Corporate office should have more people working there...very difficult to stop on the way home from work and then find out they closed 4 hours early because not enough staff.I really appreciate the 4 employees that are working their tails off to keep your store in business 👍I spend a lot of money in your store.Maybe I should just got to Bi Mart instead 🤔

There are really getting dedicated to restocking as quickly as possible. That's great. Some of the employees truly can make your day, so pleasant and helpful. For instance, Gage; I believe he is one of the managers, he is bright and cherry. His personality makes it easy to ask a question and know he will help the best he can! Shana is another employee that really will take time to help. If an elderly customer needs some help shopping she will take time to help them. Willingly and with warmth and compassion. Wonderful people like this deserve a shout out for being Great Humans! Thank you. Your appreciated!

The cashier adds two bag fees (10 cents) to every customer. I was standing in line during the rafting season and watched him charge every customer two bag fees on the little mini register screen. Most customers getting one or two items do not get a receipt so they do not notice. I asked for a refund on my 10 cents out of principle but the company and /or the employee is stealing from every customer. Also, I know this is a petty complaint but stealing/scamming is black and white in this case. Clearly, I am still upset to write about 10 cents a month after the fact!For management/owner purposes, I was there after 6 on 08/20&21.

Conveniently located and a good range of merchandise, and some good buys, but store shelves often look disorganized. Staff are usually friendly but management appears lacking. The impression I get is that there is way more work than there are employees to do the work.

I have shopped at the store in Gold Hill,Oregon a few times and have found the staff to be quite rude. I purchased an item that was on sale however when I started to leave I noticed I was overcharged. When I pointed it out to the woman at the checkout.. she became angry and defiant. She stated she was the manager and went over and ripped the sale sign down stating that price was incorrect! I then said I would like to just get my money back. She angrily asked for my ID and my phone number which I gave her. I figured she was having a bad day but the next time I went to the store she stopped me at the door and said if you return things like that again she would have to stop me from coming into the store ever again. I turned and started to leave asking her why she was acting that way and that she was acting in a totally unprofessional manner. I will NEVER return and have informed my friends and family of the way she treats people. I am 63 years old and this is the first and only time I have ever been treated this way. I do not know what I supposedly did wrong except to dispute the price of an item.

They have a surprising variety of items at very reasonable prices. Seasonal items rotate often. Always something new. Most items are of high quality and good value. Some grocery items are a little high in price, which is the tradeoff you get by not having to go to a supermarket.

It's great that Gold Hill finally has a store like this! Good prices, shop for the best deals. Rotating stock on many items, so don't get discouraged if they don't have what you're looking for the first time you go. If you buy more than 20 or $50 in merchandise, you get big discounts on your next visit......I go here almost every other day!

Out of all the Dollar General stores I've been too, this one in Gold Hill is my favorite and I will say it is the employees that make it the best. They are always super friendly and helpful. The store is well stocked and orderly. I miss living near by!

I'm so happy to have a Dollar General in Gold Hill! The prices are so much more affordable than Ray's, which was otherwise the only realistic option for miles and miles. Aside from the food selection, they have a lot of other household items Ray's doesn't carry such as bedding, shower curtains, rugs, etc. Great store with kind employees!

I like dollar general normally but there is only one person on and all the shelves are empty or low on stock in food and other areas. I had to go to Rays to get all I needed. The cashier was nice.

I was caring for my five year old Granddaughter and my daughter failed to leave her shoes and this is where Dollar General was a lifesaver. The shoes were not top shelf but were very inexpensive and served well for playing outside. The store had several styles.

It's not that I dislike the store but they are way under staffed. There's empty shelfs, carts full of merchandise to be put on the shelves. Today I was in line to check out and there was at least 10 other people in front of me waiting to check out and one cashier. They need to hire more people and give those employees a break.

When we arrived my husband was kicking the ball around with our 3 year old and they asked us to keep the noise down in the middle of the day. Later, a couple of kids came in and we're blasting music and nothing was said to them. The music didn't bother us but they asked us to quiet down and not them. Our little dog was off his leash on a chair laying down and they told us to put him on a leash, we did. Several big dogs running around with no leash. It felt personal. Bathrooms were nice.

The employees are always very rude and talk down to you, some are obviously on drugs! This is the worst Dollar General ever. One cashier started arguing AT me about the fine print offer and price of an item I requested to be taken off. ( I immediately understood it must have been bogo so why keep being sassy at me?) It was all a weird and embarrassing experience. I stood and let it happen to me 😒

I thought DollarTree was the best til they brought us Dollar General. The one in Gold Hill, Oregon is my favorite. The employees are super friendly and have actual conversations with their customers. They sometimes help us shop. Lol

Got what we needed and then checking out was a problem. One cashier and a huge line. She (Annabelle) was awesome. She kept a smile and was friendly, even after some of the frustrated customers were rude to her

It's nice to have another place to shop in this small town. The prices at the DG are much more affordable than the grocery store down the street. And, they carry everything from frozen food to clothing. They have beer and wine, too. So, you can get everything you need in just one stop.

One of the cashiers never wears his mask, he just leaves it hanging off his face (I think his name is Steven). Long lines, only ever 1 cashier working a register, even though there are 2 working. This store desperately needs an additional worker.

Very happy with their prices. The people are very nice. Close by. They have a Redbox for movie rentals and returns. No more having to go out of town to get a movie or having to find a reason to go to Central Point when you just wanted to get or return a movie.

This store exceeds standards in shopping and customer service compared to the other one in the area. Staff are friendly and accommodating and store is TIDY and shoppable. Could use two checkout clerks during peak hours.

Arrived to pick up online order to be told Nope ever seen it.. still charged my card and the app said it was being prepared. I will go without before I go to this store again. Dollar Store online ordering is a waste of time and cost me extra money.

Crazy long wait. Second in line, the cashier seemed really amped up and chatty and took forever to get a transaction done. Almost 15 minutes to get up there as second in line. Good prices though, so whatever lol

Great selection of useful household objects at a location with no other options. Product quality is a bit questionable though. I would never buy any of their food.
