A great hardware store! The staff are very friendly, and helpful. This is the kind of store that I grew up with. They have a little of everything, but not in builder quantities. I love that I can grab canning supplies year round, and they stock parts for most common canners. This business is perfect for finding hard to get items for repairs that the big boys don't carry in stock. An absolute essential for the South Eugene neighborhood. Thank you True Value!

Eugene is so lucky to have this place.Most impressed with: large selection of home organizing accessories and general housewares. They have choices on things like dishracks, wire shelving, kitchenware, etc.I am told there is a whole lower level devoted to gardening and landscaping. Excited to see that.

The workers on the floor know what they're talking about, especially Doug, who is a certified G. I've been able to fix my toilet and sink thanks to his recommendations and help. He is a living directory for that place and they're lucky to have him!

What an amazing experience! I needed an arcane solution and someone spent 20 minutes helping me (it ended up working) and it turned out that person didn’t even work there! The check-out person said, “oh we have such great regulars.” I also found just what we needed for organizing my kid’s dorm. Great neighborhood gem!

The manager at this store was judgmental, passively aggressive and quite rude toward me while I did my best to locate the fasteners I needed here today. It’s a shame to encounter negativity like this when kindness is needed most.

I’ve always been a big fan of true value, they have fair prices, a great selection, and normally a great staff. But today was not the case on that last bit.The lady working the front desk was very condescending to me and to another guest at the other register. She was also very forthcoming with no ask. I saw her take the credit card out of the man’s hand at the other register, and getting all up in his personal space.A manager eventually showed up because there was a line forming. And he was very nice and courteous.She definitely needs some support in the, learning how to treat customers department.

What a great place this is!!I found two items I have been looking everywhere for, even the bigger stores.The store has a wonderful small town feel to it , yet it is loaded with fun discoveries in every aisle.Most of the sales associates are family of the original owner or have been there 25+ years. Every one of them, including the newer ones, were friendly and helpful!I was also impressed with their prices and value.Can't wait to visit again!

Hands down my favorite local store in town. Friendly folks who recognize you and actively seek to help you find what you’re looking for. Quite literally dozens of times over 10+ years they have taken time to explain and teach, including helping me save money and time doing simple repairs myself.The folks blathering on about rude employees & high prices—Has to be projection in almost every case. The folks at True Value are routinely kind and helpful, knowledgeable yet approachable. They routinely have sales, and great coupons in the mail that they accept even if expired. I love this place…literally, love it. Highly recommend!!

I love having a local hardware store so close at hand. The staff here has been very helpful and cheerful every time. I've gotten everything from kitchen supplies to gardening mulch to paint and construction items here. I even bought a new vacuum here when my suddenly died right before company arrived, and it still works great.

A family member recently purchasing a house for the very first time deserves a great present, especially one who is also a friend. While waiting for my child to finish up dance after school, I came to True Value to find some random kitchen gadgets for one of my famous house warming baskets. I take alot of pride in being a great gifter like my grandma was. One of the worker's asked me a few times if I needed assistance, I didn't but did try to engage in small talk once or twice over their great selection of items. I was then abruptly told to buy my stuff and get out or just get out. Confused, I asked if there was a problem and I was told that sometimes other people, not me or someone who looks like me just other people, will spend 45 min in the store and then leave and don't pay. I realized I was being accused of being a theif and immediately walked away in tears upon which he said that confirmed i was a theif. I think it is crazy to have no idea who you are talking to, what their circumstances are, and to speak to them so rudely. Had the man chatted back maybe I would have shared why I could take my time. Had I tried to steal then please, tell me off. But I did nothing wrong. My extended family have always highly recommended True Value to me and other's, not after today.

The owner kicked me out of his store for shopping with a backpack and gym bag. Be warned that if you carry a bag, you may be followed and asked to leave after significant time spent shopping, despite holding items for purchase in hand.Do not shop here with valuables you are unwilling to leave unattended or unsupervised by your person.Items are slightly overpriced (for some things) due to a lack of competition in the local (2-mile) area. Amazon, Lowe's, and Jerry's have comparable prices and selections. I suggest you go elsewhere first, with your hardware needs.

I go here all the time, and usually get what I'm looking for. It's super convenient for me, which is probably the only reason I spend so much money here. Prices are a little high, most of the staff is at least helpful, but one cashier is super rude and just prickly.

This Tru Value has everything you can think of.So equipped it's like a complete department store, including of course all of the typical hardware stuff.Even garden shoes, wooden gifts, candy(!), all of the kitchen items, etc.The ONLY problem is it's hours.

This is a great local hardware store. They are conveniently located in South Eugene and are easily accessible by car or bike. They carry a good selection and the people are pretty knowledgeable about plumbing and some electrical. It is a much quicker trip here than to one of the big box stores. This is almost always my first place I go.

I somehow manage to get good service in big box hardware stores, but I still prefer coming here for everything I can. True Value has a wide variety of items -- including kitchenware and canning supplies. And they're great at showing me where stuff is, answering my questions, and helping me out to my car with bulky or heavy things.

I have no idea how this store has so many good reviews. Maybe the staff is giving some of them. The absolute worst hardware store I have ever been in in my life. It wasn't one or two or was ALL the staff that was rude. Rude to me, rude to the little old lady in line, rude to a guy asking about screws. To say they were condescending is a compliment. Had about 6 of the bolts I needed. What a joke. I will never set foot in that ratty store again.Oh, they also had about 4 or 5 dogs in the store GROWLING at people and other dogs. I mean really? Really? Some people are terrified of dogs. And allergic. So having one growling right next to you is not cool. I went in for bolts and left in a panic attack. I don't know why they just couldn't be professional and not so rude to their customers. I wasn't rude to them. Terrible place. Just like, really bad.
