Oshens has a new menu! Many choices for all! We were greeted at the door by both a server and the owner, taken to a comfy table in the bar where we could watch the wait staff bring out all the lovely food choices.Our server was very good. We enjoyed the roasted beet salad; the calamari (enough for an entree though it's listed as an appetizer); and the pan fried rockfish served over couscous with perfectly cooked veggies.All dishes had generous portions and were delicious, filled with subtle flavors.If you have hesitated to try Oshens in the past, certainly try them now with their new chef and wonderful menu selections. You'll be pleased ❤️Parking: Lots of parking in the Salishan Marketplace mall. Also a coffee shop, interesting stores, a bakery, a fantastic brew pub, amazing fish/chips/chowder truck....go there now!

Nice, cozy, upsale chophouse with amazing staff. From the bartender, server, to the manager everyone was incredibly friendly and open to suggestions. I started with tea, a sample of red wine, & good old fashioned chicken pot pie. The server was very knowledgeable & helpful with my wine choice the secret squirrel which was definitely barrel aged....see if you can taste the notes of red licorice. The desert was amazing, I took it to go & my dog Jada couldn't help help herself so we shared it.

This was 100% the absolute prime location for an outburst of palatable stimulation!!!! Each bite was oddly different and better than the last!! The chief clearly took pride in the amalgam of taste and presentation. Everything was picture perfect. The atmosphere is just spectacular and not to mention how friendly and hospitable the owner was. I'd 100% revisit this place just to eat the watermelon & Cheese concoction that was served to us!!!

First Time There - Don't Pass Up This Restaurant.Very nice restaurant, comfortable atmosphere.Our waitress very informative, patient and most importantly, listens.We were there to celebrate two birthdays, enjoy our friends, had wine. There was no hurry to order. When it was, all questions were answered and suggestions made.I'll make it short: Ordered salads, all were great, flavorful and fresh. I chose the Soup of the Day, Bisque with a side of Grilled chicken. I'll get into that in a bit. I also had the Makoa "Warrior" salad because it was completely different from anything I have had. It had Black beans, edamame, pineapple relish, pickled seaweed (Sea Greens) on a bed of white rice. Was not disappointed. Very nutritiously delicious.Now for the Bisque. It was ... how to described the taste ... Heavenly! Very smooth, lots of sea food, creamy smooth in an over sized cup. I want to call this the "Boomerang Bisque" as it's going to make me a return customer.The only downside, due to the four stars, the grilled chicken's seasoning was just too salty, otherwise inside was good. Glad there was white rice to eat with the chicken to cut down on the saltiness.Everyone enjoyed their meals - very very pleased.For desserts we had Aftogato's and another round of Anejo Smoked Old Fashioned. We never had one smoked, decided to try it. Came in a glass case filled with smoke with the drink.After a few minutes, open the case to a short smoke filled area. What a scene! The drink was ok. It came with a large ice ball. Took it out as it got in the way of drinking and my liquor level dropped to about 3/8". Was a littledisappointed at the quantity but it was a festive science and forgotten.If thinking of going somewhere special, put Oshen's on your list. This restaurant is fairly new, and will become a favorite - don't wait to make your reservations! Oh, before I forget, there is live entertainment, a young lady with a guitar singing some favorite songs. She politely sang Happy Birthday for us!

Yes!From the signature smoked cocktails to the phenomenal salads, appetizers and entrees..Our meal started with beet salad, crab cakes, and the daily special soup..My companions are far more versed in crab cakes than I, and gave them a 10/10.I get it. They're amazing. More crab than anything.. amazing.The beet salad was light, beautifully prepared and achieved a fine balance between acidic and sweet..The filet, miso salmon and daily fish special.. no wrong choices.Will absolutely be back.

Worth making a trip here just to eat at this 'jewel' on the Oregon coast. We did not have reservations, but they were very nice when we called and said they could accommodate us...and boy, did they ever!They sat us at the Chefs table and we feasted on some of the best food we have ever tasted!! Starting with one of their smoked drinks (so much fun!), then on to a watermelon/feta/basil and some crab and salmon cake appetizers. Soup, Salads, Filets, Halibut and even burgers for mains and all were literally a-m-a-z-i-n-g.Food: 5 stars!Staff: Attentive, informed, and very kind and considerateAtmosphere: Nice ambience, comfy and inviting

What a stunning breakfast experience at Oshen’s today! Chef Kevin & Vicky have only been at it for one week but with the flavors, presentation & offerings you can tell they’ve been doing this for a long time.My wagyu steak & eggs breakfast exceeded my expectations. It’s a comfort food but they’ve managed to add a fine dining twist to it. My fiancé got the Northwest Logger plate - it was huge! And delicious. We also got a side of biscuit & gravy - the chorizo gravy is out of this world. You’ll definitely enjoy your breakfast here!

Had dinner here last night and was very pleased. All dinner items were a la carte and a limited wine by the glass selection. I ordered the Miso Seared Salmon, Sautéed Mushrooms, and a glass of Gnarly Head Cabernet.The Miso Seared Salmon was fresh, seared on the outside, rare on the inside. The delicate flavor of the salmon was complemented nicely by the basil sauce. The Sauteed Mushrooms were warm, and the mild flavors of the mushrooms were not overwhelmed by the garlic.Although the food was delicious, a better selection of wines by the glass would be a welcome improvement.The coast needs a few more exceptional restaurants like this one - a keeper.

I don't often leave reviews but our experience here was extraordinary. Doug led us to our table and suprised us with wine tasting. Kat was out waitress and she was amazing❤️! I can't go without saying the food and drinks were delicious. I had a smoked peach margarita I will be asking all my servers at home to try and replicate. Great service, food, and atmosphere. All around 10/10!!!

Really great place, their food was delicious and service outstanding. My favorites were the stacked truffle potatoes and the crab/lobster cakes. Did not care for the mushroom appetizer, the mushrooms tasted off and unseasoned. The restaurant is a tad bit pricey.

My husband and I had the best meal at Oshen’s Chophouse on New Year’s Eve! We both had the filet mignon and they were cooked to perfection! As were the baked potato and grilled vegetable sides. Our entire meal was just exceptional, starting with hand crafted drinks at the bar. Even though the restaurant was packed, our service was excellent and attentive, as always. A recent minor remodel has made the interior space even more intimate and inviting. The entire experience was a 10+ and we will be back again and again…

We had dinner and asking around we have discovered the breakfast chef must be where the good reviews are coming from.Our dinner was unfortunately one of the worst we have ever experienced.Location was nice, they did a great job on the remodel. Staff must have been overworked as she was rushing and people were left at the door for 5-10 minutes before being addressed, felt bad for her.started with shrimp and bruschetta, besides the plating being kinda weird and just gotta set on the plate with some leaves. it was a good start. very promising.dinner we had pesto pasta, filet and a tomahawk. wanted to try it all.you think steak house, you think steak and potatoes right? how could they mess this up. after one bite wife is life try my filet. her meat was the lowest quality steak i have ever seen. and the prices were low enough we didnt expect high end steaks but we didnt expect the lowest grade possible. i dont even know if it was a filet but it was overcooked and flavorless.pesto fine on the cook but again almost flavorless and we love pesto so huge bummertomahawk is kinda a novelty so not expecting the moon and the stars here. But some staff member walked by and was like oh did you order that because its free and you won a prize. it was such a weird question and he was kinda a mess i wasnt for sure if he was an employee or why he was asking this question but when i replied no he seemed kinda upset. guess he was working the bar or kitchen staff according to our waiter, but such a weird thing to assume. putting that strange interaction aside. the steak was cooked over and barely any flabor. i didnt finish it and threw away the leftovers. the potatoes on everyone's dish were lumpy and strange. vegetables again just soggy and weird.I was warned that this place is a tourist trap. But Kevin working here gave me hope. Guess not.weird service, lame food, never in my life have a i thrown away a steak for being so bland and hard to eat from a so called steak house.

Just had lunch here and it was great! Food excellent, excellent ingredients and presentation beautiful. Amber was wonderful, warm and welcoming. They have made the space really beautiful and have some nice outdoor seating as well. We thoroughly enjoyed and highly recommend. So a needed addition to the dining options in the area.11/11/23-Just had dinner for the first time, whole new menu. Really great food, nice low key atmosphere, and great live music from TomO. Really well played classical guitar and ukulele. Excellent service. So happy to have this option in the neighborhood. It will be a go to for us. Had the crab cakes and husband had the burger, both great and satisfying, Dessert excellent too. Highly highly recommend:)Looking forward to breakfast:)

Such a great place to eat! We are local and discovered this hidden gem unexpectedly today. Wow! Food and service were excellent. Such an amazing experience. We feel fortunate to have this new restaurant here on the central coast. We stopped in for lunch, but we will definitely be going back soon for dinner! We’ve already started telling friends to stop in.P.S. Don’t pass up the fisherman’s stew if it is the special of the day or the strawberry basil salad! Wow! Oh and all the desserts (we tried four of them) are out of this world!

We had dinner the second night it was open, and the experience was fantastic all around! The Filet Mignon was cooked exactly as requested, and the flavor was outstanding. The crab & lobster cakes weren't dry like at some places, nor soggy like at others. They were perfect! Firm, yet moist and delicious. The sauce? Amazing! I've since had lunch there a few times as well. The grilled chicken sandwich was quite tasty. After a great date night, and a few lunch trips, my experiences have inspired me to recommend this wonderful place to anyone in the area that wishes to have an amazing experience of their own. Thank you so very much! I look forward to more visits!

Husband and I dined here last night after a lovely (5-star) hike at God’s Thumb. We loved every aspect of it!! The hostess and server were warm and welcoming and they’ve created a thoughtful and balanced space and a memorable dining experience. My husband ordered seared salmon - cooked to perfection, and I ordered the warrior bowl with the lobster/crab cake. He also ordered the Gnarly red (2 glasses!) and I got the Siletz sunrise (a rare cocktail treat!). We thanked the talented chef, Shenandoah, before we left — and we left fully satisfied.A fantastic experience and we hope to go back — and often!!

We were more than justified in our excitement when it came to dining at this incredible restaurant. The atmosphere is lovely, the staff are friendly, knowledgeable and beyond helpful. And the food quality is out of this world. Their presentations are meticulous and flawless. Flavors that I would never think of blending worked so well together and I was in heaven. The entire experience was perfect. If you are over on the coast, make sure to get yourself a reservation for this incredibly impressive restaurant. You will not be disappointed.
