When you are in a hurry for a quick Chinese style meal or sushi, this Safeway always has a great selection to choose from.I don't just come here for a quick bite, though. I enjoy doing my shopping here as well. I come from a small town, so the selection is limited. This store, however, has a wide variety of everything. I mostly find my health food here as well as the foods my kids like. Overall, the store is clean, the staff is friendly and helpful, and there's a great selection of groceries to choose from.

The people who work there are nice and helpful. If you forget your coupons, the cashiers have the paper and will assist you with the coupons. They have the 3s a crowd.

If you actually look close enough at the cleanliness of the store especially their deli and their meat department. You'll notice inside of the cold refrigerated cases where meats or salads are held. There is mold growing where the cold air circulates and if you ever get food born Illness symptoms after eating food from these cases. It's probably why. Brought it to the attention of managers and they still refuse to clean the mold in their cases. The meat department workers have also informed me the meat Safeway is packing and selling is very old and almost past expiration of use by before extra color and meat glue is used in your food. The simple fact Safeway does not require people to handle food for consumption and don't require a food handlers card is beyond belief.

The sale items are bate and switch, not clearly readable for handicap or older customers. Will never buy on sale items because it's better to drive to Eugene and shop at winco foods

Just had a conversation with the manager about the special prices for people who have computers are given. He informed me that it had to do with paperwork and everyone does it. I asked why elderly people can't be given the special price. If others get an item for $3.00 less and Safeway still makes money on that item, why not offer it to those of us who don't have the latest phones or don't know how to use those devices.I suggested that perhaps we should shop elsewhere and he thought that was fine.I spend hundreds of dollars there each month, but I guess they won't miss it. ,Anyone else feel like I do?

Was having issues with club card not working with discount items/rewards . Have contacted Safeway online chat . Still not working . Week later still having problems. Went to customer service to get help . As i saw a person there . When asking for assistance was told they were closed. He then walked away from me like i wasn’t there . I left my groceries and walked out . I rarely leave bad reviews. I get people can be busy but this was a blatant $&&&$?!! you . Not only is the help on on line chat useless , but so customer service at this store is as well.

Prices are climbing everywhere but at this store I've watch the items I normally purchase double in price in the last year. I've stopped buying all but a couple items there. Store seems clean and no issues with staff, just can't afford it anymore. Makes the trip to Eugene worth it now.

Beautiful store, kind employees. The bakery is bar none the best! They custom make gorgeous, delicious cakes that put the “Sugar Shack” cakes to shame- and at a fraction of the the price!

Bad experience at the bakery at 6:55pm on Tuesday may 23. Went in to get a cake out of the bakery section and there's a girl back there stacking bread on a cart doesn't acknowledge or help me right away after standing there for 4 mins I walk away to get help from someone else and they come back then she finally says do you need help and she's frustrated and is huffy.

Employees are great! Line was not bad today but can get backed up fast during the holiday weekend. Love that they still offered someone to help me out of the store today. (Thanks Jason!) Everyone was very friendly.

Holy cow, their prices were through the roof! I don't know if it was because it's Safeway, or because it's in a little tourist town on the coast, but I will be avoiding Safeway stores at all costs in the future.*Edit - I may have been a little harsh. I'm not from that area, so maybe those pierces are normal for that area. They seemed high to us though. The store was clean and well stocked, and I know that's not easy these days.

I've been traveling to Oregon coast eating at Safeway in multiple locations for the last 11 years. This last year has always seemed to be a problem when I arrive for my breakfast burrito. I've had issues with opinions on masks. But most Recently I feel like the burritos are not made as well with the quantity of product used for the price. The gal checked her watch this last time Assuming it was past 11 ready to turn me down, I know this because I have arrived just past 11 just a couple weeks ago and even though they have all the ingredients in front of them for it they refuse to serve. Bummer cause I loved the Deli.

The store seemed very clean. The lines weren’t super long, and got through them quickly. Had to use the bathroom. Which did not require a code. Saving the embarrassing moment of asking another adult to allow you to use the bathroom. The bathrooms (at least the men’s) were pleasantly clean. Large produce section was very welcoming upon entrance of the store. Very pleased with my quick trip through the store.

Such a nice experience! Very nice people greeted us right at the door. Everything is clean, organized, and very cool after coming in from outside. I found catfish in one of the freezer bins, and oh what a treat it will be for this southern girl! Great find for a great price💕

A good place to shop but if you tip the employees any cash they don’t get to keep it! Also the manager Micah needs to learn the terms shareholder and owner of equity funds powering the company before she decides to kick you out for asking why she ran and took a donation from the change return in self checkout! When I started to record her on video she told me I couldn’t and told me to leave! The donation goes to the church and so does an employee’s tip! She then barred me from entering said company and made me apologize for asking questions and making a scene! Wonder if she ever heard of undercover boss? I may have been laughing throughout the store but not to a point that it caused a problem! She is very rude and seemed as tho she had a chip on her shoulder! I’ve heard this woman cuss inside this church going establishment and maybe next time she decides to be ignorant in this manner she can be working for another company instead of the one I just so happen to own! Btw the gent in front of me passed on his change and I planned to do the same but add to it to keep it going! This woman has homeless fighting on the lot, dopeheads hanging out at the can return and trash from one end of the lot to the other polluting nature but her biggest concern was spare change and kicking me a tax paying law abiding citizen there as a private person not throwing my weight around! P.s. I own the equity fund for the entire company!

I love Safeway! I just think they should sell more gluten-free items, that aren't jacked up in price. COME ON! There is no way 1 loaf of Franz gluten-free white bread should cost $7.99. It is made right here in Coos Bay!!! Then the higher-prices - I am on a fixed income. I need to either eat and walk or drive and be hungry. Please don't raise the pricea because you can. I realize you are in it to make profits but just cut the profits down a bit...please.

The primary place I get my household groceries from. I use the pharmacy here as well, the pharmacy staff especially is VERY nice. If you're there long enough they'll recognize you and be super friendly. Overall a good experience.Only reason I didn't give a 5 star is due to one lady that works in customer service who tends to be rude. I don't know her name, but I'm not the only one who has had issue with her treatment of customers.
