I brought my Jack Russell Terrier in for his shots and to get him some treats. The staff was super kind and compassionate to both myself and Eddie. I took a taxi to and from, and the nice young lady at the register even got me a chair to sit in while I waited for my taxi. As I am disabled, this meant a lot to me. Thank you for your service and I will be in again!

You’re running your store staff too lean. The poor store clerk appeared to be the only person working the afternoon I was there. The store was packed and she was run ragged. I felt so bad for her. You need to hire more workers, people are looking for jobs (I have 2 people in my household actively dropping applications so I know it’s not a shortage of workers). Corporate is taking in more than enough. Treat your employees better and you’ll retain them.

I always go here to get fish. The man that helped me multiple times was very knowledgeable. He even helped me compatible fish, bottom feeders, food and tank supplies including an amazing plant that's growing like crazy only a week later. Highly recommend for people just starting a tank or anyone who has any questions.

I like Petco they got good deals on dog food and it saves me money. Since the cost of shopping at a grocery store is ridiculous, just made a pot of rice and a salad it holds me for the week 😀. LoL hard times these days 😭

Eugene, Oregon Petco employees are truly wonderful and caring people. They care very much about the well-being and safety of the pets that they sell and they are very informative and helpful to anyone who comes to purchase the products. Honestly one of the workers who I think was the manager was quite rude, I had gone in to get a pack of the refillable litter and almost every single one was half full. I would give it one star but the cashier was sweet.

My son and I bought a ferret from here. He's just WONDERFUL! We named him Eddie, and he's just so playful and funny and energetic and am absolute blast!!! He is so healthy, and was most definitely worth it!The store was clean and inviting, and all the associated knew what they were doing and they were very polite and helpful.

I want to emphasize that it's not the store's fault but more so the companies that my rating is so low. The store is very clearly understaffed (each time I've been in in the last month there's continuously been only 1 maybe 2 people working) and it shows. More than that, the big disappointment is in the overall options for cat things (treats, toys, collars/apparel). Please, as a company, do better. Your employees and customers deserve better.

This place is just perfect to buy fish and other animals. I was very proud to get 4 fish, three for me, and one for my Dad. I love the fish sooo much. The majority of the fish were very healthy. See what I loved was that the employee was very nice and explained the fish' genders and when certain fish were going to be on sale. He even showed me and my Dad which ones were pregnant. Which one of those is coming home with me tonight. This is one pet store I recommend to go to.

Currently waiting in the parking lot, it's now 9:07 a.m and no one has come to open the doors even though they open at 9 a.m. I tried calling and no one answered, so I think it's safe to assume no one has showed up yet to open the store. Not a good look.

Great staff. Their Betta seem very healthy. I got most of my set up there. The first tank had a defect. I took it back and they didn't have more of the same tank. But they gave me a discount on a better tank. Make sure to look online for stuff their online prices are better than in store. They will match their online price.

Our go-to dog groomer! Definitely schedule in advance, they get busy!This location the employees were a lot friendlier than others we've been to. Clean & happy dogs! 🐕 We will be back!

Yikes! Shelves dismantled and laying around the store. Items strewn about, it looked like a bomb went off. I looked online and the website said the item I wanted was stocked yet when I got there, the lady was like "I have no idea" and honestly I dont think anyone has any idea where anything is or where it is supposed to be. I drove an hour, wasted gas and time. This place is a hazard, hopefully they fixed it up by now but I was in utter shock.

Staff acts like they know everything about animals. Go to an actual pet store like hometown pets and they know what they are talking about and what is needed for the proper care of reptiles.

UPDATE: 110321 - DO NOT BUY FISH HERE - 2nd time in 6 months their fish have died and wiped-out fish in my tank. Manager was an AH to the MAXXXXXXX @X#@#X about money back warranty. So condescending. Really wanted to school him - it’s not about the money - it’s the principle of selling sick fish. But hey, he’s the one working at Petco. The rest of the staff were great. I will NEVER step foot in there again. Never been a fan but it was convenient. Its PETSMART 4 me!!!*****Sebastian in the fish department id IT!!!! He literally saved me hundreds of dollars on a new tank. I got a very inexpensive 10-gallon starter tank at another store. I was very unhappy with it. He asked me a lot of great questions that helped deduce that the problem was the lighting. I got a new light, a glass lid and new background. I am thrilled with the results! I have included a (bad) video but you have see the changes I reference and the lighting. The cost was more than the tank, but I got the what I wanted. Sebastian is exceptional – he know A LOT. I wish I had started the whole tank/fish process there, but I didn’t want to go to Petco - now I do....

Petco has a huge selection of healthy dog and cat food, and I appreciate having options. The store is easy to navigate, and an employee is there if you need help. I love that they donate to animal causes. Having a Petco customer card makes it easy to get discounts on products. You can just give your phone number to the cashier if you don't have your card.

The conditions the animals are kept are abysmal. Dirty, inadequate bedding snd too many animals in such small cages. This breed of bird is is extremely social and should be kept in pairs or groups yet it was completed isolated. Reading the fact sheets about how to care for animals have completely inaccurate info - causing animals to be kept in inadequate conditions for their entire lives. Do better PetCo.
