Bar tender is very disrespectful, man in bar threatened my lady with a gun. Called police and reported. Was immediately 86’d for reporting and man who threatened was allowed to stay. Terrible atmosphere, terrible bar tenders, owner sexualizes and approaches female customers. Watched a large rat come from kitchen area. Would not recommend to my enemies 👎🏻

I went in to try the daily special, oulled pork sandwich, sweet potato fries, and cole slaw.After being ignored, I saw the sign that said to go to the bar to order.On the way to the bar I decided to use the restroom. It was filthy and stunk!I went to the bar and there was no one there.I went back out and waited to be waited on. Finally, I started to leave. The cook yelled "What do you expect? I'm the only one back here!"I left and won't be back.

One word: Wow! My wife and I had dinner here and it was phenomenal! She had the chef’s special of the night and I had a regular cheeseburger. Courtney was our cook and she made for great company during our visit. The food was expertly prepared and some of the best we have had in all of our travels throughout the West. There’s also a full bar behind the cafe with incredible staff and fun regular customers. All in all, this was a great dining experience and we recommend this place to anyone passing through Cottage Grove.

We have the best bartender ever. We came in on July 28th and the evening and our bartender was the best of the best. She had an outgoing personality. She was bubbly. She made you feel happy, wanted and please she was funny. And she can walk like an EgyptianDietary restrictions: Just ask the cook. Knew everything that was and everything. However, I think he was much more concerned about his phone than he was the customer standing in front of him. So usually I feel like its a 5 star place! I have always enjoyed it. However recently their newest bartender is not the greatest. A little slow. Which I understand, she's new, but very rude to my husband. Every time. We went there on Sunday for my birthday which was also free pool night. My husband lost his id there. We called to see if it was there a few days later and luckily it was. However when he went in to get it she quite rudely said he should pay for his pool next time. It was FREE POOL NIGHT! He dropped it out of his pocket when he pulled out his smokes. I don't think she should be there long if she's going to be that snotty.

The owners psychotic wife literally yelled in my face and harassing me after I told her to leave my friend alone after she came and told her that she has let herself go and isn’t pretty anymore since being with her currently boyfriend. I don’t even know her, and never even come to the grove. I had one drink in the course of an hour and this woman was drunk screaming in my face. Guess her name is Anna.

Honestly I had a pretty great time but bartender said they were only taking cash for some reason. Around the 3rd drink when I was pretty tipsy the bartender stopped giving me my change back. It was pretty dumb of her because otherwise I would have left her a tip but I’m not about to give a girl a tip no matter how cool she seemed after some stunt like that.

Apparently it’s okay for the owner’s wife to harass customers who are minding their own business and kick them out, and scream in their faces while shes clearly very intoxicated. Unacceptable behavior.

Nice small town bar and grill. The burger was great, cooked to perfection and delivered with a smile. I may have missed the sign stating "cash only" so no plastic accepted. No big deal. ATM. on premises. I'll go back, i love small town places with their genuine smiles and friendly attitudes.

Bartender is a rudest ive ever seen, will not go into detail about our visit but to make it perfectly clear...zero customer service, zero professionalism...so you got zero on your tip because of that.Surely there is a younger more sociable person to do this job, anyone is better than this old, rude, eye broccoli bartending currently.

Awesome hamburgers fried on a REAL grill with the buns toasted the same way. SO much better than fast food !!! Also, we have had one on one attention from the cook each time we've been there.The eating area has been completely remodeled from floor to ceiling. Small diner that is a big surprise!!!

It's ok. It is your typical small town bar. Sometimes it's great. Most times dull as hell. Food is crummy but there are other places to go. We don't go to "The Grove" for food. We go there to drink and if we are lucky take someone home.If you remember Animal House it is briefly shown in the final crazy parade, which yes was filmed here in Historic Cottage Grove Oregon.

It's a beer joint that sells whisky, the food however was 4.5 stars. The cook was very conciencous came to our table to verify exactly how we wanted our burgers prepared and they were perfect in everyway... sort of like when I look In the mirror? .... could there be a country song here somewhere? Anyhow a tip of the old stetson to that lady cooking kind felt like it was cooked like she was cooking it for herself

I love this place. The workers are super awesome, and the drinks come as requested. It only ever is packed on weekends or events, so that's nice when your weekends arent typical weekends!
