We've stopped by Depoe Bay many times over the years and have struggled to like the popular suggestions. This one though, we love! Our kid loves the potato tornado of course and we usually order some fish and chips. We get the salmon and cod. The portion sizes are enormous and we share among four of us. They do use lots of seasoning which we appreciate but I can see that some of us other... Let's say bland preferring folks might be overwhelmed by. Look forward to coming back!

I like fish and chips, but especially salmon and chips. The fish was cooked to perfection, not overly cooked and dry like most places are. Like the beer batter as well. And you can tell the salmon is wild because of that bright orange coloring, not pale like farmed salmon - so it was delicious. Great food aside, I have to admit I wasn’t crazy about the tartar sauce or fry sauce. I personally like sauces on the sweeter side and these sauces were not. They gave lots of fries but alas, if the sauces were more flavorful, I would have given 5 stars.

Perfect little spot to grab a warm meal on the coast. Casual, friendly, great bang for your buck. The chowder was incredible- so much flavor and they don't skimp on the clams.Each fish & chips comes with 6 pieces; I asked to try 2 of each fish available (cod, halibut, salmon). Not a single piece was dry. Perfectly lightly battered. The fries are crispy and flavorful (maybe they fry them in the same fryer bc the fries have so much flavor). A must-try if you're passing through Depoe Bay.

This seafood restaurant has me in awe! Always looking to try out a new place and haven’t made a trip to the coast in quite some time so wanted to get out of the normal places I have and let me tell you, this was SO WORTH IT! Seriously!!!! If you’re debating on trying it out, the answer is YES, DO IT! You will not regret it! Cashier / server was very kind and answered any questions we had promptly. Got the shrimp PO boy, halibut and chips and splurged on a potato tornado. The “chips” are hands down the best fries I have had. They are clearly made in house with house made seasons and they are so delicious! The potato tornado had the perfect seasoning with a slight crunch and was so unbelievably tasty. The breading on the shrimp and halibut was phenomenal. Not thick and battered, but more like a light breading. Didn’t feel overly greasy to where you got a belly ache immediately after either. The hot sauce came on the side or directly on top of the po boy, but not being a huge spice lover, I got mine on the side. Did a little taste test before diving all the way into it, and it was like a slightly spicier Tabasco, but very tolerable and super flavorful! I don’t think you could go wrong with any item here, definitely a must try if you’re in the area!

I was really excited to come try the food here, so I stopped by for lunch at the beginning of a coast road trip. The halibut on a stick was of good quality, but not seasoned at all/ it lacked flavor. If it was better seasoned, I would eat it again. The potato on a stick, which I was most pumped about, was fried too long and tasteless, definitely not what I was expecting. There was no one else in the place when I was there. The people working there weren't personable, friendly or inviting, (they didn't greet me when I walked in either) but I know it's difficult to find good staff these days. The place was nicely decorated and had a pretty good atmosphere though. It could be really great if a few things were fixed.

What a great place to eat! The fish was fresh, delicate, crisp and delicious. Not heavy at all. Loved the seasoned fries that came with it. The chowder is not like any other on the coast. Has some chili or smoked paprika (or both?) It is quite delicious too. The 'potato tornado' was fine. Fun, but the fries are better. Good value for money too.The space is modern and clean.Highly recommend!

The best fish and chips on the Oregon Coast!!! I visit the coast often for day trips and can honestly say Sticks is the best Halibut and fries on the coast . Their fish is lightly battered meaty and fresh to order . Their tarter and fry sauce is unmatchable . I highly recommend if you are on the coast . 🐳❤️🐠💥

This is a cute little place.Sweet gal took our order at the counter, then brought food to our table. It was very quick. Food was great, and lots of it. We had cod fish and chips. Yummy. Too full to have ice cream cone after.I'd go back when in Depoe Bay.

Ordered halibut fish and chips. Food was tasty and good but seriously expensive. There were 5 small pieces of halibut in a huge mound of fries. $22 for a mound of fries with a few small pieces of fish seem out of balance to me.Renaming the dish to popcorn halibut would better describe the dish.

Alright. I’ll say it. One of the best fish and chips I’ve had outside of Ireland. The chowder is buttery, sweet and mildly spicy all in one. It’s rich, smokey and definitely hits the spot on a cold misty day.The cod fish and chips were so good! They use local beer for the batter which created a flavorful and crispy layer on the outside while piping hot and soft on the inside. That’s what makes a good fish and chips.The platter comes with 2 sauces, one “fry sauce” which is kinda like thousand island dressing and the other a homemade tarter sauce. Judging by the slightly red tint I’d assume there is paprika in both, creating slightly smokey notes.I had so many fries left over so I’d recommend splitting a plate if you are getting the chowder as well!

We saw this place yesterday on our way down to Newport, Oregon. On our way back to Lincoln City we stopped & checked our the menu. We come to the Oregon Coast, Lincoln City, every year in October. We decided to go there today & check it out. My boyfriend had the Salmon & Chips and I had the Halibut & Chips. They are both so yummy! The Best we've had this side of Yaqina Bay Bridge. We try fish n Chips at different places all the time. This by far is one of the Best places! Sharon & Jimmy are really nice! Will definitely will return! Try them out! Omg this place serves AMAZING food!!Handsdown the BEST fish & chips on the Oregon Coast! Fresh ingredients, super friendly customer service, homemade chowder & dipping sauces...and the ale battered fish just incredibly delicious. We have stopped here several times now, and everything on the menu is our favorite. You get a lot for your $$! Delectable ale-battered salmon or halibut, mouth-watering shrimp, chips are crispy seasoned steak fries, clam chowder has a wonderful smoky flavor, their homemade fry & tarter sauces are incredible, the chicken is outstanding, and the potato tornados are beyond delicious!! After enjoying their amazing fish & chips, they also offer several different flavors of Tillamook ice cream too. Shout out to The Stick's Kelsi & Annie for creating such a friendly & super nice atmosphere for the whole family! Thank you, we will be back!Highly Recommended! 5+ Stars!

Wonderful fish and chips - so fresh, GREAT batter and some of the best service I’ve received anywhere. If I lived closer I would become a regular. I had halibut but also sampled cod and salmon from the others in my group. All top notch!

The cod and chips was fine. It was freshly made, which is always nice. The fries were crispy. They are the kind with the coating. I didn’t care for the breading on the fish. It was too strong of a beer flavor and a bit over cooked and oily. The cod inside of the breading was tender and flavorful. There were a ton of fries. I maybe ate less than half. The homemade sauces were not the best. I wouldn’t eat here again, but it wasn’t bad. I came in the middle of August on a Tuesday around 3, and it was impossible to park anywhere, especially with my dogs. Some outside seating where dogs can be at some of these places would be amazing.

I live locally and it is always nice to see some new eating spots move in to the area. I had the Shrimp Po Boy, which is a delight to see because there are not many Po Boy sandwiches in town. In all the food was quite good, the price was more than fair. I also tried a "Potato Tornado", it is a clever and unique item that is sure to be a popular treat with the kids, though the Ice Cream they serve will probably be more for the kids than anything.The dining area was clean and cozy, it overall felt very inviting. I was glad to see it was busy the day I visited and despite several orders ahead of me I was still able to get my meal in a reasonable time. Overall a great experience and hope to try some more menu items in the future.

Unusual to see so many 5 star reviews yet The Sticks deserves every one. Great batter on the salmon, light and crispy and lots to fries to go with their homemade fry sauce. I highly recommend this one!
