I came here for coffee a couple times on a recent trip to Depoe Bay and was delighted by the entire experience.First, the coffee is amazing. I had a cappuccino the first visit and loved it. The second time I had an iced Americano so that I could taste all of the coffee flavor. And it was so good. So smooth.i just love their coffee. They also stock some tasty breakfast treats and food.Now let's talk about the people that run it. They were all super nice, which is always helpful first thing in the morning. Very nice people.Last, but not least, the building is well cared for and there's a small shop with all kinds of fun, kitschy items.If you're in Depoe Bay, give them a try!

Was lured here based off of the sign in the front that says "Best of the Best Coffee" - was definitely not disappointed, especially because we are decaf drinkers now. Their decaf in an iced Americano with some toasted marshmallow was absolutely sublime. Our niece also got a Mango Smoothie which was crazily good and was a delightful unexpected treat for a coffee house to have.Building is located shortly before the boardwalk of Depoe Bay, and the parking situation can be a little sketch to find, but the building is awesome inside and the customer service was fantastic. Was everything that you'd want out of a coffee house experience.Highly highly recommend and understand the sign and the hype behind Pirate Coffee Company. Easily the best coffee we've had in Lincoln City/Depoe Bay yet.

The coffee was pretty good for around here but nothing extraordinary like the rest of the reviews say. Although we just moved here from northern Idaho and in northern Idaho they has pretty good coffee so it could just be because we're used to that. The marionberry scone was delicious! Not to dry at all! It was really cute in there not too heavy on the pirate theme which I personally like. Very homey coffee shop! 😊

Fantastic experience! The staff were wonderful and welcomed us like we were family. The shop has a fun atmosphere and the coffee was delicious!Kid-friendliness: There were little games for kids as well as neat things you could buy for them.

Ahoy, matey! That's a lotta bravado ... I mean, "Best of the Best"?! ... But methinks it's appropo for both the genre (Pirates be known for their confidence!) and for the quality of what fills the tankards here.Yes, I am a spicy wench, and I thoroughly enjoyed the beverage, minus the buttered rum syrup because I am plenty sweet enough thankyouverymuch and don't need a lick of that tooth rot.The place smells incredible because the magic beans are roasted right in the cafe. It's also fully laden with clever kitsch ... including the real cannonball on their counter and the gorgeous book art hanging with their bean menu.It's all owned and operated by a couple generations of a local family, and much of the art is supplied by their own baristas. Every bucko is greeted warmly, and there was plenty of laughter and friendly scuttlebutt served up with the caffeinated grog.It proved a perfect spot to rest my pins and relax for a few.Godspeed, me hearties!

Wonderful coffee and friendly people. The smell of fresh roasted coffee when you walk in the door is amazing. The owners are very nice and you can tell they put a lot of love and care into their business. It’s not easy owning a small business and I appreciate how hard they work (our family has a small business too). We love coming here whenever we get to the coast and stop by every day to get our coffee and support this local business. When vacationing in this area, we leave our espresso machine home.

Good quality coffee, nice servers. Prices are as expected (3-5$ for a latte). If you're in the mood for something sweet get the "spicey wench" with chai, espresso and butter ruk flavoring. Enjoyed their blueberry scones.Would return again.

Great coffee and they keep all the COVID measures. Strongly recommended. After you get your coffee you could take a stroll along the Depoe Bay harbor, it’s spectacular. 💜❤️💚

Absolutely one of my MUST visits along the coast. The girls that own the place are dually the main baristas and just down right lovely humans. There coffee is absolutely amazing and their hown beans. The over all vibe here is just fun and welcoming. Another super lovely thing, is that while at most ships along the coast you'll find trivial mast produced things, this place is full of a ton of local art and goods that you can buy. AND it's a short walk from the ocean. Just absolutely love it here ♥️

It's as tourist-focused as any other shop in Depoe Bay, but it has the goods. Fabulous cup of coffee. We time our trips to Newport around this place. Get an espresso or a drip and a bag of freshly roasted beans to take with you back home.Parking: Parking can be a trick as there are only two spots along 101 in front of the shop. You might need to get creative.

Coffee was great but the sisters who own the place were FANTASTIC! Their service was above and beyond! I didn't realize they closed at 3 and when my children and I showed up at closing they were more than happy to make sure we had what we needed before heading back on our road trip. I will definitely be making this my go to coffee shop at the coast!

Pirate Coffee is easily one of the best coffee shops in Oregon. We live near Portland and come to the beach 3-4 times a year. We never come to the beach without stopping here. I buy 5 lbs of coffee to take home because you just can’t find coffee this good in Portland. I sometimes have coffee shipped to me too. I purchased the coffeemaker of the month club for my Mom who lives in Medford and she absolutely loves it. The owners are sisters that work in the shop everyday. We are greeted with a warm smile every time we go there. We have been visiting this shop for over 15 years. We started when their parents owned it. They have 2 small roasters and they roast all of their own coffee in the shop. The smell is heavenly. This is nothing like the big boys shop and you will not regret stopping here for delicious coffee and homemade pastries.

It's okay. Perhaps we came in on an off day. They seemed more annoyed about us coming in than anything else(9:30am). I was really excited. They roast on site and I was keen to give it a try. I read the reviews and maybe set my expectations too high. That's on me. But treating people like they're unwelcome and a burden instead of like a valued customer and possible regular was off-putting, to say the least. Anyway. It's fine. I guess. The coffee was better than what you could make at home. I may try them again. Maybe. But I'm not in a hurry

Wonderful coffee. I order dopio from a stand I haven't been to before, and this blew me away. The espresso was smooth, solid, and rich. No burn. Just a wonderful full bodied mouth that made me ask: who's the roaster and what are the beans.The shop roasts their own, and the blend united a complementary set of beans to produce a force of nature as unstoppable as the tide. So impressed with the experience, I bought beans to take home.Parking: Park in front, beside the highway.

Pretty average coffee in Depoe Bay, OR. They caught us driving in from the North with their advertising and the coffee was pretty average, very milky and I wish I had waited longer to get further into Depoe Bay for a coffee. Still, the staff were friendly and it was a cute spot, so that was redeeming.
