What a wonderful way to start my morning!!! Walked across the street from my motel to grab breakfast. Ordered the country fried steak smothered in country gravy with an over-medium egg, hash browns, and two slices of rye toast plus a cup of black coffee. I also ordered a slice of butterscotch pie to-go that I'll be having later on for an afternoon treat. The waitress was super warm and attentive. And the decor was almost like a mini-museum. It was all very Central Oregon and I mean that in a very good way.

The Mohawk Restaurant looks a little rundown and divey, but the food is great. We were traveling on Hwy 97 and saw all the positive reviews and decided to stop in. My patty melt was exactly what you hope it will be like. I ordered onions rings which were picture perfect. You see pictures of beautiful onion rings on many menus, but this place actually delivers. Friendly and courteous service.

This restaurant was conveniently located across the street from our motel so we walked across the highway.And we were glad we did. The place is a bar as well though we did not participate in that activity - even though it was karaoke night.We were promptly seated and our waitress was cordial and joking while telling us of the special and taking our order.I got the prime rib special with a baked potato and vegetables while my wife and in-laws ordered the chicken basket with fries and/or onion rings. Before we knew it the food had arrived and we all enjoyed our dinner. I was able to snag a chicken strip from the wife along with some onion rings but gave her some of my steak and baked potato.The decor was a plethora of mounted animals along the walls. I didn’t know some of them were to be found in Oregon.It was a good meal to end a long day of travel.Parking: A large lot that could accommodate an army.Kid-friendliness: Some toddlers were off their leash and we enjoyed their antics. Their parents obviously were comfortable with the place and the kids bothered no one.

Fantastic food and friendly service. Food was out promptly, and it was just as amazing as it looks! Really appreciate the waitresses hospitality! It's really great to get the quality deserved when paying for food. Keep up the great work!

Decided to stop here on our way home from Bend. Cute cabin like atmosphere, warm and cozy feeling all around. Waitress/server at the bar was so sweet, so kind, and perfect service.Food was great and came out in less than 10 minutes! Oh and we decided to take home a cinnamon roll from the back diner room case, it is sooooooo good, eating it as I type :)

Quiet "locals only" feel dinner. Great place to get a bite if you're heading up or down highway 97.Building has an awesome lodge feel. Wish I knew the history of it, but I couldn't find anything.Great food, delicious friends, and great service.

Ordered the all you can eat taco bar. Beef was greasy, chicken was rock hard as was the refried beans. Nothing had been touched it looked like since the bar was set up. Was really disappointed to begin with when I wanted to order a steak and only option was a flat iron steak. My husband ordered that and it took three times to get it cooked right. Have not been back since this experience. Service is usually great and atmosphere is great, however its always a hit and miss when it comes to food.*********************************************Also apparently no one bothers to pay attention to the ticket!!!!!! Steak with out the side of horseradish requested and now a side of mayonnaise that would have been on my sandwich but requested to be on the side. Come on !!!!!!!!

This was our first time dining here. Had the fish/ chips with chowder and salad, perfect portion, fish was lightly breaded and cooked to perfection, not soggy or oily and stayed hot thru the last piece. Definitely will stop here again . I didn’t get the name of our waitress/server but she was also great.Parking: Large parking area

Mohawk restaurant is what the name stands for !Classic dining unique ambience filled with uncountable number of aritificats to look at.The place is family owned and seems really popular with local people.We were a hungry bunch and left satisfied however few points to mention are this place functions exactly how it was 20 years back.Not much has changed here, the servers are really friendly and welcoming.We ordered bunch of food items you can see in pics, everything was decent and tasty but not out of the world either.All in a good experience dining in Oregon’s 80 year old diner.

This place is one of a kind. The decor makes it worth stopping alone. We were the first ones on for dinner. It is obviously beloved by locals as many more people showed up and seemed to have personal conversations.The service was excellent. Waitress asked very specific details about salad toppings and what the kids wanted.Food was good. I liked that they leave a pitcher of water on the table as I am always drinking it all.

We stayed at the motel next door on our way through to Crater Lake. We had breakfast, dinner and drinks here. We loved this place! The prices were good for the amount of food you get and the food was good. We also chatted with a lot of the staff who were all incredibly kind. We met the owner as well and he was awesome! If you’re driving through Crescent I would definitely recommend stopping here!

Friendly staff and delicious food! I had their special of the day which was a crispy chicken salad and it tasted great, even came with garlic bread. The interior decor consisted of some old fashioned Jim Beam bottles that were very interesting to look at, as well as all of the taxidermy animals. The parking lot also had plenty of room for rv’s and trailers.

We've popped into the Mowhawk on and off for the past 25 years. I was very sorry when It closed and very happy when it re-opened under new management. There was one other occupied table when we dropped in for lunch. The table behind where we were seated was loaded with dirty dishes and uneaten food. It was never cleared while we were there. After sitting for almost 10 minutes, we had to find the server and ask for a menu. The food was strictly mediocre. The tots that accompanied the chicken strips were stone cold. The cold food, including the pieces that I had bitten into, were returned to the fryer and re-served. We won't be stopping there again.

This was such a great place to stop. Delicious, homemade breakfast. Staff was great. My son and I loved the food and all the decor. Such a cool place. Definitely a must for traveling Highway 97.

This is a treasure trove of a place. Lots of interesting history on the walls. Worth a stop if you are in that part of Oregon. Food is very so so but the staff were great fun and are prepared to explain how all the memorabilia got to be in the place

Great place to eat! Clean!! The only clean place in the area to eat. We tried two places up the road in Chemult that we're both filthy. Friendly people, lots of eclectic stuff to look at inside. Great atmosphere. The Picture doesn't do it justice, sorry.

We had such a great experience here! The new owners were so friendly and accommodating, personally asking us how everything was when we were done. The food was incredible! Honestly the best French dip I've ever had. And the French fries are to die for, they're the perfect kind of crispness on the outside. So excited we found our local place when we come through this area! Will definitely be back in again soon!

Friendly, down to earth waitresses. Exceptional portions of good-for-the-soul comfort food that came out quickly and was delicious! We got the Mohawk, the chicken fried steak, and it we got toast, pancakes and a biscuit. It was all terrific and a wide spread of food for the pricing.We left very happy and are already planning our next outing here. I want to try the omelets and hubby has his eye on a breakfast burrito we heard about. Yum!

The food was delicious but the service was bad. The waitress was not attentive and so soft spoken I couldn't hear her when she was standing next to me. We didn't get refills on coffee or water without asking and had track her down each time. When you take the coffee pot to fill one cup, make a round of the whole restaurant and refills all customer cups before taking the pot back to the burner. Safe yourself from doing multiple trips. The food is worth the wait, but bring your patience!
