You have to pay extremely close attention to your receipt, some items that are on sale don't ring up at the sale price and when they have a manager's special for 50% off items on special tables they don't know how to ring them up at the advertised 50% off. Also be very careful using coupons that those ring up properly too. Buyer beware!!

I shop here frequently as it is on my way home. The older man that runs the store decided to tell me that I was selfish for not wearing a mask. I defended myself and said that I had done my research and If he was concerned, then he could wear his mask if he thought it actually works. But respected his rules and said I would not come into his store anymore. He wanted to continue to argue in front of other customers. I won't be shopping there anymore, and if you are a free thinker in a free country I suggest you shop elsewhere.

Honestly I love dollar general but the workers are rude as hell. In person and over the phone. If you do not like your job then quit! So annoying

What can I say about Dollar General I got what I wanted when I went in there it was there I knew it would be I bought it the man that waited on me was just very nice very polite very friendly and it's kind of nice having a Dollar General and our little town I don't even live in town I live out of town and our town is very small so it was nice to have a Dollar General come in where you can run to get things when you need them without having to go all the way into town for one item and I mean a big town our little town as one little grocery store in a post office a bar and then the city buildings but I like Dollar General and I'm glad it's there

Pretty well stocked for a Dollar General, especially in a tiny town. Nice to have something closer for quick items and not have to run into Salem for them. Store was also very clean and the cashier was very nice.

I don't usually leave complaints but this situation left me leaving the store empty handed, embarrassed and almost in tears.I came to this store and was shopping for about an hour and went to check out 15 mins before closing. There was 3 people behind the counter working and no one at the time behind me. They had stuff that was on sale not ringing up right for some reason. The 1st item the cashier knew was wrong and overrided the item despite her manager giving her a look and his manager watching them both from a distance.The next FIVE she was going to have to go check...I told her don't worry about it since at that point there was 2 people waiting and 8 mins before closing. So they had to do a VOID and that caused so much stress for everyone involved. I'm asuming voids look bad on them or something because the main manager was huffing and puffing as he helped void the items. Then to top it all off once I put in my phone number my coupons from the app didn't work. I asked if he can see why and if I needed to try my number again. This lead to the manager getting impatient telling me he can't see on his side if they work or not it's on my screen. The problem is I think the voids made everything but the total disappear from my screen for some reason. He eventually said that he can't do anything about it and told me there was people waiting behind me and they were closing. So in other words take it or leave it but hurry the hell up.I needed those coupons...I needed those sales...I am a struggling Mom trying to get by and spent an hour finding the best deals so I could get the things my family needed. I felt tears building up from embarresment with 3 people whipsering behind me in line, a manager being loud about everything going on and the anxiety of knowing I didn't have enough without the coupons working. The last thing I wanted to do was ask them to void some things after their last reaction of a void.So I quietly told him I didn't want any of it and I'm sorry for wasting his time. All 3 of them paused and looked at me with disbelief. The lady cashier felt bad...I think she could tell I was embarrassed. The 2 managers shook their heads disbelief. As I walked out of the store I could hear them talking to the next customers about me and apologizing for their having to wait on me.I love DG but I want the staff to know that patiences and compassion can go a long way. Even if it's almost closing time, you still are on the clock and you definetly shouldn't make someone feel that way.

The manager and cashier probably didn’t know I was in the store but I overheard them talking about when things go down to a quarter on clearance they simply take them off the shelves and they keep all penny items. I found a Christmas smurfs dvd as part of the quarter sale and the cashier took it from me saying she can’t sell it to me.. I couldn’t argue with her as I needed the baby Tylenol and didn’t want to get kicked out. If you’re looking for clearance deals don’t go here. The employees keep the clearance deals. Getting after holiday items on clearance for a quarter was a no go at this store. The manager then stated they “save it for next year”. How gross. Saving candy, air fresheners, etc for the next year. Who knows how old the holiday stuff is that we’re buying.

I just need some small thing's. And in today's world you have to walk a mile or two just for a gallon of milk.Then wait in line. Not here got what I needed in and out 5 minutes 14 seconds with more things I need great customer service. Love it

Dude was giving a" not welcome vibe" he kept following us like we were going go steal something but in fact we were just new customers browsing around seeing what we would like to purchase. Felt like I was being discriminated for the color of my skin, dude didn't follow anyone but myself and my fiance, felt targeted. At check out he talked to my fiance as if she was young and stupid. Also need music playing, dead quite in that place.

If you are in a hurry and need a bite to eat and a drink go into this place. The staff is really friendly and will actually talk to me if I want to have a conversation.

Stoe was a mess. Couldn't fit cart through most aisles. They said it was because of restocking but while there really wasn’t any restocking going on very messy and dangerous. there were aisles that were just left a mess step ladder boxes totes.

Ive visited dollar general now and again since its grand opening and since then I have had a consistent shopping experience. I find what I am looking for and usually more. This location is well placed even though there is a store in Gervais it is not visible from the highway. Hopefully this will start bringing some businesses to Gervais.

This store was absolutely a mess. The shevles were so cluttered and over stuffed with stuff you couldnt even look without stuff falling onto you or the floor. Also there wasnt an ile that didnt have stuff on the floor.

Nice clean store helpful staff..prices where slightly better than gervais market but just barely would definitely recommend if your just that little bit too far out to get to Woodburn for say milk. Don't buy cigarettes here too expensive

Been back here from time to time it's a good place for all of your needs for drinks alot cheaper then a normal store would sell. But over all i gave it a 5 because it's home friendly I like this place I know you would too.

I like DG, but I'm about ready to stop shopping at the Hubbard and Gervais, Oregon stores. Bare shelves and never have advertised items in stock (even the first day if the ad). Very disorganized stores.

I could not find the nuts, clerk told me where they were- explained difficulty walking so could not go get them (already near check out). Store was not busy this late at night... no one offered to get them for me. 2 registers open, 2 clerks no one in line. Hmmm. Lost sale 😐

For last-minute things especially if a cat gets out of the kennel and poops all over the place. I'm glad Dollar Generals close by for those last-minute cleanups if your pet has an accident. And cannot fine the litter box I wish they had more inventory I just wish Dollar General what is a bigger Market Gervais. They should make it a tradition of Dollar General bigger in Gervais
