2 stars because they were very friendly.I asked when the crabs were cooked and was told “yesterday.” I had them back and clean my 2 and a half lb crab which I tipped 2 dollars for. I drove the hour home with my $30.75 prize wrapped in ice. I couldn’t wait so I unwrapped my very yellow crab; yes, yellow! It was so stained from sitting in poo juice that the entire crab was tinted yellow along with all the meat. (See photos) I was thinking it would just be the outside but the meat was yellow all the way through. This takes more than just a day to happen. I say this from 40 years of crabbing.I could say a lot about this great disappointment, like, the lack of pride in Oregon and an Oregon product. For them to charge 12 dollars a pound for 3 day old crab really gets me. At least pull the backs off so the meat doesn’t turn yellow and taste just like it looksIf. There was no sweetness to this crab.This crab was once a good crab, so you could luck out and come on the day or day after it was cooked but I would not trust it unless I sampled before I bought.

Wish I would have got her name but the gal working the register the day before Thanksgiving was incredible! Very good service, gave us samples of smoked salmon dip and took us and our kids out to see the crabs, even let them hold one.

This business is 5 star all day! I spent time satisfying a few things on my bucket list and this place nailed it for fishing and seafood quality! The employees are amazing. The owners are wonderful, friendly and down to earth. Thank you Captain Corner. I hope everyone gets to experience this fabulous corner on the docks of Garibaldi!!!

We stopped in Friday and the staff was Awesome, fresh seafood, great Crab and their clam chowder is full of clams not other fillers. You have to add salt as then make it without salt so you can make it taste how you like. I highly recommend getting fresh seafood from them.

Oregon Coast at its best, Garibaldi and Captains Corner fresh seafood! Fresh from local fishermen, our fish was firm and delicious; we baked it in butter, garlic and a pinch of pepper. We can’t wait to try the crab cakes! The girls at the counter were all smiles and made our day! Going back soon.

Your response was within an hour of me posting my original 2 star based on the service we received on our original visit.I absolutely understand that finding staff to work on a holiday is tough and I'm happy you guys were open. We did enjoy the products we purchased, some scallops, large prawns, cocktail sauce, and bay shrimp.Your response tells me that the service we received during our NYE visit was outside the norm and we'd be happy to return when we make it out that way in the future. Thank you again and I hope you have a great 2024!******************************************************************My friend and I went there on NYE. We decided on Captains Corner because of the large amount of positive reviews.When we arrived, we were met with a guy that seemed like he didn’t really want to be there. We asked if the seafood was caught locally and were just met with a “no”. No other information, just nothing. The tone seemed like he was annoyed by the question, and it’s one that I thought to be legitimate. The remainder of the interaction was just awkward and like he wanted us out of his shop as quickly as possible.I’m giving 2 stars because the seafood was good, but I found the service to be rude, impatient, and ungrateful. There are so many places to shop for seafood in that area. When we return to the coast, we will give our business to another merchant.

Guy was super rude and they closed early, we drove out of our way for it. Sign says they close at 5pm and so does google, we arrived at 3:50ish. Wanted to get stuff for my birthday dinner.

We wanted fresh crab in Garibaldi so we tried this place. The prices were reasonable, she cleaned our crab and was completely delightful. Nice job folks!

Great Find! Loved the selection of fresh seafood and the unique “smoked scallops or oysters”! Bought 2lbs shrimp and it was delicious! Service was very friendly and kind!

The place is great, friendly serve, not too busy. Prices for oysters are hard to beat. Crab prices were comparable to Safeway in Portland but the crab was much more fresh of course. We did get a slightly old piece of fish there once (distinct ammonia smell) so now I always ask the sales person how fresh the fish is and smell it before leaving the market. No issues! Always stop by here on the way to and from the coast.

Great crab and friendly service. Will definitely return. The only reason this didn't get a 5 is the somewhat limited selection. My expectations are set by the fish markets in the city, so if I could is go 4.5. But some cocktail sauce to go with all the seafood, for example, would have been really nice. Maybe some bread, lemons, vino, you know.

We had our charter catch cleaned and prepped, which was nice since I had never done it and caught so much! They were right on time with being done, everything was packed well. Wish I would have asked if they could have left the skin on one side of the fish. *edit* the crab was cooked but tasted like it was cooked in an old batch water or something was off. We were unable to eat any of the crabs we caught.

Friendly staff helped me get oysters for father's day dinner. This location was already out by the time I came for some, but the excellent customer service oriented staff where very helpful and gave me several options and place to try. He told me the fathers are eating good today and they had sold 120dozen oysters earlier that day! Friendly staff, great seafood selection (come early) and competitive prices!

Been here twice. Friendly service, plenty of fresh catches to choose from, and easy access from the main thoroughfare [US Highway 101].The first time I went it was close to the end of the day, and they were cleaning up; they had been sold out on scallops, but pointed me to the other fishmonger in town that might be able to help. They are first rate in customer-first service here, with quality fish to boot.

Local Fresh Seafood Market! Fish cleaning stations and options all around the pier! Beautiful spot and so much else going on. A must stop for tuna and the homemade crab cakes are one of a kind!
