOADED with toppings! (see pics below)I’ll definitely be back in next time I’m in the area to try something new on their menu!

A really fun place, good pizza and beer spot before leaving the mountain. Had an off experience with undercooked wings, which they took back without a question, but otherwise a great time. Cornhole and great outdoor area in the summer.

First of all the rat has a bomb wedge salad. Actually, everything was pretty good. This is a great place to get out of the cold and down a few craft beers and grab some grub. It's kid friendly but seating can be limited! Find a table and order from the bar.

Love this place!! Had our wedding rehearsal dinner here in July 2019. 🙃 besides that the food and drinks are great! We had a large pizza last night half meat lovers and half basil chicken. The basil pizza was amazing!!!

The best vegetarian gluten free pizza made with cauliflower crust! Just thinking about it as i write this makes me want to make a special trip back to Government Camp just for this AMAZING pizza, plus the cool ambiance, and multiple pinball machines! Especially loved the RUSH pinball as well as the Godzilla machines! The wood-carved door with the rat character we also enjoyed seeing. Great character here, food, fun, and low key yet homey vibe!

My husband and I love this place! Every time we come up to the Mt Hood area we stop in for the scrumptious Bavarian Creme Churros. Last time we also got the chicken strips and fries which were also delicious, as was the beer. Definitely recommend going here after a day in the mountains or if you’re passing through.

The bartender was very friendly and accommodating. The food -we were split on the food. My kale salad was spectacular and the stinger honey wings were just awesome. Our burgers were over done but we’re not sure if that’s how people like to cook the burgers locally here in the restaurants. We’re just used to medium or medium rare .We had some college age kids with us and they loved the pinball machines and the punching bag;)

Had a great lunch here! Was a little on the pricey side but the portions were very generous and tasty. The cheeseburger was huge, and the calzone was very well made. There was a lot of outdoor seating available to make the most of the excellent spring weather.

(Try the clam chowder you won't be sorry, I can honestly say it's the best I've ever had) there is also a giant screen TV for game days and there's even for pinball machines old-school pinball machines great place for the entire family!

We made a quick stop on our road trip to pick up a late lunch at the Ratskeller. We were not disappointed. The staff were friendly and the service was quick. The prices were a little bit high ($30 for a couple of chowders and three pretzel sticks), but the food was delicious.The pretzel sticks were very soft and fresh and the clay chowder was thick and hearty. Guests should expect a clean (but loud) environment.

Awesome place to chill and watch sports at Camp Govy. The Wooden Entrance door is that of a Lodge. Huge Projection screen and TVs everywhere on the wall. Have a large stage as well so I think they get bands sometimes on weekends. Decent Pint selection and decent pizza.

Love this place! We stop here after skiing at Meadows or anytime we are traveling over Mt. Hood. My favorite menu item is the mediterranean chicken sandwich. Yum!
