Nit a dollar store as one might think.. prices are ehh. But theydo have a bit of everything. Its like a mini Fredd Meyer. Frozen foods, dairy, candy, yard stuff, bedding, bath stuff, reading material, dvd's, automotive, cleaning supplies, and yes toys for the minions. Ooh almost forgot ice and mixers for the adults. 😉

What an interesting store, is it a grocery store? A pet store? A card shop? A mini mart? The coolest place ever!?? They have a HUGE selection of seeming everything......Update: After living in Dayton for the past 19 months, and frequenting the store, at least twice a week, I have to give some serious props to the Dayton store staff. So Added that 5th Star.The only negative anything I have experienced is what seems to be the new norm pretty much everywhere, but the Dayton store has clearly been short staffed this past year, feels like more often in the evening. But even short staffed, they are stellar. I've never waited long for service, and I have had nothing close to resembling a negative experience. I have to give the evening staff an extra shout out because I'm that guy that rushes in 8 minutes before closing time to grab milk and dish soap, and I always do my best to hustle so they aren't stuck working late, but still, I know how it feels to have people come in to any business right at closing time. So i have much respect for the fact they have always treated me with the same respect as if I strolled in at 2pm not 9:53pm. Thanks guys. * Note to Dollar General Corporation: You have something like 10,000 stores spread across America. What say you start stocking a small amount, really any amount of fresh produce. As the only option in our town it would be so much healthier and more convenient all around for Daytons entire population. It's a 15 min drive to the next store that sells green things. Just sayin.

They have a lot of items in spite of its size. The staff were very friendly, I was greeted upon arrival and everything was well stocked and looked neat. There are two things that I don't like about it, one is how dark it is in spots and how very narrow the aisles are. But I was treated very well both times I went. Both cashiers were fast and efficient and easy to talk to.

Dollar General is all about convenience. Good prices, helpful staff and a little bit of everything. From groceries to hardware, home goods, party supplies and seasonal goodies. Plus, they're always having special sales and discounts. A small-town version of Walmart.

Small store - small selection. Certainly off the main thoroughfare and not really worth the trouble to get there. Locals love it because of its low prices, but I found I can easily do better in either McMinnville or Newberg and you don't have to hear any banjo music, if you know what I mean. Dayton is a creepy, little town...

It's out of the way but I was surprise at the quality of stuff they have. Everything you could possibly need even my ice cream was there. And the prices were very good. He rang me 47 dollars I couldn't believe it

Deceptive dollar store. Unlike all other dollar stores, most items in this store cost more than a dollar. I went to this store thinking it was basically a dollar tree competitive store. But upon looking at the prices, I quickly discovered this store was anything but. The store has a very small aisle where everything is a dollar other than that everything in that store is more than a dollar very deceptive name and overpriced.

This is not a Dollar tree. Better quality items, and not everything costs $1. The staff were very friendly and the store was very well organized and had a variety of things one might need.

I personally think the manager here at Dayton Dollar General is rude and very argumentative. She treats some customers like second class citizens. I live directly across the street from Dollar General. I have been embarrassed and intimidated and rudely talked down to by the manager... Why you ask??? Because I dare bring a bag of cans and bottles to the store. I will tell anybody and everybody that will listen to me, Why I won't set foot in the store anymore. Sincerely Frank Brodeur

You know I like this store and never have a problem with any body the owner or manager lady is is very sweet kind with wonderful business skills unlike one of the people she decided to hire horrible business skills very rude and no bedside manner I feel like every time I walk through that door she is glaring at me or judging me for making me feel like she has a problem with me she's the heavier-set Spanish gal every time the owner turns her back she's rude to customers

The creation on the dollar store is one of my favorite things. If you live in the McMinnville area you have 1 dollar tree and another in Newberg. Now you know about this gem in Amity. Now if only it would show on dollar tree searches.

Employees are lazy! When asking for any type of assistance, whether with the DG app, DG sales, or if something might be in stock - NO HELP! Can't lift a finger. Not to mention as far as their "rules" go, they are only enforced by the manager who rarely seems to work.
