Best BBQ in the Eugene area. Worth a pilgrimage! Brisket is perfect, slow cooked with bark and tender color. Great bartenders and a fun place to hear live music. Of course, fun to be in there and imagine Belushi and the Animal House crew dancing to Otis Day and the Knights!

Cool bar with good food. Stopped in for lunch after playing disc golf at Dexter state park which is across the road. Lots of Animal House photos.They also have video poker.

Saddened there wasn't any fireworks this year but had an awesome dinner and sat out back to enjoy karaoke. I'm not from Oregon but I do know they love the movie Animal House and to dine and drink here was an exciting evening. We had the California Club and the Diablo burger both were amazing.

We go the karaoke on Thursdays and it's the best in the county thanks to Jared and all the wonderful singers who show up every week. The owners are great people and their employees always provide excellent service and a welcoming atmosphere. Thank you.

A must!Living in Texas previously, hard to find a good BBQ spot.Ribs, with meat falling off the bones!Great brisket!Different BBQ sauces, al tasty and not overdone.I was passing by and decided to try it.Impressed, definitely going back.Highly recommend it!

Ok, so every restaurant in Eugene claims to have awesome burgers. I've tried nearly all of them and they shouldn't even be in the same room as Dexter Lake Club. The Coaches Burger (bacon, onion ring, BBQ) is hands down the best burger in Eugene. Make sure you bring an appetite because it is two 1/3lb patties. If you can't handle that go for the Assistant Coach which is only one patty. Not only is the taste and quality fantastic, the price makes the food a tremendous value. I have never steered away from the burgers because they are so damn good, but everyone tells me the BBQ and ribs are equally to die for. I can't recommend this place enough to grab burgers and beers. I guarantee you won't regret it.

Garred is probably the best bartenders I have ever had. He had the whole place laughing and acting like a real community. I'll be back here hope he is serving. . 10 out of 5 stars! Everybody come here. Do yourself a favor.

Red. Dark. Small. Short ceilinged. "Animal House" memorabilia. I do not drink so I do not hang out in bars. I had to order my BBQ here at the bar. Why? Why do places do things like this? The bartender? She was pleasant and professional. Tip her well.

Pretty good split between bar & barbecue joint. Ate in the barbecue side; with helpful, friendly & fast service. The range of sauces was wonderful & an idea for them to bottle & sell some as we definitely would have bought a couple.We had the pulled pork, chicken, & spicy brisket sandwiches with one order of cheese fries. Wonderful! The pork was perfect, the brisket could have had more spice but was still juicy & tender, & the chicken was really succulent.The link to Animal House could have had a bigger nod but maybe there aren't that many fans out there to justify the effort.Finally, window seats have a decent view of the reservoir.

Food was great. Half a chicken and a side for 10 or 12 bucks. Could not go wrong. I recommend this place for anyone to try if you like smoked meat. Our sons loved the burgers also. Oh a d the tacos were amazing.

The work that they've done to refurbish this place is extensive, but well conceived and executed. The staff are friendly, personable and professional, and the food is first rate.I can't wait until they're allowed to open completely and return to what they had before the pandemic.

Went on Sunday night to an open jam. Was a blast, the musicians were excellent and played outstanding renditions of classic blues and blues inspired rock. The atmosphere was relaxed and comfortable, the crowd was attentive and appreciated. I highly recommend to all music lovers!

Great BBQ and staff! Love to ride out there on Wednesdays Ang get my grub on. If you get a chance try the ribs, fall off the bone good! The sandwiches are off the chain as well, in fact everything I've had is good. Check them out you won't be sorry.

Rattlesnake BBQ is a great place. I have refined my order to a so-called 2 x 3 that I share with my partner. That's two meats (you have to get the NW brisket, the other is up to you) and 3 sides (you have to get cowboy or normal beans, the rest is up to you). You won't be disappointed. I make the 25 minute drive from my house in Eugene probably 2 times a month. Delicious, and good people too.
