Update: Great job, Albertsons! Your polite response and friendly man in the produce department earned you another star.Very pricey for the area! I wouldn’t shop here again because the prices are significantly higher for the same products as other groceries in town. I’d have given it 2 stars simply for that, however their staff were friendly and helpful, so I found that refreshing. Also their produce selection was decent, and the store was clean and well stocked. These positives don’t make up for the price issue though, since other stores have polite staff, are clean, and have stocked shelves as well. Honestly, I can’t see why anyone would shop here. There’s no apparent positive discriminating feature to incentivize me to pay more.

I cannot buy produce that doesn't rot within days, nor can I pick produce without finding mold or rot. After demanding fresh oranges from the back they begrudgingly grabbed some after insinuating first in first out. Got new for you, I'm a chef, and that only applies to restaurants where we do not have insurance to cover our waste and we have to actually stock inventory based on business not failed projections of business coming back to a declining store. You know this is why customers are going elsewhere right?. Produce should last a MINIMUM of one week. If the produce is that old, and there is fresh that arrived that day your customers have the right to pick the fresh stuff. Seeing only two gallons of chocolate milk marked sell by "today's date" when I can see a pallet of fresh milk behind the shelves. This is low. Management is depriving sales of fresh food products until they move the old ones first, therefore preventing someone from grabbing the fresh jug from behind the old one, which lets face it, if people are buying the product then there is literally nothing wrong with that besides some illogical manager making weird decisions based on their time spent in Irrationallandia... Food doesn't work that way and multi-day expired meat on the shelves is really not a good look anywhere. Last gripe, it is sooooo easy to cut a straight steak. So why the hell are my choices two inches on one side and one inch on the other? Way to guarantee that the customer cannot cook this evenly unless they butcher a steak that they paid extra only to have a "professional" 'butcher' the job. Beef isn't cheap, I deserve an even mid rare for my money, not less than blue rare on half (raw) leather on the other side (makes well done look moist) and burnt on all sides because the necessary amount of heat required to sear the meat will burn the sides before cooking the huge unproperly butchered side. Quality has dropped below walmart on this one. And no one there even seems to know enough about how to cook food to understand why these are all problems. Although it boils down to shady business and ripping off customers to move more product. I'll make a point of bringing every perish to the customer service desk from now on, though unlike those getting paid to not do it I will do it for free because it is disgusting that you would ever consider selling it in the first place.*UPDATE* After talking to a couple lower level employees the disturbing reality is that they have been so understaffed and yet overworked at the same time that most don't even get to take breaks and are told to just deal with it? No wonder morale is so low there. Another young lady was iffy to speak before stating she is literally scared of her store manager since she needs to keep her job and he is intimidating? What the f*** is going on around here? The store manager has been telling them that since no one says they cannot take one that it isn't a break violation. It is your job to make sure they get to take their breaks. Period. Being called out on abusive tactics and then responding with "I'm sorry you feel that way" or "just deal with it like everyone else" are literally gaslighting statements. Hence why most women who work there feel too afraid to speak up due to the abusive brush offs by their male bosses. Only one employee stated his name for fear of ramifications. Pretty low Mark. Additionally, telling an employee that they need to choose between their marriage and their job is the type of thing you would expect to hear from a multidivorced absentee parent. Not a store manager.Ugh, now let's add an expired propane tank of all things to the issues with this store. Mark, learn how to read dates. It goes month, day, year. If you were in your children's lives you would know that from their education.

Wonderful store. Nice employees who are trying their best with a rough economy. Seems like nobody wants to work anymore. I appreciate all the employees at Albertsons!

Need better trained employees working customer service. Lady named Siobhan was clearly annoyed that I asked to pickup money with western union. She gave me a blank receipt and said I need to write down my name address and everything else, that’s not how it works. They usually take your id for verification and ask for the transfer number. She than said she needed a 9 digit transfer number which is incorrect, I told her it’s 10 and she proceeded to argue that it’s 9 digits. They were busy so I just walked out instead of asking for someone who knows what they’re doing.

For the best prices, make sure you are signed up and using the Albertson’s app. Also look for red tags throughout the store. Oftentimes you can find things for half price by looking for red tags. These can be clearance items, managers specials, and Friday deals. Currently there’s a lot of red tags in the hair products section.

Today I went to Albertsons pharmacy for a covid and flu shot. I have tried Walgreens, Rite Aide, as well as this Albertsons location for vaccines and this Albertsons is my preference. That's because signing up for an appointment online is super fast and easy, unlike the Rite Aide website which takes forever. My parents are older and don't understand how to use the websites for this kind of thing, so I prefer using a website which is less annoying and more efficient. Aside from the website, I never have to wait in long lines like at other pharmacies (even after signing up a long time in advance). Not to mention, the pharmacists who work at this location are much more attentive and concerned about your vaccination history. If anyone wants to get a vaccine, I highly recommend Albertsons. For buying food, I can't really recommend it because every item us about $2 more than say, Fred Meyer. But the pharmacy is quite good.

Albertson's is the new Safeway. The same store and helpful people. I even can find everything that I am looking for. And I am from out of state!

11/17/23.Stopped at the Albertsons on Division. We stopped at demonstration set up.My 9year old Granddaughter sampled the smoked cheddar and really liked it. She said (may I please have another piece? And the Demonstrator told her (this is not a free lunch program).

Negative 2 review if I could - If you are going to force me to use self-check-out with only one ‘service’ check out available, give me a discount and have someone at the self-check-out to help (vs splitting time between the only ‘service’ lane and the self-serve). I left my whole cart at your non-service scam. I stopped going here a number of months back because of the piss-poor service from the pharmacy (followed by the ‘whatever’ response when I spoke with them) but thought I’d stop in today for a ‘quick’ stop. Another customer permanently lost!

Jesus..disgrace to a big grocery store...love having to go elsewhere for other things..not!!..the checkers are nice though...besides the lazy lady at the cigarette counter.blonde...she walks away right when you walk up. But the rest are good..poor customer service..every other department. Not sure what these corporate douche bags are doing all day but they're not paying attention to this store for sure. I give it a big D- nice checkers saved the F

This location really needs to step their game up. It’s a bit uncomfortable being followed by obvious loss prevention employees and while trying to pickup groceries after work. The young lady in the green jacket followed me at a 4 ft distance around 3 isles before I stopped and stared at her and she just pulled her phone out and tried to act nonchalant before continuing to follow me. Awful, hire some professionals instead of teenagers who have absolutely no idea what they’re doing. All of this while there’s probably some tweakers a few isles over actually stealing. I should mention that I work at another Albertsons location locally, and I couldn’t imagine how many customers come in here daily and have to uncomfortably shop with all that going on.

Great produce and meats, prices have improved especially when using the app for deals and rewards. Store organization is improving but restocking is still lacking. There is no Peach baby food again for the 2nd month in a row.

Great store, always feel welcomed here. Almost always find what I need in stock and the employees are mostly friendly.I will say that if you are at the bottle returns though, customer service is REALLY slow... Ended up waiting 20+ minutes for assistance when one malfunctioned.

Great experience, but checking out has some issues. All the produce was fresh and the ready deli was nice and hot. Never had any issues with any groceries I got there, and the deals and coupons are great!Self-checkout will occasionally bug out and incorrectly assume weight, and the employee check-out lines are always pretty long despite the admirable efficiency of the staff. It's almost too popular for its own good and is a go-to for small-scale grocery shopping.

Tried to use the public restroom only to be locked out. Left the store. Four other shoppers left the store too. Time to find a new market.

Selection of goods was pretty good. The prices a little bit high for my liking but food is expensive anyway. And the staff was helpful and friendly.

We are a regular customer of Albertsons and spend a fair amount of time and money at this store. Prices are higher but the store and people are nice. Best part for us is the parking is good. However, The bottle return area is a filthy mess. The machines are more than half full already and one is generally not working. Getting help is painfully slow. You guys need to clean up you act a bit.An update on my review.I made a visit to the store for groceries and made an inspection of the bottle return area. WOW! What an improvement! It was Clean an well organized with machines working. You guys took the criticism seriously and restored my confidence.A big Thanks! From a Loyal customer.

The Santa Clara Albertsons is an interesting place. Like all Albertsons, it's not the cleanest, cheapest, nor most up-to-date, and on top of that you're always guaranteed to see some interesting individuals (whose numbers grow as the sun sets) hanging around outside which may deter some clientele. If you need something, it's a fine place to go, but this wouldn't be my first recommendation for a grocery store in the area.

They have the most friendly cashiers and a wonderful floral department! Dawn and Lala helped me create the perfect bouquet for my Mother-in-law on Mother's Day. She absolutely loved them and (for now) I'm back in her good graces. Thanks Albertson's!

I’ve just had unnecessarily rude employees interactions when I’ve come here. I work food service and am very kind and patient with customer service associates. Twice now I’ve gone to this store to get a deal I saw on their app. I had never had issues with the clipped deals at any other store, but these 2 times they didn’t work though I had clearly clipped them in the app. The employees gave me attitude and treated me like I was trying to get away with something even though they saw with their own eyes that I had clipped the deal. I’m sorry but when you have a deal for $0.97 haagen dazs, I’m not paying $6.49. I would have just gone to winco.

If I could give a negative star review I would!! I can not believe what just happened to me 5 min ago in this store!! I got a big thing of strawberries because they’re on sale right now! I get to check out after the strawberries have moved around a little and notice one with mold on it and another with huge holes and mold. I handed them to the lady at the self check out!! I WATCHED her pull the molded strawberries out throw them away and have another employee PUT THE STRAWBERRIES BACK TO BE SOLD!! This is absolutely disgusting!! Then I called to speak to a manager and the young kids isiah says I can call back tomorrow and speak to a higher up manager. I will NEVER buy from an Albertsons again!

I actually choose Albertsons on this particular occasion because I needed hygiene items and needed to use them more quickly than I could get home. Unfortunately, their bathroom was borderline disgusting. To make matters worse, two different people tried to hurry me up when I wasn't even in the restroom for three minutes. Just another reason Fred Meyer is my favorite big retail locally.

The store is dirty and I always find expired products on the shelves. There is usually only one cashier. The homeless presence doesn't help.Ricotta cheese expired April 16th on my May 12th trip to the store.
